The command grab install is so scary lol, especially if you're unsure on what to do while being pressured in the corner, she'll just up and grab you.

Can’t WAIT for the Bubzy video! As my current main, his scrubby gimmicks and (kinda) crazy near TOD combos are SUPER FUN.
So far my time with him has been a blast apart from the moments where I get too cocky and lose to constant pressure from a Soriz 💀.
Totally get that feeling of A.Belial losing to himself rather than actually earning a win yourself. The health costs are a smidge too high.
Yeah but considering he can pretty much 2 touch you it's kind of justified. I think if they were to adjust him it would be nice to lower the health costs and in exchange lower his damage or increase his combo limit.

loved the video, im a Vira player, and learned a lot from this video, im in a1 rank now and still having problems with people who just sit bloking in the corner and have the reaction time to counter my jump attacks, couldnt figure it out yet, and for some reason the moment i go for a grab they always press a botton haha and i also get impatient because i have to chase them the entire match, but you helped me a lot today man, ty

Jumped a lot of characters at first but Vira just clicked for me. She just has a very natural frame trap and strike throw gameplan. Also love how she could just switch up her tempo once you get into her ideal range.

She has ways to land the U command grab by mixing up after sweep into 22L (and even combo into it), way more practical than the corner shenanigan.

Dunno if it's in the video but Vira can combo 22H into 5U and you can pretty much throw out a 22H for oki whenever it's up as well. As long as the sprite connects and I believe they're still grounded your command grab will connect

Another easy way to get install is to just test your opponents reactions. Kinda like how sf players will test you with a jab drive impact you can just cancel a blockstring or midscreen combo and see if you can get your command grab for the install right there. Most ppl will react tho 😢

For those wondering about Beatrix like the chat, as a player of the mobile game Beatrix is known for being an "enmity" character that consumes her own hp or makes herself far more fragile for accordingly strong buffs(at least when she came out, shes pretty outdated nowadays) and benefits from being in do or die low hp scenarios. If you asked me, she's probably going to have self hp reduction like Avatar Belial and ramp up her own power over the course of a round. but have the ability to survive lethal hits beyond what's normal, not sure what that would entail but maybe Guilty Gear-style guts mechanic or some kind of burst-ish mechanic to give her a last chance.
Grand Beatrix coming soon and she will be op again, one of my fave characters.

Good video! One thing I think you're mistaken about is 214M giving a full combo on throw bait. Throws aren't counterhit recovery in Rising, so moves that require counterhit or crouching to combo are only mildly effective throw baits. Still useful imo, but not as good as the ones that combo.
214m during install is a launcher regardless of the hit. So it is in fact a good throw bait move and does give a full combo consistently when it lands.
A bummer the only tournament I can get that color at is in IL of all places. Really cool idea, just like RoA but Cygames has to hand that code out to tournaments like candy. I'm actually going to a regional for GBFVS next week, was sad I don't get the code.

Ah man watching it again I really did get owned, I'm the Seox at 35:10, I really didn't know how to fight Vira very well and really still don't, only picked up GBVSR recently and didn't really play the first so I have lots of matchup stuff and mechanic stuff to practice and learn.
I got deranked back to S here but Im back up to S+ 3 now haha, ggs hope we randomly meet in ranked again in the future
