Holy crap ive been looking for videos with painting process of syles like this for forever, beautiful painting
I respect folklore. It is part of who we are. 🎉😊
PS Assassin's Apprentice (the first book in the farseer trilogy) is the best fantasy series i've read in a looooong time. Female author is always a plus as well
Stumbled across this today. It makes me want to pick up watercolour haha. It turned out so beautifully!
Oh I’m so glad, that’s wonderful!🥰 and thank you
A bit late perhaps, but your painting reminded me of those of Anton Pieck; a 20th century artist who painted both industrial and fairy tale scenes. In the Netherlands there is a theme park based entirely of its style and drawings (De Efteling) and is very popular!
Lovely work! reminds me of a book I used to read as a child featuring paintings by the Swedish artist John Bauer, I like how everything but especially the swans looks so alive, you’ve really managed to capture their beauty:)
Oh thankyou so much! :) Yes I love John Bauer’s art - I was actually quite inspired by his tall trees for this painting🤩
This turned out amazing! It reminds me of old fairy tail illustrations books 😍
Thankyou so much😊
This is lovely and the original tale is my favorite. Thank You.♥
Oh it’s such a beautiful story, I’m so glad you like it, thankyou🥰
The wheel of time has so many books in the series, i highly recommend
I love that you are reading this series and sharing your inspiration but I had to mute the video because I am about to start reading it and didn't want any spoilers! Personally my favorite part of the video was when you talked more about the painting technique and choices and process rather than the books and stories. But you do whatever makes you happy! I'm just giving my two cents :)
Omg! This is so amazing
I can’t believe more people havn’t found this channel
Oh thankyou😊
I like this format 😊 with the backstory. cute painting
Thanks😊
very late to the game, but id recommend juniper and thorn by ava reid! amazing, but definitely check trigger warnings
Very nice, I love the misty quality the background has.
Thanks! I’m glad that came across☺️
Wish I could like this way more than one time. Love this fairytale so much! And your more moody Celtic depiction of it appeals to me so much. Can’t wait to see my print! 💚
Oh Thankyou very much!! This means a lot🥰🍃
This is gorgeous 🥺
Thankyou!

Absolutely 💯 beautiful ❤
So lovely,really magical!❤
Thanks!🩷
omg such a beautiful work!
Thank you so much!
I adore the atmosphere you've created in this painting. I'm currently reading 'Daughter of the Forest' and love it so far. My favourite book by Juliet Marillier is 'Wildwood Dancing'. For another fantastical and atmospheric novel set in a forest, I recommend 'In the Forest of Serre' by Patricia A. McKillip (World Fantasy Award Winner). I also recommend 'The Snow Child' by Eowyn Ivey for a winter forest read. :) xo
Oh that’s wonderful, I’m glad you’re enjoying! And thankyou for the recommendations - I will certainly read wildwood dancing, and those others sounds great, I will check them out!🥰
Yay!! I'm so excited for you!! 🥰🌲🧚♀🐸@@laveragrace
How's your experience with masking fluid? Does it let you paint without issues on those areas after removing it?
I never have many issue with it, as long as I peel off every part of it (it can be easy to miss some)😊but I’ve never really used it over heavily painted areas, so not sure how that would go🤷♀️
The version I know it’s nettles and they disfigure her hands
Oh yes, I believe it’s nettles in ‘the wild swans’ by Hans Christian Andersen
Nice work! Keep it up! New Sub here..💕👍😀
Thanks so much!😊
