Nico Williams is obviously the absolutely perfect choice with his dribbling ability, physicial presence and flexibility. His alleged wage demands will be an issue but you have to imagine that Sonny's new contract will bump him up to near 250k per week and I think it's worth offering Williams something similar considering his relatively low buyout clause and his suitability to our system.
I think Nico Williams is already on much more than that like 300K

I believe Santiago will be sold eventually. After watching the U21 a couple of times I’ve come to the conclusion that he’s not good enough.

Why is no one talking about Mitoma? Great dribbler, fast, decent in the air, helps out defensively. Brighton has struggle this season without him and March. I think we could get him for about 50 mil.

That’s what I’ve been thinking as well. Plus we could bring extra money from Japan too. Remember how much we benefited when we signed Son from his first season. We could build another stadium next to Tottenham Stadium
Interesting to look at the positions and options out there. Surely with Son on the left and he is better there than striker, plus we miss his creativity, anybody coming in is a back up. So it needs to be a young star or back up, so if an older player, surely a value signing, otherwise they will rot on the bench.
Summerville may have homegrown status because he joined Leeds in 2020. We have Son at LW. A young player like Summerville is a good fit for depth.
And i think he would be the perfect style of player for, he could 'Bulk Up' the squad and give us depth and what i have seen of him he has played well when he sits just behind the attackers and runs on to the ball..........The Aussie Spurs Fan.

If Spurs sign the 18 yr old kid, the academy players in that position may as well ask for a transfer. Why sign another young player to block the academy? I just look at Gil and Veliz and think, "What was the point"? If Spurs want to build an academy that produces quality players, they have to give them chances.

@earofvangogh9450 I'm not as convinced. We wasted a year of his development. Sevilla loan has been a disaster. Meanwhile, Lankshear, Scarlett, Parrott, Soonsup-Bell all entering their early 20s. I don't see a long-term plan for any of these players.
If we're honestly looking at someone like Hudson Odoi then we all just need to give up cos we ain't ever gonna progress beyond scrapping over a top four spot

Wrong Question: we don’t need premiere league players. Spurs need to recruit players who can potentially help WIN the league. Only Grealish fits this criteria from your list. The rest would just prevent good young players from developing

Whoever comes in will be players who fit Ange's style and character requirements . So do not see any high value players coming in . Have to remember we only have about £120 million plus any sales to meet FFP / PSR rules . So will be interesting window .
Désiré Doué is really one for the future. This guy is going to be huge. And his brother Guéla is really good at right back.
I feel most of the time we're looking at players who are average or just above average but definitely not top quality players as this lists suggests. I do like Chiesa, he's more kind of a winger-striker hybrid. His dad used to be a striker. Still at a decent age, has bags of experience. I've seen Juve a couple of times this season and he was good but I felt maybe he was shackled by Allegri. In our system where there's more emphasis on attack, he would thrive. Grealish forget it. Most of the others are not that good or at least not yet. Don't we have an academy that just won the league? Why not look there a bit more?
We need young english winger, if we can sell Solomon and get one for 20-30 million, but second winger not 1 choice and only one this summer.

The big worry about Jota for me is his quality, he is a true 'Stanley Mathews' line hugging winger and he would fit into Ange's style of play, but the big worry for me would he handle Premier/Championship football?...........The Aussie Spurs Fan.

Honestly not that bad of a deal tbh. It's as though we have bought him with a guarantee we could move him on for the same money, but I totally get why it seems underwhelming as the first signing.
We're 100% getting more for the front line. If he was the last signing rather than the first signing people wouldn't be nearly as upset.
Come on, lets get Doue, there's a reason so many teams are after him and while I would like him to be a bench/rotation player and not in the starting 11 he would still be rally good if starting. I also like Williams and Kubo but we need to sell players fast to see what our acual budget is
The key to all of this is not just finding players that we like. It's finding a player that wants to come to Spurs. Unfortunately we are in the same market for players that arsenal and man united are and those teams have things that we can't offer at the moment such as higher wages and add to that United just got into the same European competition that we did so there's no relative advantage there anymore either
@@drystack86 Well, I think we can offer more playtime then an Arsenal, I think our project is way more exciting than United's. We have the (possibly) best stadium in the world and we have some of the best training facilities in the world. And we also have Ange who seem to be able to really convince players to sign for us. Just look at Dragusin when Bayern were intrested. The wage thing I get but and I do realise that we are limited in some ways but as Ange has said "We only want players who wanna play for Tottenham, not for Champions league but for us" so I get it but the players who do sign for us will be the players we want, those who fit
@@tano5831 I don't disagree with any of that, been in the stadium numerous times and it's mesmerizing. But to be fair, even with the current situations in context, I don't really ever fancy our chances when us, United, Arsenal etc are after the same players. I do believe Ben is correct in that there are several good attacking players out there and they won't all be signing with Arsenal or United. Let's see what happens and hope for the best. Excited to see what comes.
