- Removing the speed limiter on my ex British Gas Volkswagen Caddy maxi. These techniques should also work on other VAG group vehicles such as Audi, Seat and Skoda.

I’ve just had my British Gas caddy van remapped and speed limiter off at Bellman’s in Sheffield.
Thought I would go for the full re mapping as I had a long journey up there. Now top speed of about 122 mph.
Well worth it .I know zilch about electronics etc and could have easily been caught out.
Chris warned about things going wrong if not done correctly.
He s booked up til November so I’m glad I got it done.
Had a nice tour of the Peak District and hike on way home,😀

yay my old ford had one taken off @ 56... only to find another, forget that speed but same garage just cleared other for free.. result :)

Can you tell me how to get rid off that annoying speed limiter on my caddy van?
You'll need to do it using vcds, any garage who has the software should be able to do it. If they say it can't be done, it's not true. Most remap specialist's or electronic specialists will be able to do it

So I have the option to remap it , VW garage?

Yes and yes! Other people should be able to take off the limiter, but many don't know how so just tell you it can't be done.
Going to view X British Gas 2013 1.6 diesel 88k miles, injectors and water pump replaced in 2022. The van is fully converted to a camper at a high standard… it’s on for 9k I’m going to try for £7500… what do u think mate? Cheers
