Well, that must be the most maladjusted chain I have ever seen - and the rear sprocket is buggered.
I'm not looking to score points or humiliate anyone here, hence not mentioning too much about the bike. The rear sprocket is also stuffed. If it is yours then have a look at the chain before it causes a problem.

That spotty, old CB is fooking ace! Homebrew legshields and a sheepskin too. (Its owner has been there and dun it, and is absolutely taking the piss out of the 'all the gear, no idea' bikers.)

@graememorrison333 - Thanks for the comment, the rider is taking part in the charity ride and bought the CB for under £600! I asked how and the pevious owner's car port had collapsed on the bike denting the tank and breaking the radiator 'pods'. As he (the new owner) is well over 6' he has modded the bike for the ride including raising the seat, dropping the pegs and fitting a feckload of extra lights for riding through Scotland in the dark. The legshields are made from a traffic cone and the sheepskin from a sheep.

Ha Ha Ha . but is it possible the centre stand bump stop is missing ? It's not OK whatever it is.

@brockett If you have a look at 0:41 you can see that the chain is sagging below the shark fin and also the state of the teeth on the rear sprocket. Also the rust on the stand shows it's been doing this for a while.

Check out the chains on many delivery riders scooters... Oof...

@danielbateman6518 - Thanks for the comment. Also the lights, indicators, hanging off after market exhaust and usually only a left hand mirror!

OK if you sponsor me first to drink beer.

@barnbersonol - Thanks for the comment, although it's not actually me doing the ride. If I were over 6' instead of 5'10" I would have a choice of more bikes and not paying for lowering kits!
It's not the fact that the chap is riding a bike, but that he is doing LEJoG without using motorways, about 1000 miles and it has to be done in under 24 hours on a bike costing less than £600. I did a 1000 mile ride for a kidney charity in 2020 and it took 16 hours and it was all on motorways.
If you can, say, drink 10 pints while rollerskating as a charity event I will sponsor you.

@@TheRantyRider good point. That's a proper challenge then, fair dues. I was thinking on line of someone with a Blackbird with the option of waiting for a dry weekend.

No worries, of course if I had been sponsored to wait until a dry day before going out on the bike I would be a millionaire with the lovely British weather! There can't be THAT much more water in the sky, surely?
