Noob Trucker in the UK, bringing other new drivers the heads up on what its really like as a new driver. Milti drop and otherwise.I have been driving commercially for one year now and my vlogs are here to show you what driving a HGV the the UK is really like, I don't delete the bad bits its all raw and as it happens.

Fantastic video showing how the class 1 HGV life is and how to couple up to trailers and do the checks for new HGV drivers joining the industry. Especially when the new laws are coming into place where you can go straight for your class 1 which is what I’m thinking of doing. 👍👍 thumbs up for this video :)
Good to see you back on camera patrol Jay, enjoyed that. The J Obertelli trailer in Blackrod. I can remember Jim setting off in haulage when I was a kid, he used to take me fishing, good mate of my dad ( RIP) always brings a smile to my face when I see one of his motors on the road.

Hi Jay good to see you back again and back to your old self. I used to travel the M6 and the M74 every week, up on a Monday and back again on a Friday. The bit over the top of Shap and then once your north of Lockerbie its all great views. But all other areas yes its boring road. Interesting for all the wrong reasons if its windy crossing the Solway Firth section.

nice to see you back Jay, one of my pet hates on the motorway is what that van did in front of you, overtake you right near to a junctiom then pull off when there is probably plenty of room behind you to pull in slow down a little bit then leave behind you,
That Blackrod is strange I go there quite a bit to deliver to howdens and all roads in have a 7.5 weight limit. Maybe the council need to take the signs down as pointless considering the amount of trucks delivering round there.
The railway bridge has been strengthened recently. Maybe they need to take the signs down.
How do you get on when you need to do a “number two” ???

I think your LC ref stands for Livingston Combined (multi temp) and because they already had LIchfield before they built that one. It is where I work out of on occasion as an agency minion on store delivery.
You were in Blackrod and Blackford in the same video too, make sure you don’t mix them up!

driver shortage is a joke, when the truck turns up tip it or reload it simple, whats the point of tipping/loading times you never get tipped or reloaded within in your time slot

Yeah I agree, scotch egg, yuck. Had a lot of them as a kid. One of my pet peeves is dong a delivery and not knowing where I'm going. Stresses me out and makes me want to get an automatic, but the old Mack is super reliable and gets attention. I would like to put dual stacks on it and a cool wrap but that all costs. Never see Mack's on the road anymore.

yeah had a petrol shop assistant like that forklift driver, you ask one question like is there any diesel pumps working? as all the ones I could see had the out of order sign on, next question was would there be a delivery today? as I am leaving the area that day. his attitude stank on the answer to the 2nd question. like f me, don't need to be like that on a polite question of enquiry, it was only 2 questions not irrelevent to the situation, ended up going to a different petrol station instead. no wasn't the fuel crisis. although would have been a fuel crisis if I phoned up the BBC about it!! lol. great vlog as always Jay, keep up the good work really enjoying the content as always. long time viewer.
