Hope you can use this throttle and work out some idle functionality!
ETCSi is notorious at ruining the accelerator pedal feel on late 90's and early 00' Toyota and Lexus models. The IS200 was always noted as 'slow' but it wasn't on paper - it was only slow in practice due to the electronic restrictions imposed by the ETCSi throttle.
I have got the TCR and engine light flashings and problems with minimum rev. Does anyone know the solution? 😢
Altezza as200 also 6 cyl with 1gfe, doesn't have a fly by wire but as far as I remember you have to change loom and ecu along with the throttle body to get it to run right
Does this stop the IS200 traction control working when fitted?
Does the is200 ecu cope ok if you swap to this throttle body and idle control‽
Initially - the ecu freaking hates life. I won’t give up though, there has to be a way around!
@@ThatCarChannelOfficial if you plug the old rear TPS (accelerator pedal position sensor) in with the sensor reading full throttle it'll let you rev it again, without that reading the ecu cuts the engine at around 3500/4000rpm as I'm sure you know!
@@MatthewWillard99 your a legend!
@@supials8356hey, I see Mat and other people in the comments saying that this throttle body doesn't mesh well with the ECU and it doesn't work. did you end up making it work or should I not bother getting the part?
Was genau will er da jetzt machen?
Ich verstehe das nicht.
Hey any luck with this ? Video if so an how much better does it preform thanks
bill ow no sorry, doesn’t work
There are a few options:
GX100 m/t vvti ECU: 89661-22840 with
modified GX100 harness: 82111-2C830
or
Standalone ECU with modified GX100 harness.
Anyone got another one spare? I need sideways action!
Can you put it on a 2jzge is300 2001
Short answer - No
That's a completely different engine so definitely not
There is a different solution for the 2jz throttle body. Throttle lock. Its a little plastic piece that you place over throttle body valve mechanism under the springloaded assmebly and it bypasses drive by wire entirely.
