I've worked at a movie theater for the last 8 years. I honestly don't care if you sneak in some food, just don't leave a bunch of takeout containers or cupholders filled with lettuce for us to clean up. If I don't know you brought it in at all, heck yes :)

Yeah... I also had a roommate who worked at a Harkins tell me that theater workers really like it when customers litter and that we should never put trash in the bins. Needless to say, he was also an a$$hole.

I once took a full roast dinner into a movie theatre for myself and 6 other people on a dare because none of us thought I'd be able to get in with it. I have no clue how we managed it but I swear it's still the funniest thing I've ever done.

I worked in a movie theater, and the weirdest thing I saw someone sneak in was CORN ON THE COB. They left the decimated cobs in their popcorn bucket for us to clean up!!

When it comes to the coffee: This is actually perfect for the dietary restrictions claim. They can't verify what you put in your coffee, if it was some special milk or something, and when it's just one item it's simpler to just say "alright I guess" instead of worrying about a coffee

I keep testing my limits when I go to a movie with my cousin. Snuck in a whole ass hot pizza and Buffalo Wild Wings meals in along with many other snacks. For us it’s part of the experience bc it makes it fun
Yall need to do a best Easter candy contest. They have these "Bunny Tail" whoppers that are a vanilla cream coating instead of the regular chocolate and they are definitely one of the best candies I've ever had
For Valentine’s Day years ago, my best friend and I went to watch Deadpool, we ordered a heart shaped pizza, put it in sandwich baggies and put that in our purses with our Starbucks and brought it in 😂🤷🏻♀️

Whenever I go to the movies I usually go to theaters in the mall, that way you can get some food at the food court then go to the theater. The theater I go to has a Dave & Buster right next to it in the mall, so I order a Mega size Soft pretzel and keep it in large sliding ziplocks in my bag. Way better than the theater food, and it's surprisingly more quiet than movie snacks also. So much fun!

I work at a movie theater and I was cleaning a theater after a Fast and Furious showing, and there was an order of crab legs left on someone's seat (half-finished btw).
I’ve brought in a panda bowl, popcorn, m&ms, Starbucks, and misc. snacks as a teenager. I lived by a restaurant theater after college and that was fantastic! I haven’t been to a movie in a while but I’m now actually on a restricted diet so I would genuinely just bring my own stuff and call ahead.

I once brought Taco Bell into the theater with me, and didn't realize until I got in, but it was all pretty burnt. The theater just smelled like burnt Taco Bell as soon as you walked in. 🥴

My sister took me to a movie for my birthday and we stopped for taco bell first. The taco bell toom forever so we put it in our pockets and purses, put candy in our bras, and that's how you successfully sneak food into the movies.

I worked at an AMC once upon a time & we definitely do not have popcorn vacuums 😂 we have to sweep the entire theatre in like 5 mins before running to the next theatre to make sure it’s clean before the next movie starts.

I've taken my own food to every movie theater I've ever been to since the 90s.
Mostly because the food at the theaters are way overpriced. But sometimes I can't pass up a nice n large bucket of popcorn.

Regarding taking one's own snacks in, I can relate and testify to this due to dietary restrictions due to allergies or medical issues. This is always the case for me ever since I was diagnosed Type 1 diabetic at age 12yrs.

last thing i snuck into a movie-theater, this being the semi-recent reboot(?) of the Jumanji-movie; i had a whole medium-sized paper bag of purchases i'd done before the movie started, so i had a full amount of stuff brought in and i don't think anyone neither checked nor cared; the snack i brought was a very heavy chocolate cake, and a red velvet cheesecake i'd bought from a bakery before heading to the theater. i also had two bottles of flavored water.

I love that Alamo Drafthouse offers actual food, but I had to sit next to someone who ordered the world's most pungent salad during The Hobbit and the waiter never came to pick up the dish so I had to manage NOT throwing up for like THREE HOURS.
