Your wish has been granted, I wish someone would tell me this sooner cause i really need this advice. I've always wanna be a designer, but I settled as graphic designer now cause it's on the border between my job interest and what my families allowed me to be. I've always feels unsated after every work i've done, it feels like i know i can do more than this. Guess i'll find some free time to invent something instead of focusing only on graphic design.

My soul needed this. Between your art, storytelling voice, and peaceful vibe, I truly needed this. I have struggled with sharing my art on social media to the point I lose my creative spark, and I now realize I was trying to follow the algorithm instead of just sharing my art for ME. I’ve been an artist all my life. I began painting fairies playing in the woods and in Fall sitting on a golden leaves in the creek and the fairies laughing as they sit on their leaf and float down the creek swirling and giggling. I painted that world,way before internet. A few years back I got sick could not leave my bed.cried and cried cause there were no answers, I spiraled down so low my studio became a cold room with spider webs. After a fall and paralyzed leg they flew me to Cleveland Clinic finally after 8 years later,they found the answer. I am now able to paint in my studio but I needed a change a fresh look,I washed the crystals hanging in the.windows my aide swept and cleaned for a week. I use to paint for what would sell and I loved it. But my heart was with the fairies calling me home again and greeting me back. BLESS you sweet friend for inspiring me to get up,love myself, Love My body,and paint.
That's a salve to all the artists' souls out there in the beginning of their journey.. painting with our hearts is truly magical

The ones I've mentioned were books. However ,I do Love fairy series a great one I enjoyed recently was Carnival Row. 'Cursed' also has some interesting fairy/fae lore. The movie 'Bright' had a really interesting depiction of elves and other fairytale beings which I enjoyed. @@samanthacboyer

I am *SO happy* to have found you! I was once a sculptor of Fae, tiny 4" faceless beauties, nude and showing in their hands a snowflake or an insect. Even smaller child fae all bunched up hiding faces in knees, wings folded down. Their wings were wire filled with Pearl-Ex interference infused into clear Gallery Glass paint, and they took flight on a black thread.
Now I work in dolls and statement jewelry but lost my muse. :( I think you may have reminded me which way she went!

I love how people who didnt go to art school are called self taught. I went to art school & i consider myself as "self" taught. The teacher shows the techniques etc but I am the one actually picking up the brush and putting it to canvas. I believe all artists are self taught.

I just finished a business course for the second time over the span of 20 years and they actually don't teach you for the best in our world to succeed. I have been told so many things about what not to do, and I find that reDONKulas, to say the least!!! I love this story. Thank you. I still prefer oil paint though. And here is why- the pure pigment is made of crystalline structures that eminate light in a unique manner. Crystals and earth have a magical quality to their energetic compositions. But I also think that if a painter is happy with their medium- it will also create alchemy
Best advice for creating art. The day I let go of focusing on selling my art, my creative blocks went away. I've been so happy.

I live why actual fairies. They scared the hell out of me at first but now we’re cool 😅🧚 I am also an artist and feel brave enough to create again.
Nice that you’re young and have your options in front of you. I was born when “girls get married and have families” “you can’t make a living doing art” parents, teachers, counselors everyone repeated this ad nausium. Plus there was a general attitude of “why waste college on a girl”. My parents were old and poor military. I married twice, raised 9 kids, and got a degree in Nursing because it could provide for a big family on a single income. Now I’m old, and poor financially, and would love to paint but the whole universe seems pitted against me, including breaking my right hand so it’s always painful. Oh well. I still believe (really) in fairies.

Wow, Love this video, so true I recently discovered that this is exactly what Art is about - Expression. I actually got to a pretty decent level at drawing portraits, but I never enjoyed it and It was just that my soul wasn't there it was an empty shell of art just sitting there, depleted of all life and wonder. Thankfully now I'm recovering from that and learning I can create a "bad" looking painting, but I can have much more fun and be much more fulfilled and I never felt happier! I feel this is the way to be the greatest artist you could be!

Couldn’t got upon this piece of advice when faefolk is upon me from all sides, and I am basking in everything Green✨🍀💚🐸👑 I know that I can only and only create from my heart, and only then it can create real magic, I have realised that thinking too much, or doing it for audiences other than my heart and divine spirit, is not what art to me is! Last fall when I was in the woods, I gave thanks to the fairies for taking care of the forest. Chills ran up my spine as though they were saying thank you for my appreciation. That’s when I started believing.
