    Keane's right. Ireland got a jammy penalty against Georgia in the qualifiers which changed the game but no one was decrying the integrity of football then. These decisions balance themselves out.

    The fact is though that 'poor defending' isn't against the rules of the game. Handball is. If Henry didn't cheat and handball then there would have been no poor defending because the ball simply would have sailed out for a goal kick. So there would have been no need to defend it at all. As an Irishman Roy's anger and frustration should have went towards Henry and the referee, nothing else.

    Well said Roy Keane....I heard the same shit after the Ireland defeat against New Zealand in the rugby this year.......Ireland need to step up and with a bit of luck Roy Keane and Martin O'Neill are a new era.....

  • @ClarkeForPresident
    @ClarkeForPresident Před 11 lety +1

    So because Ireland didn't clear the ball Henry was entitled to use his hands, is that what Roy is trying to say?

  • @DJbeefnuts
    @DJbeefnuts Před 11 lety +1

    What He's trying to say is that the team should never have allowed the French even the oppertunity to even cheat- always expecting the unexpected and shutting it down was one of Roys great strengths as a midfielder

    strip everything down and just listen to what roy says about goal. when malouda put the ball in the box the first thing i shouted was dont let ball bounce. it ended up in the net and i went ballistic at shit defending. it wasnt until third view henry handball becomes obvious. of course the emphasis changes then but you still cant get away from the fact the ball shud not bouce and mcshane shud not let henry around the back of him. plus the only weakness to given game is he dont come off his line

    Roy Keane bitter, yes at the treatment the FAI have given the players. I am a City fan and I love Keano, great player. The FAI are a disgrace in the way they treated their players while the FAI members were travelling first class. The players get you to tournaments not the committee members. The FAI used the tournaments as a knees-up and thats what annoyed Keano. Remember Roy saw how a club should handle players at United under Fergie, and thats what he wanted from the FAI and they failed.

    Keane is mad as a brush but he's right. In the first game we allowed the French do what they liked. If Keane himself was playing that wouldn't have happened. Henry or Anelka would have been crunched inside the first minute to set the tone. In the second game we dominated start to finish and didn't take the chances. Keane (robbie) and Duff through one on one with keeper but they lacked conviction. McShane (worst player ever to represent us) watched the ball all the way and did FUCK ALL about it.
