I don't remember this in my younger days.
The students didn't talk at all. They also didn't interact with their fellow students in the same group, or not?
Individual studies...
Some do this some don't.
It is a good idea to encourage the students to cooperate, discuss the different opinions, get feedbuck from the teacher and give an answer to the task as a group to the whole class.
Its really good..but i'd be marked down for too much teacher talk time..😬 Since its an ESL lesson
