Thank you Janie! I always think of you when I see that Rockwell image of the little girl holding up her doll. Have a wonderful holiday season, hugs! :-)
Your were talking about those reproductions of the old Christmas ornaments boxes bringing nostalgia ...I was in TJ Maxx the other day and they had new/reproduction ornaments in boxes made to look like the old ones by the same company. I remember the old boxes too...so was glad to see them again. They had them last year, too....so you might be able to find you a box of them if you still like them and would want some. I almost like the box as good as the ornaments.🎄
Thanks Rhon, great to know! :-)
Hmmmmm, these beauties have everything and more 🌲🎄❄️ 🎶 it’s starting to look a lot like Christmas 🎄🎼 🎵😍 TFS xxx K

Thank you Wendy darling! The only problem with making festive Christmas journals is my overwhelming urge to start holiday baking just after they are finished. And then I want to make recipe journals... if you give a mouse a cookie lol.... Big hugs!
Beautiful as ever Mrs. C ! Wonderful work, all the care and attention to detail shines through as always. Thankyou for showing them- they truly are keepsakes.

Positively amazing creations. Love them. I immediately ordered that fabric and black measure tape ribbon. (Ebay). Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful oh so Merry and sweet! I love the itty bitty ones of course, the micros are my fave, but these journals are beautiful Elizabeth, tfs!
Gorgeous journals .. I did make a litlle one. ! .I am learning to make those beauty.s!
These are so beautiful. I especially love the cover. Can you share where you bought the green fabric cover material?
Thank you Alice. The green material is like a thick upholstery type chenille. I found it on a remnants table at a county fabric store near our mountain. Check the "remnants" bins at Joann Fabrics if you are in the US. Usually they have small bundles of soft, thick materials that are wonderful for these types of covers. :-)
Beautiful journals!
Amazing as always!!! Your xmas jjs were what caught my eye when you first started. The creations are so magical!!
Absolutely love these journals. And oh your music made me so excited for christmas. Tfs sweetheart xxx
Gorgeous journals xxx
So cute! Working HARD to resist given that I have a stack of Christmas items that I purchased to make my own JJ. LOL!
I love how u put text and quotes into your journals, can u tell me how u do this?
Thank you! I print the quotes onto the paper with a laser printer then tea dye the sheets. My complete process for that is here: czcams.com/video/3kDRgZsAmy4/video.html
This is very beautiful. I will look out for the yard black ribbon for you. Im going to the craft stores tomorrow for some materials and i go look for it. I have a questions was that a stamp of the moose and the santa clauses on the pages or image transfer rub? I like that look. Just curious and anothsr curious question how much did you sell your beautiful book?
Thank you Pangeria. The B & W images are "digi stamps" or images printed onto the paper before tea dyeing. Some great sites for free images like these are www.oldbookillustrations.com/ and olddesignshop.com/ and thegraphicsfairy.com/
LOVE love the Christmas journals, great job. TFS Where did you say you got the Tim Holtz Christmas fabric?
Thank you Sharon. I have bought the fabric from several different Etsy stores. On Etsy search "Merriment fabric". Several shops offer fat quarters with an assortment of those prints. Other shops sell them by the yard in case you have a favorite one or two you're looking for. :-)
I found the black ribbon measuring tape. It’s on Etsy at CottageCraftsOnline. Only a few left in black if you want to order.
These journals are so very beautiful. Words do not describe them. You are so amazingly talented. Love everything about them. Beyond Awesome as always. Hugs! 🤗🎄🤗
Thank you so much Pam! Big hugs to you too!!
Mrs Cog I will check a few of my local stores that have ribbon too. Prices are cheaper at some of these stores but finding what you want is always the hard part!
Love your Christmas journal Hugs Bonnie
Oh my goodness! what a festive Christmas journal. Truly a masterpiece!! i think it was this video where you mentioned a specific paperclip, i believe you said it was inspired by someone named Traci....? i'm curious about it, is there a way i can find out more? thanks 😊
Thanks so much Jenny. I was referring to the amazingly talented Tracie Fox. Her tutorials are here: czcams.com/channels/jLC0B23K6TkMevsq5GwZmw.htmlvideos
@@MrsCog Thank you SO much! i watched it and subscribed to Tracie's channel. Such a simple way to jazz up a paper clip! Love it!! thanks for mentioning Tracie and showing her paper clip idea.
Cottage Crafts Online (black measureing tape) Etsy shop. Love the Christmas Journals ; very nicely done! Judy
You mentioned digi stamps as what you used on the corners of some pages. Is that an actual stamp?. I googled it and it seems to be a download. Im new to all this.
Hi Lindy, digital stamps, aka "digi stamps" are the nickname for black and white illustrations, often from old books or clipart, that we print onto pages. You can download free digi stamps as JPG files from a number of fabulous websites. I go to several listed below and search the name of my topic, such as "writing" then "books" "pens" "typewriters", etc or in this case "Christmas" and save each image after enlarging. Some of my favorite sites to begin looking are www.oldbookillustrations.com/ and olddesignshop.com/ and thegraphicsfairy.com/ . Then I try these gems: freevintagedigistamps.blogspot.com/ and digitaltuesday.blogspot.com/ and sweetlyscrappedart.blogspot.com/ There are many other great sites too. :-)
@@MrsCog thanks for that, but Im a bit confused. I thought that in the video you were referring to the nice stamp in the corner of the pages. Do you mean you downloaded the entire page with that already stamped in the corner ?. thanks for reply.
The images, including the scrolls in the page corners, are each a single picture (jpg) file. I put that image file onto a page in photoshop or even MS Word and then I laser print each page onto regular printer paper. After that, I tea dye the page with the image on it. There is more detail about what I do after the image is on my paper in my tea dye tutorial here. czcams.com/video/3kDRgZsAmy4/video.html. In the video, you can also see the raw paper after the image and quotes are printed but before I dye it in the beginning of the video. I hope this helps. :-)
@@MrsCog Thank you so much. I will look at them all.
@@MrsCog Thank you. Ive entered a few search names for the page with the scroll style of corner stamp but cant find any. Could you tell me what it was called ??. T.I.A.
CottageCraftsOnline has a Etsy shop that sells your black ruler ribbon. Liz, your journals are stunning ! Love your work❤️
Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃🍂
Did you type the quotes? Or is it a computer font? And then copy, or print? And then stain?
My entire process and all those answers can be found in this video Megan. :-) czcams.com/video/3kDRgZsAmy4/video.html
Lovely journals as always. Have you tried OnTrendFabrics on Etsy for the ribbon. May not be exact, but the do have black...
Beautiful as always Liz. Love the cards and when I saw those in Instagram I knew they would be in one of your journals. Happy Holidays to you and your family💕🎁🦃. P.S. Can you send me a copy of your pumpkin, chocolate chip recipe ? Love it.
Thank you CJ! A wonderful holiday to you and yours too! I will get that recipe to you. Hugs!! :-)
Is the last sold i never saw it in your etsy shop?
Yes, they sold quickly. Thanks for checking. :-)
