  • Some thoughts on Bethesda and some under-discussed happenings at Fromsoft that are think have some disappointing similarities.

Didn't most of from software games had development issues? They had to cut the 6th Archstone from Demon's Souls, The Dark Souls 's second half was left unfinished, DS2 was in development hell and the publisher forced the studio to release it on past gen consoles instead of the next-gen like it was originally intended, DS3 was also heavily altered from it's initial prototype. Elden Ring , Sekiro and AC6 are the only games that didn't have a lot of cut content or were significantly changed during development as far as I know. So it seems like FS is doing better these days than before.

I agree with most of what you said, but the video was more about what could effect future games, or games in active development, not recent ones like Sekiro. That being said I wouldn't be so sure about AC6. I'd be surprised if that game took 7 years to make, possibly the longest development for a fromsoftware game, without any problems or changes. That's just too long for a smooth development of a mission-based mech game. It just came out, so we probably won't know about any for a few months at least.
