Erik, you do a great job of selecting the music for each episode.
Yeah this do be some saucy musica
Great job on volume and fade, too.
What's the name and where can I get that music?
oh hell yeaah!
Music was spot on!
Spray painted with a can next to cars as the breeze just adds a nice flake effect to the trucks.
If your work truck doesn't have random stray paint streaks all over it, is it really a work truck? 🤔🤷♂️
@@wewd absolutely not,
Jamie is a great carpenter with an endless book if “tricks” and the iron working skills are coming along. Nice looking welds for making arch metal!
Sunday night edutainment quality time guaranteed.
Hats off to the Perkins Cleaner Brothers!
Working with a fun group is always +++++++ 900 points for your crew Perkins Brothers . . .they ALL rock
Getting closer to wrapping it up! Can't wait for the final reveal.
the work, the lads, the music, the vids, the tips, are better and better every vid. Nice job you all! :)
I love to see the finished house, but sad to see it come to an end, great build guys, those up stairs balconies with the timber top and iron slates are sweet looking Jaime.
I haven't watched in a while but I'm loving the different music on this vid.
Ray is the employee we all want, Jay is the employee we all need!
That's so good that you guys are almost finished.... Congratulations
Jason is what I call a "sore winner".
Nice work High quality control.
I really enjoyed the Latina Music during the cleaning montage!
Getting off a site is a skill lots of builders just don’t have. Leave it clean and the customer wil remember.
Looking awesome! Can't wait to see the final tour!
Hanging shelves is one of my nightmares.
Jamie, drag your screw bits across a strong magnet. They will be slightly magnetized and hold the screw much better when your other hand is not free to support. I keep a magnet stuck on the inside of my truck bed for just this purpose.
Also, ever consider TIG welding when appearance matters? I really like the metal hand rails.
Jamie and Iron, a good Combination for the Railing building. By the last shingle Roof give it a Discussion. It is to note the Final from the Hous building is to come in the next time. The Video however very good.
Great music selection, especially at 13:41
The Latin music at the end was great
the welding section of the vid was a superb intro ... and wish some of that would be more in depth on the Building Knowledge Channel toooo. Great music. Hope you guys are going to have a fantastic week on the new projects
I can finally watch your videos again after basic training and AIT!
Great job guys. Always great info.
Doing great works man. But you help me at night when i am trying to sleep.👍👍
Who in the h*ll says that wooden houses is rotting? Here in Sweden we have wooden buildings that are well over 800 years old. And we have a really harsh climate. As long as you care for your maintenance there are no issues to build wooden houses. We have started constructing bigger residential and office buildings in LVL wood as well. Thank you for the fun and inspirational videos.
Great advice on roof shingles. Did not know that.
It's always a pleasure to watch Jason work ...
It's nice watching someone else doing the work for a change. lol
Regarding the placement of the kitchen next to the portopotty, my grandma always used to say, "Don't eat where you poop!" Next time, don't put the kitchen next to the poopatorium!
Love the welding closeup shots.
Looking really good 👍
Great job boy's. Can't wait on your next job. Learning a lot from Jamie, Eric, & Arlo. I made my own tool shed and a hay barn.
How fast can we all say two toobes of Lexel a million times lol. Hey Eric I think the boys may be spraying lexel on your handkerchief's 😂🤣😂
another great episode, thank you
Loving the mustache dude! haha its getting bigger and bigger with each episode!
Love your work 👍
Music was great! It added a little extra to this episode! 😁
Nice Stumpjumper.
very smart roof repair by jaime!
😀more guys more.. love it 🎉
Wonderful work again fellas its all looking sharp and its great that you are on the finishing straight goo luck
I love how Spanish music started playing as soon as the roof starting going up 😂💀
House looks good 👍🏿
Erick must have watched Top Gun over the weekend!
A lot of porosity in the welds. Check your gas flow rate, clean the base metal, and check the tip set back. It could even be a strong outside breeze.
Not sure what code your area works by, but out west we use IRC, which mandates a minimum of an 18"x24" crawl space access. All our crawl space foundations are built using poured-in-place concrete stem walls, not block, so if the crawl access is to be accessible from the exterior of the building, the forms for the stem walls have to be blocked out and have rebar reinforcing at top, sides, bottom, and corners, which is a real PITA for the concrete folks to both form and then pour. Having the crawl access accessible from the exterior of the building also represents an additional security risk, as folks can gain access to the inside of the building from the outside, via the crawl access and cutting a hole in the floor. For both pain of forming/pouring and security concerns, most buildings have crawl space accesses located inside the envelope, usually in the floor of an front door entry/foyer coat closet or, in the case of an attached garage, in the mud/utility room coat closet where entry from the garage to the house happens. In both cases, it prevents workers in the crawl space from needing to drag materials/tools thru the building, thus limiting the potential for damage to floors/walls, as well as creating walking paths of dust/dirt thru the building as they go about their repairs. Having an indoor crawl space access also resolves a lot of security concerns, as well as being super easy/fast/inexpensive to frame into the floor system. The biggest downside is that most of what a worker would need to use the crawl space for is located a ways away from either the front door or the man door from garage to house, but that could be equally true of an exterior crawl space access.
Now I sound like Jamie, going into more detail that absolutely necessary, hahaha.
The Mexican background music was awesome.
It’s SOOO nice to see a bunch of good looking well hung gentlemen, doing such fantastic work top notch all around boys!!
Go get ya sum, Garth!
@@saltybr I’m all set sir
Jason's skilled trade is nut holder
Woo hoo!
So Eric decided to audition for Super Troopers 3? Wat-a-tache.
Loved the Latin music!
I have a miller 211 and its an amazing welder for the average car guy or hobbyist learning fabricating... I would say grind a bit of a bevel on the edges for the weld to lay in (less grinding) and do cursive e between the two pieces your fusing together. Gas flow too high or low (I believe my regulator is set and 25-28 psi) and wind blowing you gas away is why you got porosity in your weld. Practice makes perfect and yall are perfect at building houses. I LOVE THE CONTENT THO and his welds are structurally great... lol the weld seam facing up was bothering me while installing that railing too
Thank you.
I cracked up laughing at the doorknob in jaimes truck 🤣 I've definitely done that before
It looks like next project will be here soon!
You can absolutely cut aluminum just like wood. For the best blade life cut with an triple chip grind on your blade though.
They make corner chisels ya know. For curved or sharp corners in your hinge chases.
in response to Jaimie, polyurethane is the kind of paint they use to paint airplanes, like big jets boeing 747's and such, doesnt get much more outdoor than that. I know a guy who works in a shop where they maintain and repair these jets between flights and he took some of that leftover paint home and painted his honda civic with it
Is that the Dewalt drill you tossed in the mud last week? 🤣
Love the railings Jamie. Incorporating a little metal into any project gives a nice contrast.
was that Jason's Dewalt that was in the mud the other episode? 🤣🤣
Jaimie that’s some good welding cobber I’m proud of you house is looking smick. ,,,….Not long now and you are done ,,New project next can’t wait take care best wishes 💪💪👍👍❤️🥮🧁🍰🦘🦘🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Blinded by the welds
FYI, for the siding, ya'll missed a few places.
You guys are true professional so beautiful
"top left.....i don't have a nut on any of these" 😂😂😂 you owe me a new tablet Jay because I've just spit my tea at mine 😂😂😂
I like your videos so much that I'm think of buying a piece of land over there give you guys a call and have my house built.
I'm here!
Aquí presente señores
Ecxelente día un saludo desde cd Juárez Chihuahua México
I love the mustache
Yeah the make crawl space doors to lay with the block work, but they are steel and rust. I like yours better
Nice
Did you guys notice they started playing Spanish music when they where doing the roof.
finishing up - this was a decent job for you all #it's not coca cola it's dirty rice
Since it’s his in-laws, Jaime just caulked the s*** out of the shingles 😂
The Latin music made me think I was watching an episode of Burn Notice set down in Miami.
keeps making that mustache grow strong....lmao
Yes, Jamie installing a hand railing is like landing on the Moon (sarcasm). I am an office worker and had to, yesterday. Go up and investigate why I had standing water in my sunroom, which has a flat roof. I am a fat F.ck and had to go on a ladder. It was 3 meters, like 9 feet. I was scared sh.ltess. But, I solved the problem with a complex maneuver by removing the blockage in the drain. Seeing you guys on ladders impresses me because they scare the sh.it of me.
Now that you are going to be getting back to the kitchen renovation I wanted to ask about the old brick support pillars that held up the old deck. In a previous video you jacked up the deck to level it and when the weight of the deck came off the pillars the pillars swayed back and forth quite easily which would suggest that the pillars might just be resting on top of shallow concrete pads.
What is anchoring the bases of those pillars to the ground? If there are just shallow concrete pads under the pillars is that sufficient to stabilize the pillars and also support the added weight of the brand new addition?
Can you talk about what you drilled into for the rebar for the floating shelves? Did you just drill a hole into the framing behind the drywall? Is there nothing that attaches the shelf from sliding off?
Easy to work with such a long screwbit on the drill LOL
Like the salsa boss 👍 🇲🇽💃🕺
No way
I like cabin house...👍
13:00 Oh my Lord!! Delta in BRONZE!! Yes sweet Jesus please! And high arch neck to boot?!? I’m in love 😍 My new home I asked for all bronze. Then I find out they don’t do plumbing in bronze. What???😲
Fist week - change ‘em out baby! Any body want nickel plumbing fixtures? Good prices!!
Looks like keeps is working good on Eric's upper lip.
me gusta. i love the music today.
cardinal cafe'.
Next time you guys do free floating doors such as your crawl space door use heavy duty magnets. Build the magnet into the blocks and glue the other end on the door.
Have a channel on the top and bottom. The top channel is at least twice and deep as the bottom. Slide the panel into the top channel til it clears the bottom channel then drop it into place.
You putting so much detail in every part !
But your can sprayed rails won't hold the paint very long without a good primer and several layers.
Those rails should be powder coated.
Whoop!!
Jamie made some cool running boards for his truck, lol
Any update on that huge plot of land you bought a few months ago to develop?
That welding at the beginning was FASCINATING to watch. Thank you for taking the time to get those shots!
The 4 pm start time on the last part of the project usually means a trip to buy material that I cut backwards or short or…..
Did you guys ever address that really wonky window? Is that why that one portion doesn't have siding?
@Jaime Perkins, what screws do you guys use for the times when you install vinyl soffit? If you've ever seen what they call a soffit screw, it's like a 1-1/2" truss head screw. I personally use painted (white) head 3/4" or 1" stainless shutter screws.
Question: does the crawlspace ever get water inside from rain or snow? If so, will it be okay?
I dig the Mexican music 🤙🏼
