What I would say is that Bird, Magic, Jordan, and Chuck all made basketball so entertaining that it is still fun to watch all of them - even in interviews. I noticed that Bird and Magic are still trying to save basketball in every interview. They put the new guys up. They give the old audience permission to like the new players. They humble themselves in comparison.

If I'm not mistaken, Jordan was earning more from endorsements than what he made in NBA salary for a couple of years. Just looked it up. He made more from per year on his first Nike contract that he did on his whole first NBA deal.

I agree with Charles about the eclipse. I went outside and watched it because I happened to live in the path of it. And it was cool for what it was. But I wouldn't have driven out of my way to go view it, it only lasted for abour 4 minutes. It wasn't anything worth making it out like it was a life changing moment or anything ridiculous like that.

SGA is basically an American. Jokic, Embiid, Porzingis, Wembenyama, Giannis, and Rudy Gobert are all 7' tall. The Dream Team inspired 7' tall people to take the only job in the world where 7' tall get paid millions. During the dream team there was Sabonis, Olujawon, Mutombo, Bol, and Tony Kukoc who were all 7 feet tall as well. Yao Ming, Vlade Divac, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, and Marc Gasol were 7' tall.
