- Hello and welcome. We've made it to the point where this is one of my last and the final weekend ride with the GoTrax. I also review the scooter that has been with me for over a year now. Hope you enjoy!

just picked one up today for 198! my main use is just heading to the gym and back ( about a 5 mile distance all together )

is it really 55psi for the tires? why is the psi bigger than cars? new to this thanks
Smaller tires = higher pressure
Yo got to change the battery like each 1 or 2 years
If you aren't going full speed, does the scooter auto adjust the speed? Slow down or speed up on its own?
Ik dis late but the scooter has an eco and a sport mode he is most likely switching between the modes
Eco for gotrax goes problay around 9 mph and sports mode on this specific scooter does 15.5 mph
@jplrides I bought the Gxl v2 a couple months now and I’ve been experiencing the battery problem on the display, would you say it’s accurate?
Not really as it jumps all over the place. After standing still for a bit, it can be accurate.
I’ve noticed after taking it off a full charge, I’ll ride for about 30 mins it starts dying, I’ve gotten a new battery from GOTRAX and it’s the same thing
@@nyc_kirly That's expected since it has limited energy to begin with. The battery depletes with usage.
Do you know if the bigger ones last longer? I feel like I wasted my money with the Gxl v2
@@nyc_kirly There are a lot of scooters with different specs and features. You just have to find the one that works best for you.

Does this scooter have a rear back light?
No. If you want one, you have to put an after market one on.
How many hours would you say the battery lasts?

1 hr 15 mins or an hour and a half.
Depends on how far u go, if u don’t go 12.5 miles then your fine, if it dies or turns off,use it like a normal scooter still does something!
I have to say this model rides very well. How much you weigh?
Tend to fluctuate between 140-150lbs

How is this compared to the hover1 Blackhawk??
The blackhawk is a better option when compared to the gotrax. The hawk has 28miles of range, 18mph top speed, and a replaceable battery(?). It also has similar features to the gotrax such as cruise control and a bright LED light. I'm not sure if it has rear brake lights and regenerative braking but it's not a bad scoot. It is a bit pricey so there may be similar or better scooters at a lower price.

How long it last? reliable?
7-10 miles on one charge. Battery was good for me after almost a year of daily usage.

What is the clicking noise
Rear Fender. I hit it once while coming off a curb causing it to have the clicking sound. At first I thought it was the rear tire itself and got really scared. The clicking, however, would come and go when riding, and I was able to reduce the clicking by riding really slow. Over time I learned to just live with the clicking even though it can be replaced.
why is it one of the last with the gotrax
I got a Varla Pegasus coming in so I'm getting rid of the GoTrax

@@JPL_Rides did it actually resell easily? I’ll probably upgrade at some point soon, but I’ll probably keep my commuter scooter as a trunk scooter/beater scooter. Maybe I’d be swayed if people actually pay real money for an old scooter.

@@bikeLife580 I must have hit a bump or something but I remember the sound would come and go. If this happens to yours, you can buy a replacement fender.
My gotrax ultra super quiet
Wish i could turn off that cruise control nonsense. My darn brake doesnt turn off the throtle untill its half way pressed down so ya gotta flick the throttle to make it stop.
Usually a double tap of the throttle will disengage that on some scooters try it out but make sure u have room to use ur brake if nothing happens
@@vegan-vrking9565 I actually figured out the problem with no help from gotrax tech support. You have to adjust the brake cable to where the disk doesn't engage until after the sensor sees you've pulled the brake lever. Added advantage the regen comes on just before the disk brakes start to bite. It gives the brake lever a little more free play than most are used to but it works really well
