A picture of Ancelotti smoking a cigar with his Madrid players went viral after they won the Champions League, but how far back does Ancelotti's smoking habits start?
Fortunately, he has been able to switch to chewing gum during matches, a much better habit to cope with the tension. - Sport
Imagine how much more he would have achieved as a coach if they hadn't banned smoking in stadiums...
Probably less. Studies show that smoking helps to calm your nerves and get you focused for a very short period of time (5-10 min). After that you become even more anxious than you were before smoking that cigarette.
@@ma5ticore but then you can just smoke another one! The key is to smoke one every 10min! 😊
@@AjejeB yeah, around 96 cigarettes a day😂
@@AjejeB that's right! That way you can also help with population control by passing away early.
@@edwardelric2369 😂
He's an aggressive chewer alright.. but I've never seen a man torturing a piece of gum quite like Sir Alex.
Torturing gum😂
Sam Allardyce rival's fergie in the chewing stakes.

When u face a team with manager and his expression was plain "🤨" the entire match, u know u gonna lose

exactly bro 😂
So young, yet he was already managing one of the historical giants of world Football… grande Carletto
Lies again? Quit Smoking Like Coach

Chewing gum isn't his trademark
The eyebrow raise IS!
Very true lol
The eye raise seems to be inbuilt within him than a trademark.
Both
🤨
if he raise his eyebrows, probability real madrid won ucl final increase to 20%
If you’re trying to quit smoking don’t give up! Studies show that people who stop smoking can recover their lungs to a very significant degree. Stay strong, it’s worth it💪🏼
Bro I love your channel, keep up the good work.
It almost sounded like you're encouraging them to keep smoking, but I get you 🤣
Hahaha that’s so true, I changed it now. Thanks buddy

Grande Carletto! He was born to command the greatest stars
there is one grande in world and he is grande fatih terim
@@anthonysoprano5440 who is that
Damn. These days it doesn't feel like he is nervous during games
When you once coached a team that lost a champions league final after being 3 goals up, there is nothing in football that can make you nervous. There is no other experience in football that can be as worse or nerve wrecking as 2005 Istanbul champions league final.
We coached Milan 2005 and Real 2014, the man have seen it all
He chew nicotine gum
@@chukwumamoghalu2325 please shut up
bro it looks like his blood is made out of ice
I now imagine why I don't see coaches smoke in stadiums anymore...
Cos it was banned in 2007. This, I had no idea about.
Me too. I found it very strange that many quit smoking for a while as we used to see them smoking a lot.

ancelotti is the strongest Coach ever , he always play the attack and know how to handle the defense even with wek players , never saw him holding his head during hard times , truly charisma
He knows what.. the defense is only as good as ur players. He can't handle the defense if the players make mistakes.. let 4 goals vs city..
Yeah right ......we all saw how he failed at Everton 🤣🤣

Joachim Löw is smoking Marlboro Lights.
@@yannick245 He puts his pubic hairs which he plucks out on the touchline into his spliff.
The goal was incredible
@Mosaab نعم هو naah, he was more like an hardworking and logical midfielder. Unfortunately, or maybe not, I am old enough to have seen that Ac Milan side as a kid and the only baller they had was the winger, Donadoni. Gullit and Van Basten were pure class, but not baller. Only after Sacchi they bought some of that type of players, such as Savicevic, Boban and Baggio.
@Mosaab نعم هو oh yes, definitely. He arrived to Milan almost at the end of his career, after having great years at Roma. Interestingly, he lost his first Champions League/European Cup final... against Liverpool, in 1984 on penalties. The same side he lost to again in 2005, as a manager. But he won all the other 5 finals...
Excellent strike but rubbish goalkeeping. Went straight down the middle, and balls didn't swerve and bobble around mid flight back then like they do now
Staff: Sir, please dont smoke in here
Ancelotti: 🤨 🚬
A smoking career!
I managed to stop smoking but the desire to light one never goes away
Also used to do it when am nervous because i realized wen am nervous i forget to breathe properly n the smoking induces heavy inhaling n exhaling 🤷♂️
Wierd to understand but that's how it is
Respect for stopping! 🤝
So, purpose of smoking cigarettes is to control breathing to makes you relax? Non smoker here.
@@MrDjambronk smoking involves pulling air deeply into your lungs n that right there is wat you need to do when anxious so that is why smoking comes in
@@arfenmalik1717 Totally can understand even though I was never a regular smoker... Basically it's all in the nervous system (NS) in the frontline of interacting with the world, the subtlest of stuff that you feel begins with the nerves and they have immense power over our breathing and signalling of release of hormones.
Once this knowledge seeped deep within me (and a lot of other stuff), I always kept a possibility that my pain, tightness, breathlessness and anxiety may probably not be because something's wrong with me but rather it just be my hyperexcited NS or my lack of restful sleep. Then I always tried to make the better choices of not taking the easier and detrimental way out. I failed numerous times but I also succeeded a plenty.
I'm trying to take up hobbies and paths which should promote good health down the line. But let's see. Hope for the best. Also, Deep and restful breathing along with humming are my go to now a days whenever I get the time or whenever I feel I'm stressed. Surprisingly many times this doesn't help but still, you got to do what you got to do. It accumulates for the long run.
nicotine improoves oxigenation too, as counterlogical as it may sound, vasoconstriction generates a brief but sure rush of blood everywhere, specially to the brain.
One of the badass managers !! He knows how to gain respect from his players
My friend just died yesterday of lung cancer at 51 because he smoked, leaving behind a wife and 7-year old daughter. RIP David.
Dang man. My condolences
Ill lit one up for him
Sorry man, I stopped smoking as it gave me bad anxiety. Could be fine and fancy a cig in which it would speed my heart rate up and make me feel sluggish. I don’t get it when people say it calms their nerves but I guess it’s different for some people. I was never that bad anyways, I could all week without one and then smoke a deck on a weekend
He died because he lived. RIP David. Hope they have your favorite brand. 🫡
Same with me @@mast3rchief536
You forgot to mentioned that once he almost choked when Milan won a game (I guess it was during Milan-Ajax in 2003) at the very last minute and Gattuso jumped on him from behind: Ancelotti almost swallowed his cigar and since then he was way more cautious when smoking during a game.
Managed the biggest clubs and had success in every country. PSG, Bayern, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan, 4 UCL. Universally loved and respected by the footballing community, and his players. Legend.
🤨
I have no interest in the topic, but you putting the clips in of him whilst a player I had never seen before and made it worth my time. Thank you editor, good job
Love this channel and love ancellotti. Love from italy
give this man italys nation team, sit back and enjoy grande carlito
remember when Gattuso hug Ancelotti from behind and the sigaret finished in his mouth 😂😂😂
I like the fact he took up smoking at 25, shows he actually cared
Lol the Spanish commentator on the man city vs RealMadrid game 15 min in they said Guardiola seemed nervous meanwhile Ancelotti looked calm then joked he sure is look how much packets of bubble gum he’s had in 15 min it looks about 5 😂shit was funny
Don Carlo 🤙🏼 he is always 🆒😎
Marcello Lippi always comes to mind when I think of coaches who smoke. He always looked so cool on the sideline smoking his stogies.
I mean, dude is Italian. He got that mafia energy in him.
As a diehard Red I have nothing but respect for Don Carlo a true legend of the sport......YNWA.
Nicotine is a very balancing stimulant - picks you up a little if you’re down, calms you if you’re on the edge. No one rocks a cigar quite like Carlo
He was trained by the very best, Arrigo Sacchi teach him lots of things and as a manager he became one of the best ones, great player and great manager.
Always rated this man
Great man. Great manager. A true icon. Love the man
Smoke, and you become a succesfull man like Ancelotti.
Uncle Carlo…….. after sir Alex he’s my fav manager of all time ………that AC Milan team in the early to mid 2000’s……. My word ….. what a team
legend
Grande Carlo pur Italian class legend !
And now he didn't move an inch when Real scored 2 goals in 2 min.
Best Manager of all Time.
People also forget he used to be a legendary player
If smoking in stadiums was banned in 2007 how was Sarri able to smoke all the time in Italy?
he didnt,he just kept a cigarette filter in his mouth
What a great coach
Carlo looks like an Italian mob boss.
He also used to take smoking breaks during games when he was a player..
First time seeing a cig smoking highlight career
Bro wanna die for this sport❤ Milan always loves u Carlo❤️🖤
Incredible content
imagine how much chewing gum he had chewedd
Legend of the game
As Juve fan I heard that Claudio Marchisio used to smoke two pqcks a day! Which is mindblowing since I've watched this guy week in week out and he left everything on the field in every game.
Don carlo ! One of the best managers in the history of football.
Man of culture!
Ancelotti always looks so nervous outside on the line
Managers smoking cigars was a common sight on Serie A sidelines in the '90s.
I hope young players avoid tobacco as well as these horrible disposable vapes which may have health consequences we don't even know of yet. There's even a snus (a type of powerful snuff which is placed between the upper lip and gum) problem in the game I've heard about.
Great Coach !
Even as a Barca fan I can't not appreciate Carletto's greatness. He is definitely one of the greatest coaches ever.
Italian coaches are cool
Now he just raises his eyebrows
Ancelotti being nervous during games surprises me, he always looks so calm with that one eyebrow raised
For me he is the best manager of all time
I love how he is getting the fame and respect he always deserved!
He always has gotten the respect always.
Lol must be really young. 🤣
Sit down kid.
Why do people say these things
You must be 10 years old.
Some people when they are nervous they start a smoke 6 or 8 cigarettes in one hour, I think it's normal and it really helps , but don't forget it's a bad for u r health
Dude hit the griddy 0:27
Van Bommel smoked 40 a day at Ajax and he was quality, the ground he used to cover was immense.
Depends on the person I would guess.
Lmao he looks like the opposite of nervois always extremly calm even at the biggest Thrillers like this year
Ricardo Lavolpe used to smoke during games too. When the Mexican press asked him whether he’d quit he said he’d rather give up coaching than smoking.
Legend
Grande! Grande Carlo!
Smoking was very common amongst coaches in football ...seems crazy given the ill effects on health and the fact that they are in a professional sport as well as ex pros themselves
This guy makes La Decima dream and revenge against L iverpool came true🔥
And I thought he was Mr cool and wasn't nervous
One of the greats
He got a cool drip tho
Marcello Lippi is my favorite smoking coach. It's good to see them smoking by the bench. FIFA doesnt need to ban smoking. It makes football match more human
No thanks
What an awfully IDIOTIC comment
Lol smoking is terrible
@@AR-rg2enthey smoke anyway when there’s no camera so what’s the point of banning it for 90 minutes? To “send a message” ?
@@ITSHIM1294 Because the human subconscious, especially that of children, will associate smoking with that of their favourite coach instead of that of an addict, which makes those people more likely to consume said product. There is a reason tobacco companies advertised the Marlboro man with that of a freedom loving cowboy, a strong male model. You are already influenced by this perception from the previous decades and you don’t realize it. If you associate smoking with someone who is an addict and can’t control his impulses, you won’t think the same. There is a reason why less people smoke these days, and less lung cancer as a result.
Bravo Carlo!
Sarri used to smoke at games until very recently lol
Back to Milan Don Carletto 🔥
anybody saw this in the last game against man city in the bernabeo, he took out a cigarette from his pocket , he wanted to smoke but he realised that he's still in the pitch so he quickly took away the cigarette from his mouth before any one can see.. it's was funny
Well smoking is calming
He such the comfortable coach
Top 5 titles!!!
that’s some good stress relief. if players were allowed to smoke on the field of play, then they’d perform better due to having the edge taken off. that would result in bigger scorelines, as well as maybe Tottenham finally winning something, although i don’t think even a pack of marlboro’s or PEDs could help them
Don’t forget he drink coffee to cool down himself when he’s managing Everton team
He's the managerial GOAT
The greatest 21st century manager ahead of Fergie, Mourinho & Wenger only Pep can challenge him for this title.
O melhor treinador do mundo
The background stadium athmosphere sound is from dortmund. Interesting.
No wonder every time ancelottis team loses he starts chewing his gum aggressively 😂 to ease his stress and anger
Dont know if he is more like a gentleman or the boss himself, but for sure he is one of the greatest managers of modern football history
Greatest manager since SAF
Grande Carlo!
What a coach
I clearly remember zidane was smoking while he was putting his socks on in the dugout before a World Cup final (his classic headbutt game)
