    S3 Power sports has some great after market designed parts. I installed a set of +2" trailing arms about 6 months ago. I had the same bearing issue as you did. I had a .013 interference on one side and a .011 on the other side. (you should have a .0015 - .0025) There was no way I was going to press in new bearings. I'm a mechanic / machinist, and have access to a machine shop. I took care of the issue myself. I removed the old bearings and checked them. There was a .004 interference from factory. (really tight) Now I got room for the 31x8.5x14 EFX Motohavoks. And then I said "what the hell" so I did the front A Arms too. (install on Minnesota XMR) Keep making the videos. Glad I found this. Its the only how to replace rear tailing arms video on the internet! (That I could find without a forensics team anyway) Shout out from Minnesota!

    It's a good rule of thumb to press on the outer race when installing new bearings to prevent damage.
    Your videos are very fun to watch keep up the great content!

    just got my 2022 outlander 850 xmr and am looking to get extended arms to clear 32s, was curious as to how they are holding up and what the cons to them are if any

    • @LetDirtFly
      @LetDirtFly  Před 2 lety +1

      So far they're holding up great! I currently have 32" Motohavoks and they clear no problem in the rear. I still need to do the forward front A-arms. The only cons I can think of is that they weigh more then the stock arms. Probably a good 10 lbs each more. The other con was during the install, the wheel bearings were a pain to press in. Id definitely recommend honing out where the bearing goes slightly so the install will go much smoother.

    Did you measure it before and after you fitted them… Im curious to see if it did give it a 2” lift

    • @LetDirtFly
      @LetDirtFly  Před 11 měsíci

      It’s not a lift this is a stretch. The ride height stays the same. For a 2” lift we recommend Perfex Industries. You can use our code “Letdirtfly10” to save 10%

    You don’t have to remove trailing arms to replace axles. Remove shock, sway bay and drop down all the way and should come out from hub.

    • @LetDirtFly
      @LetDirtFly  Před 2 lety +1

      I’ve only been able to do that on gen 1 can ams. I tried that before on my G2 and there’s still 3” of axle in the bearing when fully dropped out with everything disconnected. I’m not sure if it makes a difference but 2020 and newer have longer axles also. At that point it’s only the extra through rod bolt to take out to get the axle out.

      I hear you. Problem is, when you’re filming by yourself and start struggling with something, it’s hard to film, struggle, etc all at once. I didn’t really struggle. The bearing socket was out of round which was the problem that caused my “struggle”. The rest of the arm did in fact go in smoothly. Funny enough I’m actually changing the upper bearings as well as the wheel bearings as we speak.
