HARD disagree on Link saying peanut butter/sauce doesn't belong on a burger. I had an amazing peanut sauce and bacon burger from a sitdown restaurant recently and it was transcendent.

I lived in Mississippi from 2015-2017, there was a place there called Mug Shots that made absolutely incredible burgers. One of them was a peanut butter burger, it was literally their signature burger with bacon and all the usual fixin's, and some peanut butter spread on the top bun...sooooo good.

I love listening to the three of them reminiscing about restaurants that, here in eastern Tennessee, are just down the road from where we live (Shoney’s, Waffle House, Bojangles, Cookout...). Wish I could send them a package of their faves!

can confirm i work at sonic now and never in my life have i had someone request this, and if they did i’d be speechless. they only secret menu item i know is the sunrise drink which is orange juice and cherry limemade (quite popular)

@@Potador_ Nah the surf and turf was a single item in the system. It was a double cheeseburger and a filet o fish. Both were normal. It has a half slice regardless if you want a full slice it costs extra. Coming from a former McDonald's employee

I moved to Cincinnati in my mid-20s, and learned that pretty much every restaurant has fried pickles here. They're just in the apps menu like mozzarella sticks and onion rings. I love pickles, so I was not disappointed about this. Also, NYPD Pizza (a local pizza chain), your fried pickles have sustained me through me than one first trimester of pregnancy and I salute you.

Peanut Butter DOES work on a burger. You have to get the right one, and bacon helps.
Unfortunately, the one place I had a delicious one didn't make it past the pandemic (Left Coast Kitchen 💙)

The only secret menu items I've encountered/experienced were:
1. Back in 2016, Pizza Hut (Ontario, Canada) had a limited time item that was a poutine pizza (Poutine-zza). A year later, it ended up being a secret menu item. Not sure if it still is now since 2017 was the last time I went.
2. At Tim Hortons, you can ask to mix chocolate milk with your drinks.

Yes! I get a chocolate milk-based Iced Capp all the time and it's soooo good. Plus, for some reason, chocolate milk doesn't activate my lactose intolerance as much as regular milk so it's a win-win for me!
The tims thing isn't really secret menu it's just a substitute we could do with any drink that has milk or cream, but as a former tims employee the cotton candy drink was an actual secret menu item, most didn't know how to make it tho and there's no button so we just charge for an ice cap but if I remember correctly it was cream, raspberry flavour, simple syrup and neutral base, I might be missing something but I made it myself when working there

I used to work at a sonic where multiple people would request a drink called a “purple orgasm” which was Powerade, lemonade, shot of cranberry, topped with sprite. Actually pretty good but weird having grown men ask teenage me for one of them 🤦♀️

When I was growing up Taco Bell (it was possibly Taco bueno, lol) used to have the choco taco. A desert taco with ice cream inside and the whole thing dipped in chocolate. It was phenomenal.

When I was young and I went to McDonald's reasonably often, I would order the double quarter pounder meal plus the fillet o'fish sandwich.
I’m not sure about other places but here in Ontario Canada we often have Taco Bell and KFC combined into one store, So you can do all kinds of special orders!!! 😆❤️🇨🇦 One I usually get is KFC Popcorn chicken in my Taco Bell tacos😊 and Taco Bell ground beef on my KFC Poutine!!😍

In the midwest the peanut butter back burger is called a Jiffy Burger and is often stuff with cheese and served with PB, bacon and a aoili or sauce that has some sort of jam in it that makes it sweet. SO good!
