- Paul in his second letter to Timothy says that he himself has 'fought the good fight and finished the race and kept the faith' (2 Tim. 4:7). If we want to finish the race and keep the faith, we also need to fight the good fight. Which, according to Bible teacher Derek Prince is a 'test of character'.

FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. For 40 years the children of Israel wondered around the desert in the shape of a cross.in the centre of the cross was Gods word, the word made flesh and an altar.
