CTV News is Canada's most-watched news organization both locally and nationally, and has a network of national, international, and local news operations.
There's no value any Canadian participation can bring! Our subs ( thank you Johnny the Cretin) haven't been operational since we bought them from the British!
Are whole military is a joke equipment wise, but the few men and woman we have are great.
We can't be in it because of our dum prime minister not hard to figure
Because they heard Anand say the current liberal/ndp regime weren't going to spend money on our Navy?
If you don't pay you don't play.
What will canada do with Nuclear submarine. Make it self identify as a frigate ?
Once again, Canada is relegated to sitting on the porch and isn't asked to run with the big dogs. I guess you have to pay to play.
Canada can be a member of AUKUS, if Canada joins the UK.
NOBODY trusts sparkle socks not to talk to xi pingpong
When there is no patriotism, there is no inducement of spending on military neither. The feeling of inferiority complex could’ve been cured by the right politicians…
The focus is NOT soley on Nuke Subs, that's crap. It's on undersea tech, communications tech, hypersonics - which is already and has been active for about 12 years and MUCH MUCH more.
Does Canada even have submarines or a naval fleet?
Is Canada being fronted at SCS and yet also being kept down with AUKUS? 🤔
Yes, we have 4 old British diesel subs.1 still works, 1 caught fire and was decommissioned, the other 2 were also decommissioned.
@@dwight4626now thats disinformation.
@@dwight4626 hey,, its military secrets ,, USA is in charge of Australia now,,,.talking about state secrets is illegal even at pease,
The Canadians lead on international deployments? When? Where" I am sorry but I can't genuinnely accept the concept of Canadian military excellence.
Canada simply does not spend enough on defence.
There is a complete set of tri-lateral government legislative arrangements underpinning the AUKUS agreement. It’s not a simple case of asking to join at this point.
Many of Canadians speak French .
The Trudeau mouse roaring doesn't impress anybody.
Because it is part French
As a Brit you'd be welcome, if the current PM was kicked out, especially if Trump is elected.
because we have no nuclear subs.
CAUKUS!
We are slowly - too slowly for my taste - ratcheting up our defence spending, we like Sweden should and sometimes do specialize in certain mission types, and we likely have no military desire to build and deploy the most expensive of assets when our closest ally has the biggest of these. If we have 100 billion new dollars, I assume we will likely put it into Arctic, training, new air power, and cyber.
SUKAUS!
Mhhhmmmm i wonder why 😂
🐼
You don't pay then you don't play, as simple as that.
Because we’re freeloaders!
there is no need for AUKUS
I know instead it should be CAUKUS.
If any country needs nuclear powered subs, it is Canada.
