    In my opinion Thodi raga is the crown jewel of Carnatic music and all that it represents. What a magnificent rendition of the same.

    He is one of the very very few musicians who even puts connoisseurs to a trance where we just listen to the melody he creates and forget about everything else .
    Long live krishna sir .

  • @ramsubramaniank.sathyanath8322

    Everytime I listen to TMK I can't stop admiring his rendition filled with complete mastery. The imagination is boundless and it makes his rendition a rarity. Any Raaga he touches turns into a special one, fully explored and reaching new heights. The Beauty is that the co-artists also raise their capabilities to higher levels to provide justice to TMK's high standards. Feeling of sowkyam, bhaavam and layam thanks for the upload🙏

    This magnificent krithi of Kumara Ettendra Bhupathi from the Ettayapuram Samasthanam was popularised by TMK's Guru Semmangudi Sri. Srinivasa Iyer. TMK reminds me of the great man's peerless rendition, especially in the way he takes his time delineating the Chitta swars. A truly flawless performance, with wonderful support from Kumari Subbalakshmi, Sri. Manoj and Sri. Anirudh.

    Loved this!! Incredible. Really enjoyed the kalpanaswarams for the chittaswaram. Such an innovative idea. I have heard a beautiful recording of the same song by Vid. TMK (accompanied by Vid. Mysore Manjunath, Vid. K Arun Prakash, and Vid. Udupi Sridhar) in the album 'Janaranjani' released on 4 Jun 2004. Somehow, I liked that version much more than I liked this one! I recommend buying that album and listening to this song (and others, of course) and then do tell me what you think! :)

    Rendition was good. But that is not the way to sing neraval . You mustn't change the syllabic configuration of each word of the lyrics. It was a good rendition for those who don't know Carnatic classical music. No matter who does it it's a wrong thing according to the rules of neraval .

    • @deramr
      @deramr Před 3 lety +5

      TMK has given multiple lectures on this exact topic. What you are mentioning is not an absolute rule, it varies according to lineage. Even so, he teaches his students according to what you have mentioned, as he considers that good training for students, but has made the decision not to follow that rule himself.
