The Astronomicon being a weapon/beacon makes a lot of sense. Because that’s kinda how Sonar works. At low levels, it’s good for reconnaissance At high levels, it can explode you from the inside out.
Yea, i jusr recently saw something on sonar. Like it was passively ln near divers cleaning it and it scrambled em up so bad they were in hospital for months and were bleeding from every orifice! That was PASSIVE.

Them trying to escape their brains, Essentially being vibrated into liquid, and surfacing too fast. Giving them the cetacean version of "the bends" along with being super disoriented.

We already have the lore about the effect of it in the Warp. The worlds shined by it in the Warp are call "Bright Worlds" by the humans inside the warp, i think. Daemons couldn't exist there.
Big E should have just told the Primarchs that He is gonna totally stabilize the Imperial government at Terra with His best buddy Malcador and not just ghosted everyone in the Great Crusade.

If I’m not mistaken, the Emperor felt like he had a time crunch from the moment he reconquered Terra. Malcador himself states that the reason was unknown, and that slowing down would have been preferable… But even the Sigilite didn’t know the reason for the rush. They will probably never explain it, either, since a good mystery is fun
Big E has foresight better than most, but no foresight in 40k is perfect. There could be many scenarios he was trying to prevent, some of which were probably avoided and we'll never know about them.
There's some suggestion that he didn't bring in the Primarchs not because he feared Chaos finding out about what he was doing, I think he assumed the Chaos Gods already knew, but that he was worried about other factions in the Imperium finding out. As bad as the Horus Heresy was the Navigators finding out they were being made obsolete and for lack of a better term "going on strike" was far far worse for humanity and the Imperium.
Video idea: Specialist Chaplains of various chapters and why they exist? Examples would be like how Wolf Priests are chaplains/apothecaries because of how unstable their gene seed is or how Storm Seers are chaplain/librarians for cultural reasons.
Firstly ignoring the toxic guy above me there just isn't much lore on the the tau auxiliaries there's the Kroot and the Vespids but most other tau auxiliaries have at max a line of lore about them. The only other 2 xenos in the Tau I've heard significant lore for are the Galgs and the dog soilders
Imagine the forces of chaos and xenos and the Imperium bitterly allying against the new assaulting wave of Andromeda's hostile attacking denizens, maybe a main Tyranid host presence backed by some alternate version of Andromeda's chaos/immaterium. The remaining Primarchs and Daemon princes leading their respective forces to counter offense the crumbling edges of the Milky way's arms.
@@juliane.mfarias9285 We could very easily get forces of warp, some Xenos and the imperium allying, maybe even a lot of chaos/traitor space marines - it has happened on multiple occasions in the lore. Now with someone who wouldn't get executed for heresy for allying with Xenos and respected by them in charge - and ultimately even the Chaos Gods want to keep status quo - not to get most of their worshippers killed or converted, it would be no biggie, they would just strike a truce again and instead of focusing on the Great Game they would be protecting their flock for some time.

I don’t know, even if the Big E was able to follow through with his plan there could still be the issue with Tyranids and Necrons to still give us the endless war, plus The Ghoul Stats threat and someone possibly tripping on the power cord to Trazyn’s museum letting everything out. May not possibly be as grimdark as the current setting but definitely grim if it was handled properly.
The Emperor fella, to me, like the dad that has a bunch of kids to help run his business, but is so busy running it that he has no time for them and gets angry when they want time with him. Over time, it just makes everyone resentful of the whole deal.

I understand the Emperor not telling his sons. He had basically just started with the project and their roles would not even be close until possibly years in advance after the Galaxy had been brought to balance under Humanity. In the meantime, the constraints that were placed on the Crusade were still getting tighter, and it wouldn’t have been long before Chaos caught whispers of it. It was a hail mary play that could have worked had his sons been wiser.
I would love an AU where the Imperium of Man destroys Chaos as you mention, but it costs the Big E his life to do it, and he knew it would going in. His sons try to help guide and support humanity in this Chaosless, Emperorless future and for a time it sorta works. Then the Necrons start to awaken, the Tyranids begin to arrive and that brotherhood of Primarchs begin to fracture a bit as they are forced to face these new crisis after thousands of years of relative calm.
I think the Emperor just got used to doing things Alone, or in covert. Shouldering everything with Malcador or the Custode. And as such, he tried to do this alone too, but it scaled over him. It was just too big.
Do you guys think that the Emperor after killing Chaos Gods would retire to some cozy farm and let humanity rule themselves like in the Dark Age of Technology?
Malcador said that the Emperor was so laser focused on his ultimate goal, that he didn't really bother too much with the lesser stuff. That was what Malcador handled. So it could well be that he didn't really have any plans for what he was going to do if Chaos was defeated. He almost certainly did not want to continue ruling humanity. It's thought that Sanguinious's ultimate purpose was to take the Emperors place on the throne. But who knows? Maybe once the Chaos gods were destroyed, he planned on shacking up in Slaanesh's palace with a big-titty Eldar waifu goddess. I'm sure the one being tortured by Nurgle would be very grateful.
So for the Theory that he got 20 minor Warp Gods for the Primarch. Malcador said he wasnt the Emperor until he met him and that he had changed (and got x times stronger) after he came back from the Portal on Molech. Now the Question: Did he take one for himself? He was a Perpetual and super powerful Psycher before but fusing with a Warp God/Entity is what maid him into the Big E
I would really love to see some more major minis guards man stuff. Particularly a Lucifer Black line because it's a shame we don't have the elites human version of the Custodes on the table top.

Sanguinius: Being the holy beacon of humanity(second to the Emperor) 10. Ferrus Manus: Similar to Perturabo 12. Angron: either have perturabo have a look and learn what the butcher's nails are and how to take them off or send him off to tell the Eldar to get the fuck off the Emperor's lawn. 13. Roboute Guilliman: Handling the Imperium( As he is with the current setting) 14. Mortarion: Keeping an eye on the eye of terror 15. Magnus: Helping the Emperor with the Webway expansion 16. Horus Lupercal: Similar to Guilliman 17. Lorgar Aurelian: Also helping the Emperor with the webway expansion 18. Vulkan: Similar to Perturabo 19. Corvus Corax:????? 20. When Vulcan sees the Emperor's Webway Project he thinks that it would NOT have actually worked. He does think that he and Magnus working together would have done a better job than the Emperor and the Techpriests, but he concluded that he and Magnus would have still failed. That the project was doomed from the start.

ok. So the webway gate on Terra was made by the emporer? I had always thought one existed there forever. Put there by the Old Ones, for some reason, and that was why the big E put his palace there..
All the emperor had to do was take all of his sons, sit them all down, and for once in his life show an ounce of humanity. tell them he failed them by letting them be taken, apologize for the torments they endured in their upbringing, explain to them the situation. The emperor had little to no trust in his sons, and to be honest out of all his flaws that may have been his greatest undoing.
Think he won't and can't do those things is, he doesn't see them as sons but tools. He saw them as tools that needed to obey hi's command at all cost or it will get destroyed.
That is cringe and very feminine behavior. Imagine a giant emperor warlord sitting down with other transhuman soldiers and talking about their feelings and crying and hugging. Then finally finishing it by singing a campfire song with all of them. Extremely cringe.
The astronomicon presence is pretty strong even before the great rift. I remember someone on the w40k lore reddit mentioning that the areas of the warp that are closer to the astronomicon's light are actually demon free due to how cleansing it is. So a mega charged astronomicon to cleanse huge parts of the warp is not such a crazy idea.
The emperor would have told him, no way he wouldn't have since Magnus was literally made to sit on the golden throne. Big E just took way too long to do so.

Tbh, the lore gives mankind 3 other FTL options outside Warp without touching Eldar and Necron tech. Though they depend on interpretation of lore. 1)copy Tau method how they copied imperial one. But do it properly and still use Geller fields. It's slow and pointless on interstellar distances, but it'll give you the best intersolar speeds. As for interstelllar... 2)Tyranid "hook&reel". It's described as a way to use known stellar objects as anchors and drag yourself towards them. Doesn't work near said objects so use in combo with drive from point above when you're entering system border. It also causes heavy damage to planets themselves when hive fleet drags its mass through space by hooking to your planet. So hook to stars instead. They're so massive that influence of your 20km at best ship will not be noticed at all. This drive is also the only known intergallactic drive in the setting. And it does so without Warp or exotic energy sources. Needs to capture those tyranid ships for study though. And finally, number 3... do you like Mass Effect? In some interpretations Imperial Nova cannon uses gravity manipulation tech to shoot projectiles at higher then FTL speeds(hence how it can strike first against lance ie laser equipped ships). You will never build and power a cannon big enough to fire a whole starship in 40k, BUT you can fire messages. To have constant reliable FTL communications network. Hope Jaghatai returns with one of those.
I think that given the details we now know of the webway project, the endgame of 40k will involve some sort of activation of the golden throne webway project. I can totally see Big E going out by killing the chaos gods.

It surprises me that the Emperor was so friendly towards the eldar. I mean it was the eldar who triggered the age of strife with their decadence. Their destruction should have been a priority given the horrors they unleashed.
What if? The Big E explained at least a part of his plan to the (leaders of the) Aeldari and promised that Slaneesh would be his target number one. The Eldar help with the Webway and their help is very useful as they are experts in that and their help frees up some of the effort the Emperor has to put into it. So with less distractions and more allies he doesn't screw it up and Slaneesh is blasted to oblivion, which is the point where the Big E has to tell the Eldar to not worship him. He will however accept a grateful high five from the now freed Eldar Gods. There's now a very solid peace treaty between Humanity and the Aeldari, and together they set about the tasks of finishing off Chaos. The Eldar are totally cool with Humanity using the Webway because they are grateful for their own Liberation from the eternal threat of Slaneesh and the restoration of their own Gods. And they understood the necessity of it in taking out all of Chaos, and that it's ultimately for the benefit of the Aeldari as well. What happens after? The Emperor with the Primarchs ect are seriously powerful, and the Eldar will want to keep the peace with them. So they might team up to take down other mutual annoyances .... such as the Drukhari. There may be no Tyranids heading to the Galaxy without the Astronomican acting as a beacon - unless it's use as a weapon also works as a lure. But could the Warp beam also do a number on the Nids? But if there's no Nids the Imperium and Aeldari may team up to deal with the Ork menace, the question is could that work or will they inevitably just make the Orks stronger. And then there's the Necrons... how would they react to the Big E?
I’d like to see a “what if?” Video based on whether or not the writers actually decide to pick up the Valdor/Russ storyline about trying to resurrect the Emperor. I wonder what would happen to the setting? A Great crusade 2: Xenocide Boogaoo? Maybe you can give us your perspective.

It's interesting to think about how much better off Big E's plan would have been had he included the Primarch's. Vulkan and Magnus working on the webway. Dorn and Perturabo building up the imperial defenses around it together. If he had explained the evil of Chaos to Lorgar, I feel like Lorgar would have been his champion at stamping out their worship. The only thing a religious zealot loves more than a head pat from God is killing God's enemies. Honestly, if I was Big E, I would have put the whole crusade on pause and brought all the Primarchs to Terra for this. With the Webway project completed they could resume the Crusade at an even greater pace than prior. It also would have gave him a chance to check in his sons/weapons give them any diagnostics and what not needed to keep them towing the line.
Maybe it’s addressed in this video, I just don’t have time at this moment. Why didn’t the emperor finish his conquest personally instead of hide away to finish the webway project? If he knew whichever son led the conquest would fall to corruption, wouldn’t it have made the most sense to finish it himself? Unless he would then fall to corruption. At that point, one primarch seems like a good deal from a pragmatic view.

My personal theory is that the Imperium will get a certain level of access to the Webway, maybe even taking Commoragh or parts of it at least. We know Jaghatai is somewhere in the Webway, presumably hunting Asdrubael Vect. Commoragh is currently in chaos, with the Ynnari and the Drukhari openly fighting over its control. It would be a good time for Jaghatai to strike -- if indeed that is what he's been doing for the last 10,000 years.
Interestingly, going by this video's mention of how alien species corrupted by chaos would have needed to be purged, the Tau and their weak souls probably could have passed the Imperial Muster. Y'know, as long as the Ethereals aren't actually the Enslavers or something

Like what if the emperor ruled mankind with the philosphophy of the greater good or what if the Tau were around as old as humanity (or maybe like 2000 or so years younger because of the rate at which they develop) and then the emp made a alliance with the tau. Maybe pre emperor humanity made a alliance with them and then the tau fell apart with humanity after the AI revolution than the emperor swoped in and fixed both or maybe just humanity and left the tau to die. That sounds like something fun to think about.
Im really liking these little tid-bits of lore majorkill brings up where the primarchs openly talk about how flawed some of the Big E’s plans were. Like how the khan saw through the the emperors bullshit and the emperor knew he saw through it, or how Vulcan remarked that he and Magnus could have done a better job of the webway than what he was doing. I get the fact that the Big E made the primarchs as generals first and foremost for the crusade while also adding in certain roles for them but to me the big E…didn’t really use their roles. Like with how amazing Guilliman is now with his plannings and logistics, why didn’t the emperor use him more like that in the great crusade, or keep Magnus in terra to help train psykers? The emperor had all of his tools, but he didn’t use them. (This came out in a rush, so I might alter it later, but these were my general thoughts)

They most likely had warp beacons at key locations and A.I. mind-linked to the navigators. The A.I would do the actual navigating, while the human navigators acted like some form of warp sonar.
10:10 so maybe video about alternate timeline where everything went perfect. And how that supercharged imperium would fight Tyranids (lets say Hivemind saw the superlaser Astronomicon) and Necrons.

Since nobody asked about My shitty, amateur take on the Primarch souls, I figured I’d share it here… They are the archetypes of our myths given flesh. They each have traits from different heroes and different ages but each one is unique and based in large part upon different personalities from our history and fictions. Yeah. I know, it was obvious. The Primarchs are the 40K version of the Staypuft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters.
Video on "what would happen if the scheme to unthrone the emperor succeeded?" would he resurrect or would he die permanently what would transpire further?
As a perpetual he should respawn. However, as soon as he stopped powering the throne two things would happen: the Web way portal would open, allowing chaos to flood Terra with daemons and totally destroy it. The other is Vulkan's WMD would explode and destroy Terra (Terra still gone but if denies chaos the victory). Not sure what would then happen to big E as He would die again and He can't respawn on a planet that's not there.
I think a being like Big E wouldn't make a mistake like that, he's a very complex and extremely powerful being to commit something like that, but he did it all purposefully and rationally. In the end the darkest strategy on his mind was to become a god and I think he's close to that. Perhaps in the great crusade or much later when he rescued his primarch children he foresaw and visualized in the future that this choice and this means would not work but would destroy and end the entire galaxy or something much worse, so death on the throne would be the final card and I find this very interesting.

If I’m not mistaken, the Emperor felt like he had a time crunch from the moment he reconquered Terra. Malcador himself states that the reason was unknown, and that slowing down would have been preferable… But even the Sigilite didn’t know the reason for the rush.

Big E has foresight better than most, but no foresight in 40k is perfect. There could be many scenarios he was trying to prevent, some of which were probably avoided and we'll never know about them.

There's some suggestion that he didn't bring in the Primarchs not because he feared Chaos finding out about what he was doing, I think he assumed the Chaos Gods already knew, but that he was worried about other factions in the Imperium finding out. As bad as the Horus Heresy was the Navigators finding out they were being made obsolete and for lack of a better term "going on strike" was far far worse for humanity and the Imperium.
Video idea: Specialist Chaplains of various chapters and why they exist? Examples would be like how Wolf Priests are chaplains/apothecaries because of how unstable their gene seed is or how Storm Seers are chaplain/librarians for cultural reasons.

Firstly ignoring the toxic guy above me there just isn't much lore on the the tau auxiliaries there's the Kroot and the Vespids but most other tau auxiliaries have at max a line of lore about them. The only other 2 xenos in the Tau I've heard significant lore for are the Galgs and the dog soilders

Imagine the forces of chaos and xenos and the Imperium bitterly allying against the new assaulting wave of Andromeda's hostile attacking denizens, maybe a main Tyranid host presence backed by some alternate version of Andromeda's chaos/immaterium. The remaining Primarchs and Daemon princes leading their respective forces to counter offense the crumbling edges of the Milky way's arms.

Now with someone who wouldn't get executed for heresy for allying with Xenos and respected by them in charge - and ultimately even the Chaos Gods want to keep status quo - not to get most of their worshippers killed or converted, it would be no biggie, they would just strike a truce again and instead of focusing on the Great Game they would be protecting their flock for some time.

The Emperor fella, to me, like the dad that has a bunch of kids to help run his business, but is so busy running it that he has no time for them and gets angry when they want time with him. Over time, it just makes everyone resentful of the whole deal.

I understand the Emperor not telling his sons. He had basically just started with the project and their roles would not even be close until possibly years in advance after the Galaxy had been brought to balance under Humanity.
In the meantime, the constraints that were placed on the Crusade were still getting tighter, and it wouldn’t have been long before Chaos caught whispers of it.
It was a hail mary play that could have worked had his sons been wiser.
I would love an AU where the Imperium of Man destroys Chaos as you mention, but it costs the Big E his life to do it, and he knew it would going in. His sons try to help guide and support humanity in this Chaosless, Emperorless future and for a time it sorta works. Then the Necrons start to awaken, the Tyranids begin to arrive and that brotherhood of Primarchs begin to fracture a bit as they are forced to face these new crisis after thousands of years of relative calm.

I think the Emperor just got used to doing things Alone, or in covert. Shouldering everything with Malcador or the Custode. And as such, he tried to do this alone too, but it scaled over him. It was just too big.

Malcador said that the Emperor was so laser focused on his ultimate goal, that he didn't really bother too much with the lesser stuff. That was what Malcador handled. So it could well be that he didn't really have any plans for what he was going to do if Chaos was defeated. He almost certainly did not want to continue ruling humanity. It's thought that Sanguinious's ultimate purpose was to take the Emperors place on the throne.
But who knows? Maybe once the Chaos gods were destroyed, he planned on shacking up in Slaanesh's palace with a big-titty Eldar waifu goddess. I'm sure the one being tortured by Nurgle would be very grateful.

9. Sanguinius: Being the holy beacon of humanity(second to the Emperor)

12. Angron: either have perturabo have a look and learn what the butcher's nails are and how to take them off or send him off to tell the Eldar to get the fuck off the Emperor's lawn.

When Vulcan sees the Emperor's Webway Project he thinks that it would NOT have actually worked. He does think that he and Magnus working together would have done a better job than the Emperor and the Techpriests, but he concluded that he and Magnus would have still failed. All the emperor had to do was take all of his sons, sit them all down, and for once in his life show an ounce of humanity. tell them he failed them by letting them be taken, apologize for the torments they endured in their upbringing, explain to them the situation. The emperor had little to no trust in his sons, and to be honest out of all his flaws that may have been his greatest undoing.

The astronomicon presence is pretty strong even before the great rift. I remember someone on the w40k lore reddit mentioning that the areas of the warp that are closer to the astronomicon's light are actually demon free due to how cleansing it is. So a mega charged astronomicon to cleanse huge parts of the warp is not such a crazy idea.

Tbh, the lore gives mankind 3 other FTL options outside Warp without touching Eldar and Necron tech. Though they depend on interpretation of lore.
1)copy Tau method how they copied imperial one. But do it properly and still use Geller fields. It's slow and pointless on interstellar distances, but it'll give you the best intersolar speeds. As for interstelllar...
2)Tyranid "hook&reel". It's described as a way to use known stellar objects as anchors and drag yourself towards them. Doesn't work near said objects so use in combo with drive from point above when you're entering system border. It also causes heavy damage to planets themselves when hive fleet drags its mass through space by hooking to your planet. So hook to stars instead. They're so massive that influence of your 20km at best ship will not be noticed at all. This drive is also the only known intergallactic drive in the setting. And it does so without Warp or exotic energy sources. Needs to capture those tyranid ships for study though.
And finally, number 3... do you like Mass Effect? In some interpretations Imperial Nova cannon uses gravity manipulation tech to shoot projectiles at higher then FTL speeds(hence how it can strike first against lance ie laser equipped ships). You will never build and power a cannon big enough to fire a whole starship in 40k, BUT you can fire messages. To have constant reliable FTL communications network.
Hope Jaghatai returns with one of those.

I think that given the details we now know of the webway project, the endgame of 40k will involve some sort of activation of the golden throne webway project. I can totally see Big E going out by killing the chaos gods.

If the Emperor had told his primarchs about the webway project, do you think it would have changed the outcome? Or would Lorgar, sour from being humbled and having Monarchia destroyed, have told Erebus en Kor Pharos and together have instigated the heresy nevertheless?
It surprises me that the Emperor was so friendly towards the eldar. I mean it was the eldar who triggered the age of strife with their decadence. Their destruction should have been a priority given the horrors they unleashed.
No eldar means no webway tech to borrow, also he probably knows he needs them alive for his big tiddy waifu to not get crunched by slaanesh.
What if? The Big E explained at least a part of his plan to the (leaders of the) Aeldari and promised that Slaneesh would be his target number one.
The Eldar help with the Webway and their help is very useful as they are experts in that and their help frees up some of the effort the Emperor has to put into it.
So with less distractions and more allies he doesn't screw it up and Slaneesh is blasted to oblivion, which is the point where the Big E has to tell the Eldar to not worship him. He will however accept a grateful high five from the now freed Eldar Gods.
There's now a very solid peace treaty between Humanity and the Aeldari, and together they set about the tasks of finishing off Chaos.
The Eldar are totally cool with Humanity using the Webway because they are grateful for their own Liberation from the eternal threat of Slaneesh and the restoration of their own Gods. And they understood the necessity of it in taking out all of Chaos, and that it's ultimately for the benefit of the Aeldari as well.
What happens after?
The Emperor with the Primarchs ect are seriously powerful, and the Eldar will want to keep the peace with them. So they might team up to take down other mutual annoyances .... such as the Drukhari.
There may be no Tyranids heading to the Galaxy without the Astronomican acting as a beacon - unless it's use as a weapon also works as a lure. But could the Warp beam also do a number on the Nids?
But if there's no Nids the Imperium and Aeldari may team up to deal with the Ork menace, the question is could that work or will they inevitably just make the Orks stronger.
And then there's the Necrons... how would they react to the Big E?

It's interesting to think about how much better off Big E's plan would have been had he included the Primarch's. Vulkan and Magnus working on the webway. Dorn and Perturabo building up the imperial defenses around it together. If he had explained the evil of Chaos to Lorgar, I feel like Lorgar would have been his champion at stamping out their worship. The only thing a religious zealot loves more than a head pat from God is killing God's enemies.
Honestly, if I was Big E, I would have put the whole crusade on pause and brought all the Primarchs to Terra for this. With the Webway project completed they could resume the Crusade at an even greater pace than prior. It also would have gave him a chance to check in his sons/weapons give them any diagnostics and what not needed to keep them towing the line.

Maybe it’s addressed in this video, I just don’t have time at this moment. Why didn’t the emperor finish his conquest personally instead of hide away to finish the webway project? If he knew whichever son led the conquest would fall to corruption, wouldn’t it have made the most sense to finish it himself? Unless he would then fall to corruption. At that point, one primarch seems like a good deal from a pragmatic view.

My personal theory is that the Imperium will get a certain level of access to the Webway, maybe even taking Commoragh or parts of it at least. We know Jaghatai is somewhere in the Webway, presumably hunting Asdrubael Vect. Commoragh is currently in chaos, with the Ynnari and the Drukhari openly fighting over its control. It would be a good time for Jaghatai to strike -- if indeed that is what he's been doing for the last 10,000 years.

Like what if the emperor ruled mankind with the philosphophy of the greater good or what if the Tau were around as old as humanity (or maybe like 2000 or so years younger because of the rate at which they develop) and then the emp made a alliance with the tau.
Maybe pre emperor humanity made a alliance with them and then the tau fell apart with humanity after the AI revolution than the emperor swoped in and fixed both or maybe just humanity and left the tau to die.
That sounds like something fun to think about.

Im really liking these little tid-bits of lore majorkill brings up where the primarchs openly talk about how flawed some of the Big E’s plans were. Like how the khan saw through the the emperors bullshit and the emperor knew he saw through it, or how Vulcan remarked that he and Magnus could have done a better job of the webway than what he was doing.
I get the fact that the Big E made the primarchs as generals first and foremost for the crusade while also adding in certain roles for them but to me the big E…didn’t really use their roles. Like with how amazing Guilliman is now with his plannings and logistics, why didn’t the emperor use him more like that in the great crusade, or keep Magnus in terra to help train psykers? The emperor had all of his tools, but he didn’t use them. (This came out in a rush, so I might alter it later, but these were my general thoughts)

They most likely had warp beacons at key locations and A.I. mind-linked to the navigators. The A.I would do the actual navigating, while the human navigators acted like some form of warp sonar.

I wish I could get majorminis but I am unfortunately a child who is about to be kidnapped by space marines and not some sector governor’s kid so Majorkill could I suggest seasonal minis, so minis like the Big E are time exclusive, what about season exclusive minis like Halloween minis or Christmas minis that come back every season before leaving the store again.

They are the archetypes of our myths given flesh.
They each have traits from different heroes and different ages but each one is unique and based in large part upon different personalities from our history and fictions.

As a perpetual he should respawn. However, as soon as he stopped powering the throne two things would happen: the Web way portal would open, allowing chaos to flood Terra with daemons and totally destroy it. The other is Vulkan's WMD would explode and destroy Terra (Terra still gone but if denies chaos the victory). Not sure what would then happen to big E as He would die again and He can't respawn on a planet that's not there.

I think a being like Big E wouldn't make a mistake like that, he's a very complex and extremely powerful being to commit something like that, but he did it all purposefully and rationally.
In the end the darkest strategy on his mind was to become a god and I think he's close to that.
Perhaps in the great crusade or much later when he rescued his primarch children he foresaw and visualized in the future that this choice and this means would not work but would destroy and end the entire galaxy or something much worse, so death on the throne would be the final card and I find this very interesting.
