Just out of a private collection, Vanguard Motor Sales is pleased to offer this highly original, 3 owner, 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Fastback. This car was sold new at Ray Schultens Ford, Inc., The Dalles, OR, on June 30, 1970. The vehicle was delivered exactly as it is presented today: Medium Red Paint over White Rhino/Corinthian Vinyl Bucket Seats, G-Code Boss Engine, 4-Speed Close Ratio Transmission and Optional 3.91 Traction-Lok Rear Axle. The car came highly optioned including: Black Hood Stripe, Convenience Group, 15 inch Belted Tires with Raised White Letters, Shaker Hood Scoop, Sport Deck Rear Seat, Console, Power Steering, Tilt Steering Wheel, AM/8-Track Stereo Radio, Space Saver Spare, Heavy Duty Battery, Magnum 500 Chrome Wheels, and Factory Tachometer. This Boss has had 3 owners with the current owner / enthusiast owning the car for the last 19 years. In those 19 years, the car was properly stored, consistently maintained and driven on occasion. As a result, the car is fully sorted, turn-key and a complete thrill to drive. The quality of this car is apparent as it was invited and displayed at the world renowned Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI as part of their American Muscle Car History Display for 2013. Today, the car remains excellent, highly original and extremely factory correct. The car is fully documented by Marti Report and original owner manual and bears the signature of Boss Designer Larry Shinoda.

Know a guy that had a 70 Boss 302 and 429. Beat everything he raced with the 302. The best time he ever got out of the 429 was a 11 sec flat on Mickey thompson street slicks, Said the Boss 9 was the scariest car he ever drove , like steering a freaking rocket ship on wheels, was never beaten in the 429. The only thing that ever beat his 302 was a 70 440 6pk 4 spd challenger and it was,nt by more than a fender .When the race was over the mopar guy wanted to buy it. Said it was the fastest SB he ever raced.

Y 70 fastback had rear 2nd row fold down backseat it was great thing to have . Park under a shady tee after fishing take nice nap ( circa 1973)
Nice car I had a 1969 back in 1976 fund car to drive also very fast car the car was nice It was the rust color and black strips with locks on the hood back then the gas prices went up It was the big engine so I sold it to a friend. I would love to have now.

I had a 70' Cobra Jet and that damn chrome trim on the nose always fell off constantly not to mention the weekly repairs it needed but I still miss it & I regret ever selling it.
Never liked those LTD type steering wheels though.
Sweetest car I ever owned but they didn't like to start when cold....
