- Having grown synonymous with their tiki-taka style of play, Spain have shown another side at Euro 2024.
So why have Spain moved away from their patient, possession-based approach?
Spearheaded by their young attacking wingers, Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams, how likely is it clubs will take advantage of the release clause in Williams' contract with a transfer this summer?
Michael Bailey is joined by The Athletic's Pol Ballus, who's in Germany covering Spain during the Euros as well as our La Liga writer Dermot Corrigan.

Wait so you’re telling me Gareth Southgate isn’t the only one who can organise a team movie night!!?
Tiki-taka in addition to explosive old fashioned wingers who stay wide, isolate and beat their fullbacks and deliver good cutbacks and balls to the back post, is a cheat code tactic.
Man city 17/18
@@miseconor8104 Is that when they had peak Sane and Sterling?
@@StrykezMan09 yep!
The problem with tiki taka is that it’s too defensive in the current game where things have got so much more intense and faster
Fuck U blubbering about
Barca can dream all they want, and Williams may get on brilliantly with their players, but at the moment there's no way they can afford him, and rightly so. Ultimately, they're bound by the same rules as the rest of the league and that includes having their house in order, so maybe they should focus on that as opposed to maxing out the club's credit card on someone they've got no right to consider.
You're talking beyond your knowledge here...
That is wrong information because Barcelona will be on the 1:1 rule until the beginning of next week at most, so it is reported
@@matiasescobar8730 shhh don't explain this muppets, let them think Barça will have a crooked team...
it's back!
Tiki taka been over for spain for 6-8 years. Where have you been!!
Where have YOU been? Pointless possession without scoring has defined Spain for years
Ed Edd n Eddy been off the air for years yo that’s why im confused
Tiki taka gone since 2014 world cup when they got knocked out of it.

No, it's Just tiki-taka-tiki-takaaaaaa
Is over ...now is the pin pan pun
The real question is. Is Lamine Yamal the most overhyped athlete in the history of all sports?
Are you kidding me? Have you heard of Bellingham? That’s the definition of overhyped.
