- Follow up to my first video of my 2017 Jeep grand cherokee with quadra-lift suspension. I cut the factory quadra-lift suspension rods. The slightly shorter rods provide a 1/2 inch lift to the normal ride height. My only cost was metal glue.
Looks good. Thank you for the video.
How does the car handle Aero mode?
Did you replace the OEM air suspension with something else also?
Thanks for taking the time to share!
What lengths, front and rear, did you find best for the links versus ride quality? Tks.
Thanks for this vid how is it holding up have you had any issues since doing this
So far so good. I went offroad last week and everything worked perfectly.
Questions both raised modes were not affected? And question two how short could you possibly go on the rod to lift it higher without over airing the bags?
All I did was raise it from the lowest setting 1/2" You can raise it more but you will lose the ability to lower and if you cut too much the height could get maxed out. Meaning you would essentially always be in off road 2 mode. From what I understand you can't go past the max off road 2 (you won't over air). In offroad 2 the suspension is stiff.
So this is not an issue when driving off road (strength integrity?) or when on highway speeds and the computer puts you in the “aero” mode?
I haven't had any issues. I've done some pretty aggressive off road trails. Aero mode kicks in on the hwy and no rubbing. Only time it gets close is in park mode and I turned that off.
Hey Deny - Question for you. I just replaced my factory links with AirLinks leveling kit. I have a 2017 JGC Overland and my factory links look just like the ones your showing in your video. When I've seen other videos replacing these out, the factory links look very different. They're more of a S shape rather than these straight links. Just looking for a little confirmation here that the black rods showing here were indeed stock?
Hey Paul. I've seen those videos as well. I think some older models. I was surprised to see mime were straight which made it much easier. Hopefully yours are too. Cheers
Mine were straight like this as well! I was questioning myself if the previous owner had already set up some type of leveling system. Great to see here and thank you for the input!
Just so you know, 2011-2015 are curved and 2016+ are straight
Nice! What tires and rims you have? I really like them!
Check out the description in my other video. I tried to copy paste but it wouldn't let me. I know the wheels are mayhem and the tires are by atturo.

You removed the front fascia? I think I'll need to do the same but don't think it looks very good...will have to get a Chief Products lower front guard and protection plate to cover it.
I’m on Chief Products team as one of their ambassadors. Take a look at my CZcams post for this lower front guard and check out my IG for my Jeep pics incase you want one of these @lucasscottphotography I can answer any questions you may have about their gear
I’m about to start my 2014 grand Cherokee build and I’m looking at wheels that will be the same -12 offset.. is there any issues with splashing or extra dirt with the wheels being out from the fender a bit?
Not really. Maybe a little more. You can get fender flares. I tried a set but they didn't fit correctly and haven't tried another set.
Thanks for getting back to me. Eh if it’s not an issue for you then it should be fine for me. I do have a 2014, so it’s the sorta “S” shape links. Air links.com should have the ones I need I’m guessing?
@@kayw1230 should be similar enough.
My rear bags won’t lower, do u think it could be the height sensors?
It's probably the sensor. I would get that checked immediately.
Deny I think it’s the control module because now the front is in exit mode and not lifting up, the compressor is kicking in and there are no leaks with the soapy solution I used on the connections so I think it’s the module! Thanks for the help
@@soniccash1up that sucks. Prob a more expensive part to replace.
Hello! What size are your tires?
Wheels are 18X9, -12 offset (www.mayhemwheels.com/8040-black-milled) wrapped with Atturo trail blade XT 285/60 R18 Hybrid tires.
Thanks for sharing, What size tires do you have?
Check out my first video czcams.com/video/-pVuAi9Ovmg/video.html
18X9, wrapped with Atturo trail blade XT 285/60 R18 Hybrid tires. Thanks 😊
what about rubbing during compression, bumps, off road etc
I haven't had rubbing since I fixed this. Even during some pretty extreme off-roading.
@@deny5172 Thank you. I just upsized to moron size and it's drivable but I think when I hit the trails, i'm really gonna hit them. So I ordered the ready made links to help offset my stupidity.
