I don't even understand why cancel culture is a thing. It's stupid if you want to make a real difference do research before you do stupid shit. Don't go try and ruin someone's life when they don't even deserve it and when they do we can still be civil about it and acknowledge that people make mistakes and that we allow them to correct those. And that's coming from a 15 year old.

As a teen I see first hand all the bullshit my generation gets up to. I find it's less sticking to stupid causes and more blindly following causes and then not understanding the difference between a serious problem and people just being outraged at nothing.
What people nowadays don’t understand is, that when you say something, someone, somewhere will be offended by it. You can’t just “cancel” someone because you’re butthurt. Like, just don’t watch something if you don’t like it.
Kinda sucks people can't take a joke and people try to take everything out of context and overanalyze everything, if only those people spent that much time on something important like the cure to cancer or covid.
Who else absolutely adores when they ramble about these thought provoking topics over just random shit, cause I love this shit

Rated 5 Stars on CZcams : I love how when I started listening to the podcast around the time of the poland story, I was like "hey I kinda relate to mason" now, 130 episodes later, I'm like "holy shit I relate to mason, get me therapy now.
I'm so glad I was a teen around the edgy era of CZcams (2014-2016), Filthy Frank, iDubbbz, H3H3, Leafy etc. There is a reason why that stuff wouldn't surface today, largely due to the "cancel culture", as well as CZcams's strict community and monitisation guidelines. It's sad really.

ive been watching about an episode a day for the past 3 weeks now and idk why but them talking about random things just calms me down. on the bus to college or cleaning the bathroom im just listening to these episodes and its just such a good escape.

Me and my brother (who is 2 years older than me) were given a computer when I was 6 and a TV soon after (both of these in our room). After that I barely got any attention from my parents any more. I was just constantly either playing on the PC or watching TV.
Now at 28 I have anxiety, depression, no self esteem or confidence, am the most socially awkward person I've ever met, never been in a relationship, find it hard to cope with life. And still I just spend basically all of my free time at the computer despite not even enjoying it that much any more because it's the only thing I'm comfortable doing and I find it really hard to handle discomfort. I really wish my parents had actually raised me and showed me love and affection. I feel like I could be so much better off.

I turn 20 this year, I know deep down that it is time for me to start growing up, but at the same time it’s really really hard. Going through my university classes online just starting out and dealing with like depression and anxiety I need that dopamine, I need to indulge in something that will occupy my mind and keep me at least sane. Obviously there’s better way to do it but it’s very difficult like I said, being broke and working a terrible 9-5 job while doing school, my two saviours are funnily enough marijuana and CZcams/video games. Being able to laugh at some videos and follow the lifestyles of the people I indulge myself in watching, it makes me happier in a way, I’ve never been coddled, always been humble and know how to socialize and I know how the world works. For some it’s a bad spiral that’ll keep them from fulfilling their lives, others like myself just use it to kinda say “fuck off” to the shit and stress we deal with. It sucks, it hurts a lot at times knowing that I could be in yours guys’ position but instead I’m working toward a major/degree I’m not even sure about yet and watching you guys live a fun but hectic life
Do people mainly listen to the podcast on Spotify now? Cause views have dropped lately, I have Apple Music and don’t use Spotify but have CZcams premium

47:26 not even a joke though. A lot of countries have become or are becoming surveillance states. Scotland criminalizing offensive jokes, even in your own home, is thought and speech policing, as is this cancel culture. It's obviously not as extreme as 1984, but I see the pendulum swinging ever closer to it.
Don’t ever think that your not helping anyone guys because I’m gonna try and actually see if I can help myself and not whip out my phone if I’m in a social setting and not have an urge for dopamine.

The stuff about getting kicked out of social groups for basic disagreements and different views really hit hard with me. I got kicked out of a friend group I was in for 2 years because I said jokes about 9/11 and slurs could be done well by a skilled comedian I didn’t even make the jokes either.
