- The 21st century has given us one of the greatest national teams of all time, in Spain, possibly the greatest club side we've ever seen, in Barcelona, and, arguably, the two greatest footballers of all time, in Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
In this video, following twelve months of work, HITC Sevens takes a look at some of the greatest players since 2000 in every position, from goalkeepers to strikers, the greatest managers, and ultimately a greatest XI & squad from throughout the period.

It's not gonna blow up cause it's 3 hours and people don't have the time for that. Also I expect that the vid is a combination of his series, not a new 3 hr vid
It's not expected this video will blow up for two reasons: it's way too long for causal audiences and the regulars have already watched the standalone videos.

I don't know quite what this says about me as a human being,however,that Oliver kaan story about the charity penalty shootout with the distraught school children is the single most hilarious story in all of football history and simultaneously the most German thing that's ever happened and has subsequently made Oliver my favourite ever footballer,so,er,thanks for that Mr Sevens,nice one,brilliant.
The peak of football will be this, every player will have to be capable of playing every position (bar goal kepper)
And in doing so everyone will be able to rotate and cover any position.

Imo Lahm is the best fullback ever played the game because he just shut down everyone he played against. His most impressive stats are he never received a red card in his career and played a whole season without booking even a single foul. 🤯
There's was no player who could beat him in a isolated 1on1 situation. Just magnificent defending out of this world.

Me clicking onto Alfie's linktree to check if I was already subscribed to his personal CZcams (I was) and finding out he has a finance channel has really rocked my perspective on these videos. Does. Does Alfie have other interests/hobbies other than football??? How dare he.
I do think Arturo Vidal had a real shout to be in a list. His trophy cabinet is ridiculous and he was super effective both with and without the ball for at least ten seasons.. he also won a trophy with Chile which is not exactly easy.

I love and tend to agree with most everything with this Channel..but Dani Carvajal not being minimum a top 2 right back is criminal. He’s been a starter and made an impact on FIVE Champions League winning Real Madrid squads and finals. And given how Madrid are in Semi’s again this season…possibly a 6th. Needs serious respect on his name.

Can you please make a video about Cristiano Ronaldo. Not about his ability but the hate that revolves him recently. Granted yes I am a Ronaldo fan since childhood and he means a lot to me, but ever since the 2022 WC he has been slandered and hated like never before, I find pretty sad.

1:17:00 Zagorakis outplayed every single european midfielder he faced in that competition, on and off the ball. Some attackers to boot too, made them all look silly. Remember him doing a sombrero flick on the right flank in one game, just because he could. Insane .

The whole Giggs thing is gutting really. He was absolute quality and I grew up worshipping him (I am not a Man U fan but I but remember kissing the screen when he scored his penalty in the 07/08 CL final), however him being a dodgy character might overshadow what he did. He was also showing signs to really propel Cymru as a manager too.
Timestamps would help with this one, at least for each individual position.

I guess Alfies age..2000 was probably the start of when he started watching football..also it makes sense, being the start of the new millennium etc..personally I'd prefer it if he started these things in 1995 but as I say..starting in 2000 makes more sense.

Post 2011 Pepe (when RM forced him to see a psychologist) is for me one of the best defenders of all time. To me, he is the reason Sergio Ramos is first on yer list. as soon as Pepe left, Ramos started struggling in many facets of the defenisve game, especially positioning.

Prime example: willem van hanegem is often seen as a top 3 of all time dutch player. That means he is rated over players like Gullit, Bergkamp, Rijkaard etc

Dude won a hatrick of Premier league golden gloves beating Cech & Van Der Sar, despite both of them having better defenders and defensive midfielders protecting them. A calming presence in the box and a reliable penalty stopper, he was also the best ball playing goalkeeper in the word before Neuer arrived on the scene. Also don't forget that he was the second choice goalkeeper for that all conquering Spanish side - Valdes was clearly a distant third choice in the national side. Yes, he did start declining by 2013, but so did Valdes after that horrible injury towards the end of his Barcelona career. However, Reina did recover from his decline and had impressive stints at Napoli, Lazio, Aston Villa and is still going at Villa Real. Please put on some respect on his name.
