    I agree with the aftermarket intake. Seems like a lot of trouble to adapt everything down to the same small hole as the original carburetor.

    I know this is old but why not plug the intake manifold barb and just run a line from the pcv on the valve cover directly to the back of the carb?

    Is it same process adding a 4 barrel Holley 390 vs 2 barrel?
    I don’t see the 2 barrel for sale anywhere.

    Hello Robert. I want to do the same conversion on my 1973 chevy pickup C-10 250 inline six. Do you have a video dedicated to installing the new linkage? I had a 2 bbl built a J&J Carburaters but balked because of the linkeage. thanks.

    Use blue locktite on the nuts holding the adapter plate on.6 cylinders vibrate and the nut could get loose.....and go down the intake.

    I just bought a 1972 Nova with the 250 straight six what all do you think I should throw on there to make it run nice and smooth

    • @VinnyMartello
      @VinnyMartello Před 3 lety +1

      If you want cheap big power out of a 250 do whats called the "lump port". That's what I'm doing to mine among many other things. Get you some SBC 307 flat top pistons and ditch the stock intake. Even with a stock cam some flat tops and the lump port it will make tons of power and still run smooth.

    Were did you purchase Carberator

  • @mschiffel1
    @mschiffel1 Před 7 lety +5

    Nice installation but you really must buy an aftermarket intake manifold to utilize the full benefits of having a 350 CFM carb....sure, it'll run as is, but you still have a choke point at the carb base...the stock 1bbl will probably outperform the Holley.

    • @Hector-gk1co
      @Hector-gk1co Před 3 lety

      I agree with you . this is like that holley 350 never be full throttle.maybe it make rich fuel and smoke .
      at least he could make a bigger hole on intake and some machine work on head and install bigger valves like 1.92 and 1.6 to have a good performance

    What is a good aftermarket intake to use with this carb, also what's the best route for exhaust headers/manifold?

    • @VinnyMartello
      @VinnyMartello Před 4 lety

      Offenhauser makes a triple carb 1-barrel or a regular 4 barrel. Headers are readily available. But if you want to make real power get a lump port kit. Run a 2.5 or 3 inch single exhaust that will do just fine. Inline sixes do better with a single than a double.
