- This journal was created for my inspirational, fabulously artistic friend Wendy. And OK, maybe a bit for her feline marketing manager, Leo as well lol. What began as a few simple journal swaps has blossomed into a wonderful friendship for which I am most grateful. :-)

Hello Mrs. Cog. As a self taught artist, that didn't have a clue about journaling, this video is very inspiring. It helps me to understand how I should fill these thick journals that I had for years laying in a pile with a pile of artwork, writings and only God knows what in the pile with it! I am starting to like the tea and coffee stained paper realizing that it gives that antique, old look. I am starting to understand the whats and whys of journaling. Just know you are inspiring this woman (me, in Baltimore) and tyfs.
Liz, you and Wendy make such beautiful, thoughtful, personalized journals for one another! Love it! Love Rockwell and I have a huge book of some of his works, but they are so large and can't really be used in a journal without folding them, sadly. Exquisite journal! Oh my goodness , I don't even know where to start there are so many beautiful aspects of the journal and ( needle) . I watched your tutorial on the mini spools, but wow , I didn't image the impact they would make as a dangle!

Mrs.Cog this is a lovely journal for Wendy and Leo they willjust love it ... so many artists and lots of quotes you should be so proud of your work and oh yes making the small Wendy books is avery nice touch ! I hope when I get an area to journal create for me I can do a good job of them at least close to you girls do !

This is the most incredible Journal. I just watched Wendy blubbering through her happy mail. (I would blubber too, and have to stop the video). It is great to watch a slower page by page here. I want to make exceptional journals like you do. If I am going to put in the time, I want them to be special. I was very curious as to how you get your quotes on the pages, so I have purchased your Teddy Bear class. I also have a bunch of your digitals and love them all. The Journal that I am working on now is called The Explorers, and I want to start making videos in January - but I am very nervous! You are a true artist!

Oh my goodness! I LOVE this journal! I am so jealous that Wendy is getting this one!! Gosh I need to make one for myself !! Not nearly as great as yours is of course, but this is magnificent!! :-) A Question about the Wendy Journals - What paper did you print the Norman Rockwell paintings on ? That paper look so shiny!! :-) Gosh you put so much detail in all your journals it must take months !! :-) I just got done making a planner for a friend and that took a long time ! I am pooped lol Hope you have a great holiday !! :-)
Thank you Marianna! The Norman Rockwells are still under copyright so we can't copy or print any of them. Several times a year, Cog and I venture to the "big city" and hit the used book stores for copies of Norman Rockwell picture books. Those pages are somewhat shiny in some books. Copyright law does not stop us from using the images in a physical book we own, as long as we don't make any type of copy. Have a wonderful holiday season, hugs!! :-)
I love this. I am definitely going to try to recreate this, unless you would be interested in doing a commission? It would probably cost less to pay you then to buy everything myself. I have no supplies or experience but I've been trying out junk journaling and am loving it.

I was wondering how do you do your quotes and add them to your papers?
I use a Word program, turn the paper landscape oriented and then futz with the margins so the print will fall within the measurements of the pages once tea dyed and folded. :-)
The picture of the front cover did u put a sealant on it like modge podge. Another question is that photo printed on cloth or is it paper? This book is the most beautiful thing i have seen and well sewn and made.
Thank you. Neither modge podge or printed. The cover image was cut from a shiny book page in a Norman Rockwell picture book and then sewn onto the cover. :-)
That books looks so good. I have to invest in your tutorials. I used to buy them rockwell calemdars and throw them away. I give my self a nudge on the head i could scream at myself for doing so now and other calenders i used to get. I put u up top ten i watch all the time on youtube . just got into junk jourmals a few months back in making them. I always bought premade traveler notebook and plaster it like a smashbook but havent done so in so long until recently.
Do you sell your items? My daughter would love a Hogwarts mini journal.

@@MrsCog I saw you doing a flip through of them on your channel. My granddaughter said oh..mom would love one if them! I'm making her a hp quilt but I might have that done by her October birthday! Thought this would be a great fill in!! Thank you!
