I’m curious why nobody is making a 2 speed skid/adapter kit for the fms scalers. That being said, it’s It’s nice to see a chassis for FCX24. More shock tuning is nice.
you mean a skid for the 2speed tranny that would fit their 1/18th trucks? if yes, i find it just as baffling. even more baffling i find that literally nobody even tried to make a motor mount for anything bigger than the stock 050 motor (which is easily the weakest point, by far, of their trucks)
@@praetor47 yeah. Seen a bunch of people swapping the fcx2 speed/ portals into the fms 1/18 scale trucks. Hell they could even make a chassis as well. They all use the same frame rails, just in varying lengths.
Hey, thanks for the video. It made me realize that "Nexx Racing" and "Nexxspeed" were two DIFFERENT companies and I was missing out on some options for my rig. I'm having a problem with my Furitek Hiroyama . It came with Furitek's Galaxy servo mounted on the stock mount, so it sits at a stressed angle. The gear housing of the servo actually broke under mild (for a monster truck) use, but, while furitek is sending me a new one, they do not have a solution to the mounting issue and claim "it has not been a problem for others". If you have a long servo like the galaxy that has ONE set of mounting holes (unlike the servo used in this video which has two sets) is there any way you could check and see if this nexxspeed mount allows it to clear the upper links? I can't find any info on it anywhere else, and I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again for the great video.
unfortunately I do not have a Galaxy Servo from @furitek. However, it should fit although, you might have to drill new mounting holes in the servo ears. (which really isn't too big of a deal)
@@TheShopMiniRC Thanks for the reply. The problem is that the galaxy servo I got with my hiroyama broke because it was mounted on the stock mount at and odd angle. They're sending a new one, but I'm extremely hesitant to drill holes in it. I'm working on a 3d printed solution, but I'd much rather a nice product like the nexx if I knew it would work. Thanks for trying to help.
I just purchased FMS masher. Does it hold up well to general bashing with stock motor without spending a fortune on unneeded upgrades like steel trans gears etc? Thanks and cool build👍
@@kevincasey6876 hmm. I’ll look at it. The problem was the axles and links though, that was causing the driveshaft to point too far down. Changing the c-hubs wouldn’t fix that. But I’ll give it a look for sure. ;)
It doesn’t look like the links bolt to the C hub , And I’m sure Nexx knows how to measure links to copy them Notice on the axle side of the C hub there is a star pattern . That pattern is clocked slightly .

Yeah and plus the skid plate is flat ain’t got that tunnel running through it 👍👍😁
yep
Nexxspeed great product
Looks great Appreciate you sharing as always
Thanks so much for watchin!!!
Super cool too bad they didn’t make those brackets black well black sharpie time Yep I’m here watching 👍👍😎
Thanks!
I used longer screws to get 1 inch tyres on. Bigger gap. Slowly pull em in. Replace as you go with standard screws👍🤠👍
That makes sense!!! I knew there was an easier way.
Thanks for all, bro
Any time!
The crazy part is I just ordered this chassis yesterday. I was searching for videos and reviews of it before I bought it but there were none.
Hey I seen you on the FB group
@@maxwell5428 Yup
Sorry. We got it up as fast as we could.
Super new chassis that's why
@@TheShopMiniRC No complaints. You’re the first showing of this chassis.
You should get a 3D printed fifth wheel hitch and throw that on there I've never seen anybody do that before
That would be dope!!! Wish I printed.

The FCX24 uses a 130 size motor.
Fcx118 finally came though.
Swap the aluminum c hub screw to the back,it increases steering at full throw !!
I know. I talked about it in the video. You can’t really because of how the screw is threaded.

Yeah Phillips screw for the servo I hate that also
right? why is it so hard to get a hex there?

Yep, it’s a blast you really don’t need all the upgrades unless you upgrade the motor.
them rims and bed is super cool man i like it. you like the fms better then the scx24 ? i been debating getting one
They both have their positives and negatives. If you don’t have an fcx yet, definitely worth getting one.
I love those wheels, I can’t find them, or the link to them, does anybody know the name of them?
They are linked in the video description. ;-)
Can you swap sides with the c hub so the screw is in the back ?
I think that will mess up the caster angle.
Maybe it will correct the caster problem you ended up with ?
