  • This video specifically goes over my 8000 W Hi-Power Cycles Revolution but the method is the same regardless of how much power your system is pushing. Let me know if you'd like me to clarify anything in this video.
    I'm using the Cycle Analyst V3.14 in this video. The pervious Cycle Analyst V2.4 can be navigated the same way and has no "folders" inside the settings.
    Here's a list of amp settings depending on your setup.
    2kw with a 52v battery: 40a
    3kw with a 63v battery: 50a
    4kw with a 74v battery: 55a
    5kw with an 86v battery: 60a
    6kw with an 86v battery: 65a
    7kw with an 86v battery: 80a
    8kw with an 86v battery: 90a
    I personally lower the amp limit by about 5a from the max threshold for reliability.

    Funny. My CA3 was already unlimited from the factory. Speed limit was set to 199 mph, 99.9 amps, and 1,000 watts even though it came with a 500-watt conversion kit.

      Most controllers have built in limitations regardless of the cycle analyst’s setting.

    Very clear instructions, nice work... now go 90mph🤪

      I’ve almost hit 70mph. These new motors are no joke.

    Can you run this through most VESC's?

    Is there a way to set CAv3 to show speed data from the controller instead of the magnetic sensors checking the wheel rpm?

    • @ErikKibbee
      @ErikKibbee  Před rokem

      I don’t believe there is, you can get a CA that has an external speed sensor though.

    I couldn't make the cycle analyst to read the voltage always showing 42 volts

    • @ErikKibbee
      @ErikKibbee  Před 2 lety

      On the main screen it should show whatever voltage the battery is currently at and has nothing to do with the programming. If yours is showing 42 V I would assume you have a fully charged 36 V battery?

    8000W? OMG. You could compete with SpaceX's quest to reach Mars with so much power....

    Can we use this on most any bike ?

    • @ErikKibbee

      You need to have a controller that Is compatible with the right connection for it to work.

    Hey! I set my speed limit to 90 and it defaults to 65. Am I doing something wrong? Don't get me 65 is plenty hahaha

      If you’re Cycle Analysis’ software won’t let you change that setting you can try updating it.
      Or
      You can trick the Cycle Analyst into thinking it’s going slower than it is by editing the wheel size to be smaller.
      Half the wheel size will make the system think it’s going half the distance each revolution.

    how did you mount the CA like that

    • @ErikKibbee
      @ErikKibbee  Před 2 lety

      I work for Hi-Power Cycles and they sell a steerer tube mount for like $15.
