One of her kids this year has crush on her (6 year old to an adult). When Spring break was about to happen she told her class how much she'll miss them, and he said "but I'll miss you the most." He said that with a smile on his face, and hugged her leg.

I've had girls come for me all my life flirting but I only did it twice. Just not my thing. I do like boobs though lol but I'm gay as can get. Dude straight men do low-key come for us on the DL just to do something different. Nothing is funnier than a straight guy seeing another guy's dick in person for the first time. I had my first awesome "things said in classrooms" moment the other week 😆 A student was amazed to learn that technically, males can produce milk. He asked me if I was true, and i was like, "well, technically yes, but it would take a lot of science & hormones" but he took the idea and ran with it. He pinched himself, thinking he would start making milk. I had to tell them no, that's not how it works, even for women. He thought that we could just make milk on demand! And why did he want to produce milk so bad? So he and his family wouldn't have to buy milk! He wanted to just make the milk for his family to drink! Because apparently he also thought that humans could just make GALLONS of milk with our bodies!!!

One time there was a teacher (before I came to this school) who was super mean to kids. No one was safe from her, not even her favorite kids. Like she hated kids. so collectively my whole grade drove her out of the district. They would be super loud in her class, move her papers, lock her outta class. She now lives in Alaska. Ok, so I too am guilty of this but under the same premise. This lady was just awful to students. She made my friend Becca take her jacket off (from around her waist) and stand in the corner with her monthly "show" to shame her into never making a "mess" in her classroom again. This is just one of the stories... She also called Roger "Space cadet, stupid and yelled "Earth to Roger" when he wasn't paying attention. Roger had a horrible home life and usually he was upset or just too depressed/anxious to deal with classes on some days.
So, that Spring I was working after school at my father's store and discovered the answer to my trapper keeper falling apart a lovely tube of Bondini 2000 (superglue). I took it to school by accident the next day and noticed it mixed in with my pens during 3rd period. In 4th period we hatched a plan while she went to the teachers lounge and superglued everything to her desk. Pens, paper, pencils, glued her drawers shut... everything. Then I saw them... her dusty rose pink shoes. She walked around the school barefoot most of the day and there they were tucked under her desk. So, I glued them to the underside of her desk at the very very back.
When she returned she didn't notice things at first but when she tried to open her drawer she thought it was jammed. Thus her dawning of what was really up when she tried to move things on her desk to tilt and dislodge what was holding the drawer shut. When she realized oh she was mad as a hornet. Then she noticed her shoes were missing.
Out of a class of 31 students not a single person gave in to her threats and we all kept silent even through 2 days of ISS.
Two months later Mrs. C dropped something and when she looked up catty corner to her room she caught a glimpse of her pink shoe underneath the desk. She started laughing, she calls over Mr B and he starts chuckling then Mr H came over and all three are howling inside. 4 rooms connected in center divided by rows of lockers... So each center corner had the abilty of seeing into 4 rooms.
I am not sure if they ever told her about her shoes but when I returned for 8th grade the following year we were informed Mrs. J had retired.
I feel bad, sorta but feel I did the entire classes of 95 - 200? the biggest favor of getting her out. Mr H, he was our favorite. At the end of the year we all found as many arrowheads as we could and each dropped at least two on his desk at the end of the year to add to his collection!
6 years later I ran into Mrs C when she was shopping at the grocery store and she asked me who it was... she of course thinking it was Roger or Kevin. When I fessed up she said, "I cannot believe you did that! I must admit though, we all hated her as much as you kids did!" Come to find out she tried to get a teacher fired so one of her friends could take his job.

Confession time!!! I went to a very small church school from pre-3 to 9th, and my class of 15 had all been together since pre-3. We were extremely close and extremely mischievous. Because the school was so small, we had most of the same teachers every year, so we developed close relationships with our teachers. This meant we felt some sort of twisted loyalty to them, so whenever we had a sub, our united mission as a class was to be as irritating as possible without actually being disruptive. In 5th, we started the practice of name-swapping if we had a sub. That was fun for a while, but we got bored with it pretty quickly. Did we sit back and go “eh, we had a good run! Maybe this has run its course!”? No, no we did not. We enlisted the help of the 6th graders, and we started just trading places with them. We caused so much chaos. We were so proud. Honestly… still kind of proud of how devious we were. Some of those subs were legit creepy. Like I said, small church school, so the subs were usually just community volunteers 😬

For your sake, have a 2nd career in mind you can fall back on, because alot of new teachers enter teaching with "stars in their eyes" and find out too late that sometimes it's more like a pie in the face......fact.

Nicotine addiction is one of the worse ones out there and so common.

My daughter and 2 other girls were caught bullying another student in pre-k. It was a Friday. When the teachers aid pulled me aside (effing masters, MASTERS in early childhood development) and told me what happened. I talked with a client of mine that has a PhD in child psychology to ask what to do. It was a full weekend extravaganza of the whole family involved to lovingly teach, with a spoonful of fear, bullying is never okay. I called the mom of the girl my daughter bullied, and profusely apologized and asked the mom if she was okay if my daughter apologized to her, and if she felt it was okay, to apologize to her daughter. My daughter apologized to both mother and daughter. We ended up meeting at a park to have a hug and play date. They were friends until we moved away. My daughter went on to be the elementary schools number 1 student mediator. The other 2 moms told the teacher that she was lying and their child would never bully anyone. What??? As a mom, kids can be cruel and mean.

Love you guys!!! I started babysitting at 12 & worked at a daycare, kids photo studio, summer camp and nannied when I was in college. Everyone thought I was going to college to work with kids... Nope drafting!!! Would have loved to have gone into teaching, love working with kids BUT I was like how can you be a teacher & when these parents don't discipline their kids! And you as a teacher get introuble when you do! This was over 10 years ago!!! And seems like these issues have just become crazier!!!
Keep doing what you all are doing!!!

Listening to the story about that kid and the north and south korea thing, I remember (being a sophomore in jigh school at the time.) one kid in my Englisb class out of nowhere, says, "wait...Cincinnati isn't a state??" like- boy-. I know you didn't just say that being a SOPHOMORE in highschool- I sometimes wonder how some kids end up being able to move up to the next grade level. But either way, I feel like sometimes we all have some pretty uh- dumb moments. And another thing is: so my orchestra teacher mentioned something about us making up a new name for each of our orchestra groups (I'm currently in both our school's Concert and Chamber orchestras) and one of the girls (in the Viola section (I'm also a Violist) goes "we should call it the 'Beast Orchestra'-" like- wha- no- just- no-

We didn't worry about toilet paper. My dad started buying family packs since the Y2K scare(people were buying can goods, dad was getting TP, because no one would ever think about that until it's too late.) Every month since, he'd get a 12 count or more. He didn't buy any TP for almost the entire 2020 due to the shortage and still had tons. We helped a few people out as needed. However, now the rush is over, he went back to buying more. Mad genius.

My grandmother was a teacher at Acton-Boxboro High School in Massachusetts in the late 1960s to early 1970s. She taught English, French, Spanish, and Latin. Her fifth period class always came to class late, and naturally she was curious why this was happening. She asked where they were coming from and it turned out there previous class was in the classroom directly above hers. This raises a massive red flag and asks why they didn’t use the stairwell close by. It turns out the seniors occupied this stairwell and only seniors were allowed to use it. Grandma tells them she’ll meet them at the bottom of the stairs the next day. Next day rolls around and she is waiting at the bottom of the stairs, she hears someone say “Seniors only” and she says “Oh really.” The seniors freeze because no one dared to mess with her, and from that day on her fifth period class was always on time.

The school I graduated from has 7-12 in one building. The seventh grade hallway is close to the school cafeteria, therefore the closest bathroom for these kids through most of their day was the cafeteria bathrooms. During my Sophomore year, I noticed they kept opening and closing the bathrooms, and I finally asked one of the teachers why. For weeks, every time the bathrooms would open back up, these seventh graders were smearing their own poop all over the bathrooms, and nobody could figure out who was doing it, but they knew it had to be a seventh grader because those are the kids closest to those bathrooms at all times, and it would always happen before lunch period.
My little brother's friend happened to be passing by on his way to class when he decides to use the bathroom, and caught the students in the act. I genuinely thought my brother was pranking me when he said that his friend caught them, UNTIL HE SHOWED ME THE PHOTO HE TOOK TO ADMIN TO PROVE IT.

My former school had a 'phantom pooper'. He or she would always drop a dookie five minutes before class got out! And if he or she was mad, they would intentionally smear it in the hallway 🤢

Love hearing the stories you all share. Would also like to hear discussion on what you think can be done to improve some situations. Even if you don't have the solutions or answers, I'd be interested to hear what thoughts you have on how to make schools/education/administration better. Teacher perspective on the current state of the educational system is essential. You all know the kids, you know admin, you know the challenges - your ideas matter. Would also like to hear success stories - that one disengaged kid that came around, a learning obstacle that the child overcame. Maybe stories on how you "won" in an interaction with admin.

I just found you guys and I'm loving your stories. When you started talking about poo stories, you reminded me about how in 4th grade we were no longer allowed to go to the bathroom on our own.
We had to go as a class every. single. time. It used to be that a kid at recess, or at lunch was able to just go to the bathroom, but SOMEBODY thought it would be funny to smear poo all over the walls of the bathrooms. We don't know if it was a boy, a girl, or both that did this because it was all over the walls, floors, doors, sinks, and pretty much everywhere but the ceiling in both the boys and girls bathroom. We never found out who did it.
