- a viewer (thank you Charlie Mac) sent me the link to the crimpit wrap and as it was on a 50% discount, I thought I would give it a go here on the channel so bought it. That discount very likely has expired by now.
I do not normally buy this sort of thing, preferring the free method of wrapping by hand but it did the job and sealed the wrap.
The Crimpit for wraps is now up for giveaway - you have to be a subscriber to the channel and live in the UK - just comment down below if you would like to be in with a chance to win the Crimpit.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching.

Kerry - I might sound thick here but I can't find the allotment site to join.
If you could or if anyone can point me in right direction greatly received.
@@idavo it's Plotx25+ 1 👍
Thank you for tip Kerry, sadly there are some awful people out there aren't there! xx
Hi Kerry think the idea with a Crimpet is to cook them in a Air-fryer after filling them and crimping them. filled them with apricot and cold custard also did bananas and chocolate also cold mash and cheese with onion. Tasted great when cooked in the air fryer . 😃
Ooo yours sounds delish Sarah😋😋 you can do cold wraps, there's a pic of a salad wrap on the front of the box. But I'm trying calzones at the mo while sorting the draw - that'll be up early next week😀👍💕💕
Works a treat for pasties Kerry, I'm kinda on the fence as far as wraps though I feel you can just wrap quicker by hand 🙂
Me too Ingrid😄👍💕💕
Hi Kerry, you're so right just use a fork. Would end up in the cupboard with all the other novel but unnecessary gadgets.
I’d absolutely love one of these. I know it’s not that expensive, but on a state pension I can’t justify buying one. Love to watch you, you give good advice with menus xx
Well said 👏
I would like to be entered in the draw for the crimpet please.
I agree Tina (& thank you), I wouldn't normally buy one either - but thought it would be interesting to try it out for the channel and then give it away. I also think £20 is quite expensive once the discount runs out. Let me know if you'd like to be entered (assuming your UK)😀👍💕
@@budgetcookinguk yes please, I thought I had ! Lol x
Draw now closed! Thank you to everyone who entered, a link to the vlog announcing the winner will appear here: (czcams.com/video/f5a_W1W5H1I/video.html) July 26th '23 midday
Kerry 😀🤞💕
I think it is like the pasty one I was given years ago, it was used a couple of times, then put in the cupboard and forgotten about. My family like to fill their own wraps so wouldn't be very practicable. Plus we prefer the smaller wraps to the large one.
Looks like the successful attempt with wetting the edges is best 😊 yummy
Crimpit looks great. My boys would love it 😀 x
Aww have added you Angeline😀👍💕
I bought one, seemed like I thought I would benefit, it arrived & stayed in the box for 3 weeks.
I thought, what a waste of money & left it another week.
Yesterday seemed to come round quick.
For lunch? I toyed with the idea of several things - decided on a Crimpit wrap.
Ham, cheese & tomatoes.
I prepped everything.
Followed instructions and there in front of me was a packed wrap, ready for the air fryer.
I used mayonnaise as a kind of butter on the inside along with slices of extra strong mature vintage cheddar, ham & half of mini plum tomatoes.
I brushed the outside of the wrap with mayo.
On a temp of about 120° I put the wrap in the air fryer and raised the temperature for mainly the filling, kept my eye in it for about 10 mins, turned temp up to approx 160° ten mins, then 180°-200° - ten mins, I heard it bubbling inside & wrap had taken on a good colour.
Dollops of Mayo & Wholegrain Mustard & I tucked in.
To be honest - it was amazing. Wrap had turned into a pastry & I was eating a pastie!
It was hot, cheese mega melt, the ham & toms made it excellent.
I recommend the Crimpit.
Going to make 2 up today, one for lunch & another for supper or lunch tomorrow.
Filling choice is endless - getting stuff in to make my own Samosas.
You can eat your wraps cold, I am not into the cold doughy consistency of tortillas so air frying is right up my street.
This is such a great comment thanks so much - great detail I loved it😀👍💕
bought one of those, being on my own, it just great for using up leftovers! makes a whole meal for me!
Such a good idea Jean😀👍💕
Now that would go down a treat in my household kerry .x

Omg , my daughter would love this , she is a wrap fiend. She often takes wraps for her lunch to uni and most of the filling falls out by time she goes to eat it. Ideal solution . Take care❤

Love it Kerry, had no idea these existed, looks far bigger than the little square one and so much more versatile. Love that you demonstrated it thank you!. Looks like a super quick way to make a snack or pasty type meal without dropping the contents as you eat, I would love to see what happens to air fried ones, crispy edges, hot meals, YUM!!
Thanks so much 😊❤❤

Thank you Dee!❤❤❤
I foster care for a disabled lady who loves fajitas and filled wraps but struggles to roll them and hold them without all the filling coming out so ive bought this with her in mind. I love mine.
put wrap in crimper, add filling, place in mirowave for 20-30 seconds , then add water to edges, then fold and crimp . should be fine
Hmmm, definitely 2 minute wonder I think ❤
Yes please Kerry 🙏
You're in the draw Lorraine 😀👍❤
Hi Kerry I've just watched this video with my 9 year old Granddaughter. She really loves the look of the crimper so here is our request haha
Aww bless her, you're in the draw😀👍💕💕
She'll be thrilled you replied ❤
❤ yes I've got one but as you say I think it's easier to do it yourself works with the Warburtons thins
I know what you mean about the faff of it but my grandsons adore wraps and I end up warming them in a frying pan and rolling up them up. (The wraps, not the boys😱) but I think they would give a thumbs up to the Crimpit. I love your channel by the way!
Lol that made me think of my fav book as a kid, flat stanley, who got rolled up and posted by mistake!! You're in the draw😀👍❤
It would make a nice big pasty 😊
I love my Crimpit Wrap. They are great, especially air fried. I love putting pizza filling in them, so they are like a Calzone. I'm yet to try using pastry but it's definitely a something I want to try soon. Give it another try Kerry but airfry them and see what you think. Xx
That's a great idea
Think that's a good idea Claire😀👍, am sorting the giveaway at the moment, will do a calzone as a last go before the giveaway
Love the sandwich Crimpit, love to try wrap one.x
You're in the draw😀👍❤
well spotted kerry, i too had a congrats text, but as you will see im no good at some types of teck no how, how lucky for me. thanks once again
Crimpit looks really good, you could you use it for pasties. Love your channel Kerry .
Aw thank you Margaret❤❤
That looks great Kerry,I have the square one that you are suppose to use with Warburtons thins(other thins are available 😂) but I also use it with thin sliced bread to make sealed toasties for my 8 year old Granddaughter and she loves them but isn't so keen on the thins which I like, just fill, crimp, and throw in the toaster or air fryer, nothing simpler, our Heidi also loves a wrap so that could be a nice addition to my kitchen gadgets but I would probably use it with pizza dough for a calzone, another good video, keep them coming
Aw that sounds lovely - you're in the draw😀👍
@@budgetcookinguk Thank you
It looks good my wraps full apart
Fancy trying a crimper Kerry, I'm in. 😊
You're in the draw Janet😀👍❤❤
Guess maybe better if you heat them , maybe easier if bread. Mmm not sure like you say think easier to fold a wrap. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks Karen❤ trying Calzones at the mo while sorting the draw out finally🥴😄👍
hi kerry this. looks great, i love the way you will try anything, im thinking this would be just the ticket for making cornish pasties using puff pastry My grandson bought me a chicken and salsa wrap which looked just like your crimpet. love your channel you are so versatile.
Aww thank you Grace❤ You're in the draw😀👍
I would love to enter the giveaway please. I've seen a lot of people using this and I think it would be great for making pasties and crimping wraps like you have. Keep up the great content, I'm a subscriber of both of your channels and you've inspired me with lots of recipes and gardening tips 😊

Hi Kerry, the Crimpit Wrap looks great. I'd love to be put in the draw to win it please.x
You're in the draw😀👍❤
Yes I bet with pastry or pizza dough it would be even better xx
I'm trying that now while I sort the draw out😋👍👍
Hi kerry you could put ready rolled pastry in it and make your own pastys like jf you make a beef casserole and have some left over let it cool and pop it jn the pastry in the crimpit and close crimpet and you have a pasty
Hi kerry, That could be cool for putting pastry in with numerous fillings, and then pop in the air fryer to cook. Probably won't be lucky kerry, but would like the opportunity to be able to try possibilities with it. Thx for the chance❤.
You're in the draw Trish!😀👍❤❤❤
That looks good..I'd like a chance of winning please .. I have the smaller square one & find it do useful.. Love to try the wrap one.. I suppose you could microwave the wrap before you add your filling especially if adding salad.. First time I've seen this new gadget Kerry so thanks for showing us x
Thank you Beverley ❤❤You're in the draw😀👍
I was going to buy one of the wrap one but it was 14.99 and I'm not sure wether o should it does look good ! I think with mozzarella cheese and Italian herbs and as,ami in it then cook in air fryer ? Tasty 🤗😋 enjoyed your demo as I wondered what other ppl thgt about it cheers hun 👍

Defo Glenda😀👍 sorting the draw now and making a calzone for the channel, tried puff pastry too - that'll be out early next week❤
I kept looking at this today, as I have the first square crimpit which I use on sandwich thins ! So i was interested in how you got on. I thought heating salad was strange 🤭 bet it makes great Cornish pasties using ready rolled pastry 😋 I’d love to be in the giveaway x
That was weird lol, not something I will repeat but wetting the edges worked lol. Have added you Penny😀👍💕
Ou can use cheap thin sliced bread in those square Crimpets, its a lot cheaper!
so many other options with using this crimpit,, , also,, i would hv cut it into 4 wedges b4 eating it,, , but ill hv to go to Amazion here in Canada,, tu so much for ur time in sharing with us,, great gob with the instructions, bon appetite 👌
Oh thank you ❤❤❤
Hi Kerry like the look of that, I’d love one Cheers
You're in the draw😀👍
I think one you tuber bought one for £5.99. Even on Amazon they are £11.99 or two for £16.99. These are a fad and will soon be pushed to the back of the cupboard after the novelty has worn off.
I agree with you, very likely will end up in the back of an odds n sods drawer or the like. Those for £11.99 are the original small square ones on amazon, the wrap crimpit ones aren't on amazon yet - just checked.I prefer to hand wrap a wrap, best budget option - but bought this one to try on the channel and then give it away😀👍💕
It's a cheaper version of the toasted sandwich maker
I use mine everyday so do a lot of people. If you don't like it that's fine but way to say nobody else will!
I would love this crimper. Thank you
Have added you 😀👍💕
Hi Kerry. I brought a sandwich crimpit a while ago and I quite like it. The wrap one I would probably like to try pastry and have like a pasty, that would be interesting to try out.
Pastry sounds like a fab idea to try with it Dorinda😀👍💕just checking - would you like to be added to the draw?
Yes please Kerry if you could put me in the draw. 👍
Oh, now, I was looking at the bread one but didn't know you could get one for wraps. Again, this would be a novelty idea for Harrison to try out. I love a calzone 🤤😋. He made the garlic bread with his Salami and loved it. we had done half Salami and half chorizo. Also, the parcels you made as pizzas, he saw a video of someone making them with Nutella and Biscoff, so guess what he made? lol. Thank you for the demonstration. Maybe just use a pastry brush for the water? Great vlog as always. I hope you had a lovely weekend xxx
I'm so impressed with Harrison Jacqueline, he should be young chef of the year, I've put Harrisons name down for it😀👍💕💕💕 just read the bit about wetting a pastry brush! Why didn't I think of that!! 😄
@budgetcookinguk oh he doesn't do much Kerry but if something interests him he will have ago at it, I've had the 3 boys in the kitchen helping me since they have been small as I was always helping my Gran, I think it helps when they get older although now the other 2 would rather someone done it for them 😉 😄. Thank you for putting Harrisons' name in the drawn 🥰🥰. It's different for us looking on and sharing our ideas and suggestions, but you were following the packaging instructions, and not everyone has a pastry brush. Thanks again Kerry xxx ❤️
@budgetcookinguk Kerry you seem to have a spammer with a fake account telling people they have won. Xx
