Mini Junk Journal Projects

- Oh, the best laid plans often go awry lol... And just like that, I found myself looking at all the unfinished junk journals, each in a tupperware bowl with a completed journal cover, stacks of cut tea dyed pages, and pieces of fabric and lace for tabs and a handful of images. I located my magic stopwatch and halted time to finish them all. I'm happy to report I survived myself and have now resumed my regularly scheduled creative program. ;-)
The construction and design of the hard covered mini journals shown here, as well as the full size version, adaptable for any theme, is covered in the Complete Junk Journal Course at: www.etsy.com/listing/585428240

I just can't say enough about this mini! The over-sized sari is like the icing on the cake-it's the perfect touch! And, the colors on mine totally match the colors of our living redo! It's like you KNEW! 😍 I love all these and you are a true inspiration! Thank you!!
Your attention to detail is amazing, your stitch work is beautiful. The patience it would take to complete this would be something I could never do, my fingers would get in the way. Really talented.
Wow what creativity.... And a plus for me I get not only ideas but a history lesson thank you. You are so special I wanna be with you every morning.....Love the way you two work can we see more of Mr. Cog and your face too. These are super-sweet. Great things come in small packages, for sure! Wishing you all the best in 2019, Mrs. Cog. : )
these are just adorable - I love the scarob beetle, it looks as though it might walk away. Thank you for sharing :) x
I am waiting for the new year to buy the course and time has never passed so slowly!!!!! I just love these journals and I can't wait to try my hand at making one since they are always spoken for! And on another note, our solar panels are wonderful -- it took us forever, but we now get little checks most months, although we still mysteriously pay Dominion Power monthly about $7.00, we think it's for rental of the meter or something, it's always the same amount.
Oh wow these are just utterly gorgeous x
Delightful as always, Liz. Bunches of smiles, CarolMartineArt
Love your little mini journals! The sari ribbons are just beautiful! tfs xx Maggie
Amazing! !
Marvelous! I wasn't interested in making mini journals, but after seeing these (and hearing that you have a collection of them) made me want to make some! I was gifted a mini journal with a hand-felted pink cover by Pirjo (from Germany), and now I think I may select one or 2 of your digi kits to use to fill its pages, just for something fun to look at! Thanks for sharing, Liz!
Happy New Year to you!
Wowzer! Love them 😍
Coffee is in my blood 😊😃

Hi!! I just love your work. And the pictures of your mountain. I am enjoying your videos, have visited your Etsy shop, and I am learning so much. Thank you. I was wondering if you would tell me what kind of printer you use? Your pictures and ephemera look amazing. Thank you. Conni Hall
Thank you Conni! Both the ink jet printer and the laser printer I use as well as the ink and toner refills are listed on this page: mrscogs.blogspot.com/p/tools-materials.html
Thank you so much for the info about your printers. Love, love, love your work. 🙋🙋😍
These journals are so fun! I love making your mini journals from your course. I gave some for Christmas gifts this year. Good for you finishing your unfinished projects...now I know it’s possible haha! Isn’t it interesting about different artists painting Cleopatra as if from their country not hers. I have always felt that way about how the three wise men are depicted- and the mounts they ride. Interesting.
Hi,
I was wondering if you could direct me to one of your classes that would show how to make these mini journals? Thank you. I saw around 5 on your ETSY, but didn't know which would be best.
Hi Dela, the mini journals similar to these are covered in the "Complete Junk Journal Course". That class shows how to make full size, fully loaded journals and then how to miniaturize them into the mini's shown in this video. The details are in this brief video about that course. czcams.com/video/X6FvREypMJQ/video.html Thanks for checking! :-)
Just beautiful Liz , don’t know if I’d make any that small. The new year is going to bring many things for me. A move in Feb. , an Etsy store and you-tube. Hopefully in May. The move was unplanned so it has thrown a big wrench into my life. Thinking positively, it will get me organized!💕💐🧚♂️👍
Thank you CJ. Oh an Etsy store, how exciting. The Buddhists say the only thing that never changes is that everything changes. Sending you huge positive thoughts and hugs! I'll be in touch via email soon. :-)
Cleopatra was not pure Egyptian, she was of Macedonian decent..... she was a descendant of its founder Ptolemy I Soter, a Macedonian Greek general
