There is nothing better then firing up the grill on a mellow summer evening and spending time with the family. Many evenings are spent enjoying a backyard barbeque.
In honor of those nights we wanted to share with everyone Adam's way of detailing your Barbeque. As grease and char build up on the grill, there becomes a need to clean it and here at Adam's we always like to take it to the next level.
Follow along with Adam as he shows how to thoroughly wash, polish and protect his grill for future grilling. A lot of the surfaces on a grill are the same on a car. That is why Adam's Polishes Premium Car Care Products work perfectly to get the grill back to new.

As someone that is brand new to owning a grill, I appreciate the step by step. We are new homeowners and prior would just use the community grill at our apartment or grill out at our parents. But part of homeownership is getting our own grill lol thus now maintaining said grill. Thank you for your video.

I clay bar'd a 2nd hand Weber Genesis that looked like crap(got it cheap). exactly like he did, make a huge difference basically looked brand new again.

Soap and water does just fine as well as a pressure washer.

I was told that your not suppose to wash your grill with water! Water introduces rust, and when looking at his flavorizer bar i can that its already sitting in....😂🤣😂

This is comedy ! My guy literally cleaned the entire grill inside & out & it still looks the same from when he first started.

If you are going to use pressure cleaning, water, and degreasers,, then you need to grease up every part of your grill after to prevent corrosion. Usually I'll use mechanical grease for the exterior and canola oil for the interior by using the same process as if you were seasoning a pan to develop a nice polymerized non-stick coat. You coat everything with a high burning point oil (sides, top, bottom pan, and grill grates, screws and bolts, etc..), turn the heat up very high, and simply let it do it's job until it stops smoking. That will prolong the life of your gril and make future cleaning easy.
Never just wash with water an chemicals and leave it out to dry. That rust and corrosion will lead to structural failures, and in most cases get into your food. So just be mindful of that.

Next time please take the burners out before cleaning the insides. Makes it so much easier and the water and crud will ruin them. Plus they need to be banged around a little to get the rust out.

Yep. My father-in-law searched for someone to deep clean his Weber Genesis and was told it'll cost him $200 and up! So, as a B-day present, I said I'd clean it for him for free (he has a hard time moving around now). But he's DEFINITELY not getting the "Adam" treatment! 😎

Take out your grill grates and take to the manual car wash 1 time per year. Spend say $4 and you have brand new grates. Though I have stainless steel bars from Weber
Be careful if you have older plain metal grates

Get Adam to come over to your house and clean your BBQ. My wife mentioned to me by placing the grills in a garbage bag and spray with ammonia and leaving it in the hot sun for the day was a great way to clean the grills. My reply shows me, honey, don't tell me.
