White culture is the native culture of America, after we got rid of the Indians. Why should we have to conform to another nationality's culture? We shouldn't. Now all immigrants come here for are the free benefits Obama is handing out, and rarely do they work to get an education and a real job. Nowadays, immigrants try to change American culture to make it more like their own because they don't like ours. I'm not going to accept that. It's not racist when people say Africa is black people's homeland, it's not racist when people say that Mexico and Latin America are the homes of Latinos, so why is it racist when people say that America is the home of white people when it is? Danny Ray Barnes A woman did write the song used in the Coke commercial. It was "America the Beautiful", not the "Star-Spangled Banner". I never realized how many Americans were confused about this.

It's interesting to note that the woman who wrote the lyrics to the song 'America The Beautiful' (Samuel A. Ward wrote the music) left the Republican Party because of what she perceived as it's growing xenophobia. I think it's clear that she would have cared very much and would have even supported the spirit of the commercial.

your comment on the civil war made me think, you must have no understanding of American history. yes, you are right no Mexicans fought in the war, but i dont see you complaining about the Irish foreigners fighting in the war. Irish peasants fought on both sides, promised freedom and American citizenship, as well as African slaves, who weren't considered American. If you think about it non of us are Americans, we are all immigrants. the commercial was supposed to represent that America is a country full of cultural diversity, and is accepting of people of all creeds and ethnicity, but people like you are the ones who not only don't understand their own country and what it stands for, but give America it's bad rep in the world.

They were not singing the national anthem, it's a song called America the Beautiful. Also, a language does not establish nationalism, its just a component of a culture. In the US there is no defined culture since many different people with different cultures reside here. Finally, every person, including yourself and family, in this country (except native americans) is a descendent of an immigrant whose English was not their first language.
However, what is most disturbing of your video, is your disgrace and sordid behavior of a simple commercial that portrays diversity in a country that clearly is very diverse. I don't think you know this but diversity is good thing within a group since many different ideas can merge and possibly create solutions to issues. You should not feel anything negative about this commercial, on the contrary you should feel proud that different, American, people live among you.

Actually allow me to correct myself, your grandfather was on neither side because there was no way your grandfather fought in the Civil War. It was more than likely your great great great grandfather that fought in the civil war on the losing side since the Civil War was fought back in 1861 to 1865.
