Palhinha absolutely dominated us in the 3-0 game. With the way he physically imposes himself, he doesn't need the best possession or attacking stats. If we want someone who's primary job is to protect that back 4 and give the team the platform to play, there are few better. Though i like the idea of someone who can do a bit of everything - I do feel we really need a physically dominant beast in there to boss games.
Absolute no brainer for me… PL proven and CM leader - Paulinha… even if it’s only 3 or 4 seasons he’ll be here for the most likely period of Ange ball. Then gradually bring in another younger 6.

De Zerbi is going to be their next manager. The team started to gel. Several top players were out most of the season. Cole Palmer will only get better. Wish Spurs had a young talent like him. They just signed a couple of top talents from south america. I don't see them staying down for long.

Palhinha 1st choice. Would definitely work at Tottenham. 2nd Ederson in Emerson out different positions. Just a letter between though. 12 months ago we’d have bitten a hand off for Amrabat. I think he would be good away from Utd. In fact he ended the season well.
I like Ederson, he's the most versatile of the lot as well, can even play attacking midfield if needed, obviously Spurs really need a dm right now though. Any of them I'd be happy with, just need that holding midfielder to protect the back 4.

I think Mats Wieffer would be the perfect signing for us. We are really struggling on set pieces and aerially in that area.

Biss is perfect against teams that press us, butvnot so good against low block teams who counter us. Think we need a player who is good against defending counter attacks. Think Onana would work well, covers a lot of ground, great tackler

Ugarte is very good but it's interesting that Amorim replaced him with a 6ft DM who was also good at progressing the ball. Btw It's Sporting CP or just Sporting, no Lisbon in the name. Interesting you mentioned Luis and not João Neves who I saw twice in the stadium this year and although Sporting won those matches,he was excellent, outstanding even. He's definitely the one to go for.
We need a struker first and foremost. I agree wholeheartedly that we need a number 6, but Bissouma playing at his best is as good as almost anyone we could get, whereas we dont have a top striker.
Bergvall will be a great addition when he arrives, im sure, but there are certainly positions that still need reinforcements. Certainly at left and right back cover is a must.
I think we have cb cover in our youths and places for a few more of them on the bench.

I think we need 2 CDM's not one DM and for me out of those Ederson and Ugarte would give the kind of balance between providing the defensive coverage and forward passing and movement that would make the midfield really work well protecting the a CB's and being the launching pad to get the ball moving forward and allowing the full backs to be the added am's without the need to be running back to cover the defensive needss (which frankly they fail to do for the most part)
Of course buying both would dent the budget but I hear Ugarte might be loaned which makes him a favourable addition along with the strength of his tackling
I actually wouldn't be unhappy with a couple of young championship players Gray and Hackney both look real prospects, both look very complete in their midfield qualities, obviously unproven in the PL but you only have to look at how well Wharton has done stepping up that if you have the talent and the desire you can do a good job
2 cdms is a bit over the board, we'd be overloaded in the position

@@emperor_von_doughnuts339 No I think we need two cdm's to cover the wide open flanks, and to be able to work centrally. If you have one DM, he'd ne ver manage to cover all the width and teams will make attacks on the flanks
Not only that one DM assuming we have an AM will only leave 1 CM and again that gives the CM a lot of space to cover
Firstly I’d like to recommend a few changes to these videos. Firstly can we see the stats of existing players at spurs as a comparison ie would be good to see Bissouma and Hojberg from this season. I’d also like to see league bias as in the lad from benfixa will have so much better stats as they win the league and play poor teams every week v Onana. Lastly what about neves the ex wolves player
If signing Werner allows us to spend more on a world class 6 and or 9 do we do it?
Ederson seems attainable and I think a great fit. I would say Paulinha is way out of reach but could there be a deal with Skipp/Hoijberg going the other way?

Out of all of these Palacios is probably the best choice but it will be extremely hard to get him especially with Alonso staying at Leverkusen. Personally Ugarte is the one I'd go for. He is only 23 & is a quality CDM.
If Palacios on the market I'd go for the player Leverkusen is planning to bring in as a substitute. Their scouting is brilliant.

Ederson is not for sale. Koopmeiners is Liverpool's top target and he already expressed his desire to leave. Atalanta won't be selling their two CM in the same transfer window.
And another thing that makes this kind of a weird solution is that Ederson isn't a six.... He has more or less always been an 8 or a 10. His position at Atalanta is an 8, if anyone takes up the deeper role it will be either Koopmeiners or De Roon when he's playing. In De Roon's absence it was Djimsiti's role to be CB/6. Maestro doesn't believe in a straight 6, he wants his players to be prepare to solve different positions.
Priority qualities should be: Positioning and defensive side of game. Our defence was cooked mainly because of our cdms are poor
I’d love to see a diamond with double pivot next season. It will give us some more protection and give madders more freedom .
Ederson and Sarr would be great. That way our 8's can also play in there cause we certainy have enough of them

I've always wanted Wilfred Ndidi as a CDM, but might not want to leave Leicester now with them going up and he might not still be the player I remember.
Give Bissouma some consistency in who he plays next to … and … have a striker who can take his chances … and you will see the best of Bissouma
He plays better when he is FREE mentally and not feeling guilty for something he did wrong … such as getting suspended or giving away the ball for a cheap goal
A striker can that finish his chances bissuma hasn’t made one huge chance all season i SWER. We litterly have him since the first 10 games and most of them has been one of three players with him in midfield and he has been horrific since then. He has had all the time he needs

Tbh I think sadly the majority of these targets are slightly out of our range, ederson is a strong maybe, his reputation has enhanced 10 fold after final too.. Kephrum thuram is more likely

No he hasn't... Onana has been sitting on the bench for many games at Everton. Also Onana is more of an 8 than a 6. Very similar attributes to Sarr

I don’t care about bissoumas goals or assists if he played like the first 12 games of the season for the entire season. Wouldn’t care at all. I don’t even care now but I see what that one lad is saying but ultimately I don’t think it matters. Rodri won’t keep doing that and Douglas luiz had a revelation of a season and he’s one of a kind in the prem. Tieliemans would’ve been a great signing for us

Ofc Lookman got MotM. Ederson's match was good but you forget completely that he plays in tandem with Teun Koopmeiners in there. Ederson without Koopmeiners is not that good imho. I've only watched every game with Atalanta since 2012. ; ). He deserves praise, yes. But I heard people saying he took out Wirtz completely from the final and that is pure science fiction. He wasn't even on that duty, the man taking care of Wirtz was Swedish CB Isak Hien. Koopmeiners/Ederson had Xhaka/Palacios.
