It's amazing how he never suffered any serious injuries essentially fighing the way he did, while so many of our stars today seem to have perpetual glass ankles and paper thin hamstrings just from making contested jumpshots.
I'm actually curious about that. We claim sports medicine is better but it seems players get injured way more now than the past. In the past the rules were more looser, physical and agressive in all sports compared today. Even in boxing. The refs will never let a fight like Arturo gatti vs Micky ward go as many rounds as it did in the day. But yet athletes are injured WAY more today than the past.
@@BountyRogueCinemax I think that, connecting to what Josh Connor said, it might be because today's athletes are more focused on branding, social media, and enjoying their money (and they do make much more money than athletes of the past). Perhaps they don't train as hard or as consistently and so their bodies aren't as ready when they do compete.
He’s obviously got a rep as a wild man but talk about an athlete with absolutely zero temper whatsoever. The more frustrated his competitors got, the more he knew he was winning. Absolutely legend.
Just imagine being 6'7 & 230 lbs and playing ELITE ball against some of the best PF and C of the 80s and 90s and not only defending at a the highest level ever but also rebounding against them and saving balls....
Anyone who loves hockey should love Rodman. He's a hockey player in a basketball sized body. For those who don't watch, hockey is mostly a struggle for possession its back and forth until one team controls the puck long enough to run set plays or get a goal on a fastbreak so hockey players spend most of their time trying to get the puck. That is exactly how Rodman played basketball. He couldn't score very well but damned if that mattered at all he just wanted the ball whether it was a missed shot, a casual dribble, loose ball or shot block Rodman went for it every time. 6'7" and had back to back years with 18 rpg and 7 straight rebounding titles. Easily a top 5 defensive player of all time.
This is the kind of basketball that I love. Guys who hustle & play with heart! You don't need to always score to be a good player and to be valuable for your team. Knowing how to disrupt the defense and fight for every possession of the ball matters way more than most fans (and even many players) realize. And its something that doesn't always show up on the stat sheet so in some ways it almost feels like a lost art these days... Nobody did it better than Rodman in my opinion.
Dennis Rodman makes today's NBA players look like WNBA players when it comes to toughness. He's about 6'6" and he held his own against Shaq. Let that sink in.
This man is amazing with all his rolls... leaps..tumbles....stretches and jumps!!! I don't care about his stats its his wild die hard dedicated performance for me! I wonder how many bruises and cuts he endured over the course of his career! I'm hurting just watching! Lol Gotta love Dennis!!!❤❤❤
I was at a game where one of his iconic horizontal save attempts occurred. It was clear to me that it was already out and he was doing it for the cameras. That’s ok. The crowd. LOVED it.
He got to play aggressive bc he knows how to land when he dives or falls. He’s super smart and knows how to mitigate the absorption of the fall to prevent injury.
If today players did stuff like this it be season/ career ending.... And ppl say today players cuz science and medicine and new age diet are more durable than past players... Show then this video... And tell Anthony Davis to do 11% of what Dennis did and watch him leave of a body cast
Lmfao. You gotta give Dennis Rodman the ultimate Props. This man really loved basketball and you can tell by the way he played. He literally brought life to the game. The people in the crowd were always on guard when around Dennis Rodman. Nobody knew where he would strike or where he will be next. He changed the life of a camera man from 1 kick. He scared the white out of white people. The guy had cheer leaders laughing so hard and cracking up all the time. People were very hypnotized by Dennis Rodman. He was the ultimate crowd control champion in any game. When Dennis Rodman was on your team, you felt like you could win at any odds. I am laughing so hard at the positions Dennis Rodman would be in with the crowd. He sat by announcers, he kicked it with the referees after almost destroying them, he talked to women after getting thrown at them, he gave fans a show for their money. The man really loved basketball and you can see it from the People that were influenced by him. The guy is truly a legend, there will never be another Dennis Rodman.
It's amazing how he never suffered any serious injuries essentially fighing the way he did, while so many of our stars today seem to have perpetual glass ankles and paper thin hamstrings just from making contested jumpshots.
Because they don't do traditional weight training anymore which actually reinforced the body to absorb impact better. Then there's the mentality.
Because he is dennis the worm rodman.
THINKING THE SAME THING! ESPECIALLY PLAYING FOR SO MANY YEARS THE SAME WAY!

That’s passion for the game right there
Dude straight dived in the crowds 😁😁😂😂😂😂😁😁😁
thats not only passion its hunger
That's why he became a Chicago Bull.
His play is what made him a legend and its a simple reason: he just wanted the ball a little more than everyone else.
He got that super strength of Superman and Batman

Thanks for the video, the best copilation I've seen. My favorite player.. No Jordan, No Kobe, No Le Bron, Just Dennis Rodman
Dennis Rodman and Ben Wallace are the best!
No RODMAN No championship gain
Heart and Determination to Win. But still selfless during his Hall of Fame Induction Speech. What an Amazing Individual.
Man his dedication to ball diving is amazing... Man, woman, young or old it doesn't matter... He will dive on you... 🤣
A player you’d hate to play against but would love on your team
Bruh... Rodman's hustle was unparalleled, and his durability was otherworldly. Not to mention one of the greatest rebounders to every live. 😯
Only thing parallel is him to the floor when he dives for the ball
All those extra possessions you get with Rodman. Amazing!
Guy dives for ball no matter what, has so much heart and determination, and he wants to support his teammates and prove to them he's reliable
Man just loves jumping head first into crowds 😂

Dennis Rodman, is a character.
A wonderful ball player doing it all in style. Real love for the game.
Great guy doing a lot of extra work.
I absolutely love how the commentators acknowledge and praise the sheer passion Dennis Rodman played with.
Dennis Rodman is hands down the greatest hustler in basketball.
the greatest show on earth! dennis rodman!
If only everyone put this effort into their job. He's one of the absolute best.
Most jobs don't deserve the effort
And not everyone is getting paid millions of dollars for their Jobs

He didn't play for money or fame. He played to be loved.
I never imagined experiencing Rodman at the time that as a kid teen in 90s that he'd be one of the role models I'd choose for my kids 25 years later.
Rodman were involved in thousand of tangles and heated moments, but curiously I never saw him throw a punch
He did kick a cameraman though.
@@jp3813 Yes, that day was too far
Dude dove out of bounds for the ball like a wide receiver dives for a catch in the endzone. Insane passion and drive to keeping the ball alive.
Rodman loves to jumps up the crowd😄😄😄😄And the crowds always love him
4:43 puts his body on the line for the rebound, takes a picture, gets to the other side of the court and hits a three, refuses to elaborate
The best rebounder
This man is amazing with all his rolls... leaps..tumbles....stretches and jumps!!! I don't care about his stats its his wild die hard dedicated performance for me!
I wonder how many bruises and cuts he endured over the course of his career!
I'm hurting just watching! Lol
Gotta love Dennis!!!❤❤❤
He has the best highlight reel I've ever seen.
Dude had a awesome work ethic and passion for the game...period!
I was at a game where one of his iconic horizontal save attempts occurred. It was clear to me that it was already out and he was doing it for the cameras. That’s ok. The crowd. LOVED it.
Showman
11:10 He's literally outrebounding the whole team!
his teammates just watching him
THATS WHY HES THE GOOOOAAATT
@@rjvstheworld8575 THE GOOAAATTT!
And he even said that he would've played for free.
Have I really not been paying attention for thirty years? These guys are literal monsters. They're giants.
Unmatched hustle!
At 48:27 smiling to cheerleaders, it's funny!🤭god, I missed him!🥺😭
Did the video get cut short?
A hour of highlights of you diving on floor and bleachers, that Man earned his money 💵💵
He got to play aggressive bc he knows how to land when he dives or falls. He’s super smart and knows how to mitigate the absorption of the fall to prevent injury.
25:38 probably one of my favorite sights in sports… Rodman celebrating someone else’s points after a pure badass save/assist.
Jordan was Superman, Scottie was Batman, and Dennis was Rodman
Salute to Basketball GOD Dennis Rodman and Thanks to Dunkman827 for posting. CHEERS!!! from the Philippines 11/2/2023
If i went to a bulls game and got front row seating and Rodman didn't jump on or over me i would ask for a refund 😂😂😂
The thing I noticed is that Dennis played hard no matter what part of the season it was. He played every game like it was his last
THAT'S WHY...he was my FAVORITE NBA PLAYER!! LOVE IT!
Was?
@@DOTcom210 Yes sir, but since hes no longer playing, lebron James is my favorite guy all day.
@@woodchamp Have you seen the rookie Jeremy Sochan? I love his attitude
To the Maker of this production. OUTSTANDING SIR. more please. You are educating the masses. LONG live BASKETBALL. LOVE FROM MEXICO
14:43. That's beautiful..the whole sequence.
Rodman was much like Deion Sanders; you hate playing against him but love him if he is on your team.
4:26 one of the (lots of) best Rodman's moments, it's like in some kind of sport movies, I absolutely love it.
I bet he hit the floor more times than he made a shot. 💪 💯
One of the best non scorers ever
This is the greatest highlight real of all time.
Hustle Legend 🐛❤️🔥
This man needs a movie.
I agreed someone should do a biopic of him
The sequence between him and Malone was Beautiful! I need to get me a poster of that.
If today players did stuff like this it be season/ career ending.... And ppl say today players cuz science and medicine and new age diet are more durable than past players... Show then this video... And tell Anthony Davis to do 11% of what Dennis did and watch him leave of a body cast

DENNIS DA MENACE
Just the beast with massive heart!!!!!
he is the heart of the team that he always show to them ball is life
He's the reason the NBA changed the ruling that you can call a timeout while in the air. Now you have to be on the floor
Yeah the game was definitely more physical back then . Old heads were not lying
29:36 girl 📸 ( left ) seems to had a huge crush on Rodman💁🏻♀️🥰 her photos are priceless for a vintage picture👏🏻💁🏻♀️🥰
Man, Rodman was amazing!
31:51 more high quality camera highlights at this resolution of bulls would be magic.
