Proper Virgin olive oil comes from the first pressing of the olives. Lower grades come from second and third pressings, to get the very last out. It doesn't mean much anymore as mechanical extraction means they get a vast majority of the oil out in the first pressing anyway, but it used to mean something when it was done by hand.
It also indicates that the olives were picked and not gathered off the ground.

not exactly jackfruit. jackfruit is nangka here in malaysia. what's in the video is cempedak. something similar but the smell and taste is quite distinct. similar level of odour, less than durian.

The drink into the bag thing is from a spit fistula. This can be permanent if they have lost their esophagus, or it can be after a pull up of intestine of some kind to act as an esophagus. I'm a bit older than you two... My grandparents used to live in Downtown WA D.C. This was the early 1960's. When I went to visit, I would play in the alley with the neighborhood children who were black. I thought nothing of it. In 2018, I believe, I was flying back to Atlanta from LA. There was a hurricane blowing through Georgia that had come up through Florida. From the point we got on the plane, the pilot was saying that they were monitoring the weather, and we might have to be diverted. We were less than an hour out from Atlanta when they said they were going to make an attempt to land in Hartsfield, but might have to divert to Charlotte.
The cloud cover was super low. The plane was bouncing all over the place as it was coming down. When we finally broke could cover, you could see how much the wind was affecting the wings waggling up and down, and the plane was descending at an angle relative to the runway because of the direction of the wind. Everyone on the plane was dead silent. When we hit the runway, we bounced twice before settling in and decelerating. Yeah, folks clapped at that.
When I got into the airport, our plane was apparently the last one that was allowed to land until the storm finished blowing through. All of the public transportation (trains and busses) were all shut down. All the taxi cab companies had stopped taking passengers. Hartsfield is the busiest airport in the world with over 250,000 people passing through each day on average; it was a ghost town. I managed to find one Uber driver who was taking one last fare before going home, or I would have been stuck at the airport until the next day.

you've got it backwards. Virgin and extra virgin have been filtered and extra to remove the natural fats. That's why they're less flammable.

That preserves elements of the taste that can be changed by heat and doesn't corrupt it with outside flavors that can be introduced by adding chemicals. "Extra virgin" olive oil also has to pass strict standards for how much oxidization it's gone through (a fresher-pressed olive and a higher quality pressing means less exposure to air, so the taste is better and it keeps longer), acidity, etc. Think of it as "extra virgin" = really a virgin vs. "virgin" = virgin because she only does butt stuff. 😀
Also, it is sort of true to say it's virgin because it was never hot . . . but don't be mean.

Nah, that reaction was real, it wasn't as funny after that. I get it though, my first few vacations with my wife we both blowed up 😅 I gained 10 pounds in one week at an all inclusive in Mexico 😂 after that it was like, ok, just cause you can eat all you can eat doesn't mean you should.
