    Perfect! I've been meaning to change my headlights for a few weeks now, but I wanted to learn more about my bike rather than taking it to the mechanic - great video

    Great video...very clear and changed bulb in my FZ8 exactly the way he said. Great too that he specified the bulbs for both dip and full beam lights.

    Great video, but I just wanted to say that you should always try to not touch the glass part of the bulbs when putting them back into the headlight, the grease on your hands can cause them to fail prematurely.

      @@FabMotorbikes They must make them with better glass now, I have wiped out several bulbs touching them way less than in this video. They say you can wipe them off with alcohol to remove the hand oils but to be honest I have had bulbs fail after doing that too. Makes me wonder if that's an old wives tale or not because you clearly show its not an issue in this video.

    Hi mate, i was wondering if you had ever replace the "daylight" bulbs on you fazer. There is 2 and one of mine died XD So i was looking to replace all bulbs by LED that my yamaha dealership have. They are legal so, no blinding other drivers, and they are apparently plug and play. But for having a full nice looking of the front, i was looking at replacing all 4 bulbs and not only the daylight ones.

      Hi I’ve not had to do those ones yet. But I think the process is very similar.

      @FabMotorbikes  Před 2 lety

      hello! and greetings from the UK. For this you will need a 12v 5W bulb. see here>> amzn.to/2ZuTudA And so install you will need to remove the black inner section of the fairing. They are simply held in my rubber mountings and gcan easily be pulled out. I hope this was of any help . Thanks for watching!

    Fabian, the FZ6 that I got is a 2008 S2 model and the previous owner has altered the headlight by making both sides work simultaneously at all times (instead of having just one side work as they usually do). Do you think it could ever cause some sort of issue, be it battery related or any other type? I'd appreciate your opinion. Thank you in advance!

    • @gablan1468
      @gablan1468 Před 2 lety

      Having in mind that both of them turn on as soon as I turn the key (engine not started). I wonder if it could ever cause any issue.

    • @FabMotorbikes
      @FabMotorbikes  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Aleks, I cant imagine it being a huge issue. I would just be extra careful to NOT leave the bike with the ignition on with out the engine running for too long. You may also want to ride at around 5,000 rpm for a little every so often. As this is peak charging level for he battery. But overall it should be fine.

    • @gablan1468
      @gablan1468 Před 2 lety

      Thank you for such a fast reply! And if I'm standing in neutral and just revving at 5000rpm - would that charge the battery just as good as driving, what do you think?

    Do you know the type of the parking / auxiliary light bulbs?

    • @FabMotorbikes
      @FabMotorbikes  Před 2 lety

      Based on my manual for my bike. There isn’t anything in ‘parking’ or ‘auxiliary’ bulbs. But there is a side light bulb, which sits up in the corner of the headlight. This is a 5W bulb.

    • @mileospart8162
      @mileospart8162 Před 2 lety

      @@FabMotorbikes Its referred as ‘auxiliary’ bulb on mine but its the one that sits up in the corner of the headlight indeed. After some search I found it as a T10 12v 5w bulb by Osram. Thank you for your fast reply and keep up the good work! 👍👍

    Why 🤔 is the h4 is on the right side it's do deap and full beam h7 is just full beam? I don't understand it's should be h4 on the low beam all the time and both will be full beam when you need it

    • @FabMotorbikes
      @FabMotorbikes  Před rokem

      I agree it’s quite odd. I have wondered this myself.
      Having only one headlight “working” most of the time is a little odd looking too.
      Although some have the theory that it’s not safe for motorcycles to have two headlights on as in the dark they can appear to be a car that is much further away, opposite to a much closer motorcycle.
