- Everyone remembers the Steven Gerrard slip against Chelsea, unfortunately possibly losing Liverpool a Premier League title. There are also many more mistake that ultimately cost the team a trophy or a title. No hate to any player, making mistakes is part of the game. Enjoy!

Thank you for not including Baggio, I hate how his career is defined by that one moment and not for all his brilliant performances in Italian football when it was the best league in the world
Tbf the baggio miss didn't 100% cost them the world cup. IF he scored there's a good chance Brazil's fifth taker would have scored with the next kick and won anyway.
@@epicfan1598 pretty much like Torres goal against Barca. Pretty useless goal but people remember it like crazy and not Ramires goal
Still cost a trophy
Ngomng tai atuh
@@kunsagita7556 True, but what makes the goal iconic for me was the Arabic commentary.
Once I saw "mistake" and "trophy" in the same sentence Karius came to my mind 💀

You can’t call that Bayern penalty mistake a mistake, Cech was an absolute monster of a keeper back then. Good save by Cech, not a mistake.
It was poor penalty by robben.
@@harukrentz435 it wasn’t…
More the slip by Terry that probably caused him to hit the post. Van der Sar did tell Anelka which side he was going to aim for.

Dont forget the match after the infamous gerard slip in epl 2013/2014 season where liverpool were 3-0 up at 79 mins vs crystal palace and ended up drawing 3-3.
Chelsea then drew to Norwich and lost to Sunderland to throw away the title worse than Liverpool did that year😂
But I think they were trying to make up a sizable goal difference (11 goals). They were already doomed unless Man City threw it away. Something City does not do on season ending games.
A victory against Palace wouldn't have made a difference, Liverpool and City would have had 86 points by the end of the season, and City would have been champions because of goal difference
@@donpepes9930 Chelsea were never serious contenders that season though hence Mous infamous two race horses and a little horse speech.
3-1 RMA vs Liverpool was kinda heartbreaking tbh, I saw how Karius was devastated and I also felt bad for mo salah, failr play for RMA though.
Still funny tho
Don't worry Salah will get revenge soon...
@@HonestMan112 Nah.. He did not get last year, he is never getting it..
@@HonestMan112 yeah cry about it
It was revealed afterwards that Karius was suffering from concussion, most likely due to an earlier challenge on him by Ramos. Looking at this now, it makes sense given the mistakes where his ability to see properly seems to have been compromised. But that's on Liverpool's medical staff not being able to tell he had a problem.
So sorry for Steven Gerard. The great captain slipped so insultingly. And for Kahn's mistake in Ronaldo's first ball, the Germans in 2014 answered in full...
SG appeared to lose control of the ball though before he slipped ......
It was a great moment.....may it be remembered for ethernity
Overall, it wasn't Gerrard's fault for loosing that title (who was the best player of that team. It was Mignolet's, who was a terrible goalkeeper, with lot of mistakes. It has cost Liverpool at least 8 points that season. It's easy now to throw it on Gerrard.
@@mirceapop9770 don't make me laugh dude. It was Gerards fault, he fell on his ass. Lmfao.

You do realise what would happen after 90 minutes if players didn't make mistakes? 0-0 draws!
I wonder how many goals do not have their genesis in a "mistake'.
After atletico madrid were robbed from that offside goal real madrid scored they included var shortly after
That Bayern Chelsea thing still hurts to watch, even after all those years. Still inexplicable, how this match could have possibly been lost. And it feels like even the victory one year later doesn't fully eradicate the pain this caused.

Euro 2000: Holland vs. Italy
Frank de Boer missed two penalty kicks.
That doesn't guarantee Holland a trophy though. France won against Italy in the final.
And that was a terrific Dutch team.
Any sight of that 2012 final I still get goosebumps, wasn’t really a mistake from bayern though cech just turned into a god that game and drogba did his thing. Also love watching the gerrard slip gets me every time
Perhaps they are referencing Robben's missed penalty. He did get to play hero a few years later against Dortmund.
@@stevencooke6451 it wasn’t a missed penalty it was saved and considering cech guessed the right way on every penalty in that game I would say it was more world class goalkeeping than a mistake
It was a moment of Destiny for Chelsea. Coming back from the dead and buried against Napoli. That crazy game against Benfica. Barca away. Down to ten men, 2-1 down on aggregate, then Ramires goal. Then Messi gets a penalty. Hits the goddamn bar. Then they lay siege to the goal. Torres breaks and kills the tie. 2-3 two away goals. The final. But Chelsea had to be tortured just a little bit more.
I think the mistakes were more in the Barca Chelsea match that season.. 😅

Gotta feel bad for Karius...after those mistakes, his career was basically destroyed :D

Very weird things; Bayern Munich lost on their home from Chelsea, which is from London, but they won UCL in Wembley.
Somehow Bayern is very good at playing in London.
It's incredible how 2 legends for their clubs such as Gerard and Terry were the ones that make to lose thei own clubs. So curious...

Wether it was a robbery or not... do you imagine how amazing would've been to see a Manchester United - Chelsea Final repeated on Roma?
Chelsea lose in 2008 was not all Terry's. Drogba supposed to be the alst penalty taker for Chelsea. That slap on Vidic turned the history
One word, Karius.
An honest question, do european watch the Libertadores? I'm asking cause I thought Andreas mistake at the final in 2021 would be in this video.
Gerrard: Why is the table so slippery
For me, it is unfair that these mistakes cost Karuis his whole career as he is a very good goalkeeper.
Doesnt Look like one
He had a concussion
This is kinda dumb, every game loss ever could be blamed on some kind of mistake if you wanted to
Those times mnu and Chelsea .. what a match and teams

2:26 yes it was offside because you cant score goal using your fkin hand!
I still has goosebump everytime i rewatch chelsea bayern 2012
I think any goalkeeper would recive those goals from Ronaldo ,Don't blame Kahn
The thing with the gerrard one is that although the slip is largely responsible, it was the poor first touch that caused everything
The thumbnail is a masterpiece.
I feel only mistakes in major tournaments, just as Euros, Copa America and especially the World Cup should be included. There's much more prestige in those tournaments and failure is not an option there, you can possibly never get the chance again.
In UCL you can always join a club next season and you can win UCL, just look at Hazard who was a legend at Chelsea, but only won UCL last year.
The Premier league is even smaller, happens every year and you're only the champion of one small country so.....
"THIS DOESNT SLIP!"
having to watch JT's slip in the final again made me so sad......seeing liverpool fuck up even worse at the end put me back in a good mood
Overhead kick by Gareth Bale is incredible. Vamos los blancos.
Karius got the top #1
And whose mistake RUINED the trophy in the 2012 CL finale ? Makes no sense.
Yup if anything blame the whole Bayern team with not being able to score more then 1 goal at their home stadium
penalty miss
Oliver Kahn is to this day the best goalkeeper I've ever seen sadly people remember him for his mistake in 2002 without realizing That Kahn almost single handedly took a mediocre Germany team to the finals conceding just once. Mind you this is the year after he stopped 3 penalties to win Bayern Munich the UCL in 2001. As for the John Terry slip I'm glad that happened to him not just cuz I am a Manchester United fan but because he was a piece of shit ( Wayne bridge scandal )
Kahn had lost feeling in his hand following a duel. That's why he failed to catch the ball on Rivaldo's shot and conceded the first goal.
However the team was not mediocre. It was made up of players from Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, finalists for the C3 and C1...

German vs brazil was a standard game. Even if Khan blocked that first shot, they would still pulled it off.
Brazil were clearly the better team. But, Kahn was capable of stealing matches, and I tend to think that in a shootout the pressure is on the team that feel they should have won in the first 120, if not 90, minutes.
@@stevencooke6451 well if they got to a shoot out, now that'd be different story.
