Lexus IS200 Japspeed sports cat installation!

Since the other cat died... (I think), I thought I'd replace it with a Japspeed Sports Cat along with a new O2 sensor, which was also dead! Sound-wise, there's not much difference, but I guess you could argue there's more air-flow... and no, it won't increase performance in any way! ^.^ Enjoy!

Why did you think that your cat was dead? I think mine might be blocked as the exhaust is really hot, smells really bad and has a lot of carbon buildup.

Hi, did you have any MOT issued with the sport cat? I've already removed the precats but mine is leaking where they both join similar to your manifold replacement guide.

First of all, it flew through MOT emissions. Secondly, make sure you buy two original Lexus exhaust gaskets, don’t use the gasket from the Japspeed cat on the manifold side. If you need any further advice, just let me know. Good luck ✌🏻

Finally finished the SC install and it's highlighted a few weak points with one being the exhaust leak. Clutch is also slipping but not bad for 140k miles on original clutch!!

@@shizukesajdm yep with 165mm pulley. It's quicker than before but damn the SC is loud. Thankfully it's electromagnetic activated so can turn it on and off.
