    In Pokémon X&Y, there’s a feature that’s never mentioned in game, which was dubbed as “natural objects”.
    What this means is that in specific areas around the Kalos region, there exists the chance that with every encounter with a wild Pokémon, you will see an object in the background. (typically there are 3 different types in an area, with just 2 exceptions)
    These will vary from trees with different berry colors, different kinds of rocks, snow and sand piles, and grass blades.
    From there, you can actually use a specific move from a small list of moves to attack this object, and you will gain an item from this object!
    These items vary from berries, evolution stones, various held items, and even the first appearance of the snowball, an item I didn’t realize existed since X&Y!

    You know, I’m kind of okay with certain trainers in the games having Pokémon with impossible movesets, as long as it makes sense for that trainers story. Could be fun. For example, a trainer having a Bagon that learned Fly or a Magikarp with Waterfall.

      @synckar6380 Před rokem +16

      @@AdminAbuseThere’s no lore or reason behind why Pokémon learn certain moves 80% of the time. Giving a NPC trainer Pokémon an impossible move is honestly a really good chance to establish lore and make the battle unique. I think that a swimmer that taught their pet Pokémon Surf through countless days trying to swim at the beach would be great for example.

    • @ShadowNinetales
      @ShadowNinetales Před 9 dny +1

      @@synckar6380 The ability to learn Waterfall would be a cool rare talent for especially gifted Magikarp. But I don't know how a Bagon would physically be able to use Fly. Unless it was some form of telekinetic levitation...?
      I guess we do already have tailless Pokemon with Iron Tail and armless Pokemon with punching moves...and special events such as Flying Pikachu. They seem to be pretty adaptable critters.
      It's really more the case that Pokemon's moves make DO sense 80-90% of the time, but when they don't, it's very noticeable.
      Some of the Pokemon that can learn Surf seem especially random. Tauros, Aggron, Rampardos?? What?

    The thing about Shedinja is that its starting moveset will always be the same as the Ninjask it splits from, regardless of if it can learn the moves itself or not. As such, they probably have a special flag on Shedinja so that it won't appear as illegal if it knows any moves Nincada learns.

  • @My1xT
    @My1xT Před rokem +1

    regarding swords dance this is a common case of learn via pre-evo. shedinja on split always just copies the moved of the nincada, just like the ninjask obviously does.
    another example of a move that cannot be learned unless by pre-evo is Hydro Pump on the Mudkip line where only Mudkip itself learns the move pretty damn late and the only way to get Hydro pump on the evos is to keep your Mudkip as a Mudkip for that long.

    Let me think... Uh, in Pokemon Red and Blue there is a SNES in the player character's room, as per the tradition of putting a Nintendo home console inside the player's room. However, in FireRed and LeafGreen they decided to turn it into a NES for some reason. This is made even funnier when you realise that Red and Blue are Super Game Boy enhanced. Similarly, while Sun and Moon have a Wii U, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon swapped it out for a Switch because Nintendo replaced the Wii U with the Driftinator 9000.
    I knew barely any of the things on this list however.

    Shedinjas can bug Pokemon Home. If you transfer a Nincada from Home into a current game amd evolve it into Ninjask and Shedinja, transfering them back causes Home to think one is clone and attempts to delete it.
