Torqueing is not required for getting the free-play in tapered besring, just hand tighten and constantly rotate the wheel and be sure it rotates freely not scouring the besring rollers.

Very good video. The Mitsubishi L200 K74 version fitted with ABS is an absolute nightmare to get at the front wheel sensors to try and clean them. They are too exposed and if you try to remove them they will most likely snap off leaving the sensor inside. These front wheel sensors are so magnetic I can even pick up a pair of vice grips with one. So any rusty dirt particles are immediately attracted to them which can then trigger a fault code in the ABS system. Beware of previous owners who remove ABS lights to cover up faults. The ABS light should always come on very briefly when starting the ignition.

Not required torque wrench in tightening the bearing retainer ring-nut.you can tighten manually and hub must be rotated as per rotation of nut, feel that there must be no drag of bearing, nevet over tighten to avoid damaging the bearing.

What is the spindle socket part number please? Clever to use the one for the 3/4 ton chevy. Probably much cheaper than the Mitsubishi part

Do you need the torque wrench for the bearing retaining ring? I saw a couple posts where is just says you can screw it in hand tight?

So the only reason for taking the wheel off is to lock the rotor with a screwdriver. Interesting!
