- Hello and welcome. Here we the beginning of fall with a high temperature of 95F. This is one random but chill. I intended to go to grocery stores in nearby cities in the future but for now it's local. Hope you enjoy!
Camera: GoPro Hero 7 Black
mannn I wish it wasn't a snowstorm outside... The Gxl v2 was my first scooter, very glad I got it an started my scooter "career" and then a camera for my channel. cheers fr canada
Thank you much for making these videos. this convinced me to get the Gotrax as it seems to have pretty good reliability and features @ 3 hundo. Enjoying it so far. Thank you.
*Great **Latest.Bike** Scooter ! I have had it for almost 2 years now and it is still working great so far! Brake and acceleration are really smooth!*
Your video is the reason I bought this gotrax scooter. I love it ! Thanks for showing us around! Cool 👍
How do you like it
This video totally helped me learn how to drive the go trax and thank you for making it. Peace out
Keep in mind that regulations are different in every city so check with your local laws to truly know how to operate
Man i miss my little gotrax. It got stolen a while back and while im in good shape now that was my only way to work and this video made me think of it.
That was a nice little ride, Who else saw that white Rx7 On Columbus and Colorado Street looks like a 1979✌🏽💪🏼
That's probably the best riding environment you can get lol
It's nice but could be a lot better. Glendale desperately needs better biking infrastructure and I think there's only like 4 or 5 bike lanes in the whole city.
Any city in America has these for rentals
@@morrisjohnsonakamj6346Yeah but spend 45 minutes one and it will cost you $20 You might as well just buy one
I love this video😂BEST VIDEO😮
I have a g3 plus and it’s amazing it gets me wherever I need or want to go! (18mph) which I like 👍
Thank you so much, i brought a gotrax, i love it so much, no more🚶♀️up the street or to a close store, and i did call, they said for me to ride in the street, with the other cars, it has the best brake system i' ve ever seen😧😩😩thank you so much, for inspiring, me to buy one
I got a GMax Ultra this spring and have been having a blast. I like how in a city you just fit in and nobody blinks. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for your support. Squeezing by traffic feels pretty awesome, especially when the cars are at a standstill.
I’ve rode that one before, great commuter scooter.
Pretty cool 😎
Nice entertainment I’m asking for one for Christmas
It's a great scooter!
I have the HJM Trike. Big enough to do a lot of grocery shopping.
Wow, rode by my old apartment on Windsor Rd LOL. Funny coincidence. I live in the bay area now.
Amazing!!
This may sound a bit odd but it is a lot safer in the dark ( only if you are lighted heavy) than the day time, especially around 6 to 10 or just all day . I always feel safer and only issue is cars of no lights as we easily spot them with the lights on to ensure safe path.
Just got the campus pro flex - it’s fantastic
Great video, can't wait to get mine today!
Thank you for the support! Hope you enjoy it :)
Why that scooter bad
@@JPL_Rides No problem man, I did enjoy it but I ended up trading it in for the Yadea KS5.
@@notcodexsand2879 It's not a bad scooter. If you don't mind that's it's not a speedy scooter (only goes up to 15.5mph) and if you have flat even roads where you live than it would be a great scooter.
@@AnimeRick86 nah you can get better for that price or under
Just got it that scooter I already love it:)
Hope you enjoy!
Do it have different gears?
🤔 Instead of that red light in the rear they have a turn signal with a stop light.
I ride my s10 meaghweel to the store all the time!
Update I got the scooter but I rode it flat and I didn’t know will they cover that in warranty
What is the knocking/ clicking sound?
Which city is this? Looks so familiar....
Ojala las pistas sean asi en mi ciudad jajaja puro hueco
Night ride?
Greetings even though I should be asleep I'm watching this but next week moving to Edmonton there is gonna be some brutal colds there so I probably cant ride my gotrax
I don't have any advice for riding in the snow as I get no snow here in SoCal! It probably isn't best to ride in the snow just like it isn't recommended to ride in the rain. Hope you enjoy your scoot before you move out and on the bright side it'll be spring before you know it.
@@JPL_Rides thanks
@@JPL_Ridesoops lol I rode in the rain BUT I didn’t know it was gonna rain while I was out for ice cream
Hello! Really nice video! I’m looking to add front and back lights to my gotrax, which lights did you got?
I had a standard USB rechargeable back light that would strap onto the latch part of the rear fender. You could get a "smart" light that detects when you brake.
How fast does it go does it go 15 km?
Around how long do you charge the scooter? I’m worried I worsened the battery life by leaving it charged overnight a few times.
A couple times won't hurt but don't leave it overnight every night. Usually just charge it until it's full and then unplug.
Are these the same as the gotrax rival im pretty sure theyre the same hut ive never seen anyone confirm
gottah get some lightning sketchers lol
How is battery life ? How long did your scooter last . My hiboy died after 7 months
The battery was surprisingly solid even after over a year of almost daily usage
❤️
I got the xr elite but I really also like the gxl v2
Hey, I'm wondering what lock do you use for this scooter, because I have the same and I want to know which lock is good for this scooter.
A decent U-Lock will do. Some good brands are Kryptonite and Amazer.
Do you find that your scooter will auto accelerate or slow down on its own? Mine seems to do this and can't tell if it's supposed to be or not
The only speed adjustment the scooter should do by itself is cruise control. Something is wrong with your scooter.
Yeah on flat roadways these things really go. 0-15mph in a few seconds. Way Faster than a bike.
Yes acceleration is fast but this scooter tops out at 15mph whereas a bike does not
@@JPL_Rides ye but ion think nobody is going 15+ on a bike consistently
@@neleseh1338 they are way slower than a bike in winter cuz a bike in winter people helthy good body cold air energy so 20mph on Average
Im 14 and i really want one of these scooters, ive tried my friends ninebot scooter that goes 15 mph and it was really fun i almost fell lol and i wanted a ninebot scooter but it costed 700 so im gonna get this gotrax scooter since it is more affordable and you get 15mph with 12 mile range for 300
Cool ride! What's the max speed on this thing?
15 mph
How long does this electric scooters battery last once fully charged?
I'd say it has a range of 6-10 miles and it depends on your weight, route, conditions, and generally how much you push the battery. Once it's at 25% it's gonna die real quick if you push it a lot.
I have it too and it takes around 2 to 3 hours to drain the battery
Nice scooter. How long did the battery last?
Range is 8-12 miles. Battery health was still good after a year of constant usage. I don't have this scooter anymore but I bet the battery health is still good.
What size tires? And do they let you know what psi it should be?
The tires are 8.5 inches, sorry I don’t know what psi it should be.
Hello, just a question. I felt the streets were familiar and I realized 3secs later that I live in this city too. LOL
I'm confused in regards to the road rules for this scooter. I just purchased one and I can't seem to find the rules online.
Are they classified as electric scooters as well?
Is it required to have a license to ride one?
Are you allowed on sidewalks?
california.public.law/codes/ca_veh_code_section_21228
The rules are a bit dated at this point, but basically you are allowed to ride on the street (to the rightmost) and can't drive over 25mph. You also need to ride in the bike lane when available. Honestly the rules are all over the place and don't properly reflect what it's like operate these vehicles. My advice is to just ride anywhere you want as long as you are safe and respectful.
@@JPL_Rideswe went supposed to go in side walk for me and…uhhhh totally never did that 😅
What r those things on the side of the handle bars??
They are most likely addons to the bike.the normal one is the handles, screen, execrator, etc
God loves you
I have this and wanted to ride it to stores and restaurants stuff like that , I thought scooters below 50mph arnt allowed on roads? What are the things I need to have to be able to ride on roads
Check local laws
@@JPL_Rides how do I do thar
Is the speed displayed on the screen in mp/h or km/h?
You can switch it between but mph
I took speed limiter of mine I got 25
Got this one as a tester, never used these before only bikes.
Wow, fast!
This is a good scooter just to zip around town for short distances. If you more speed and range, look elsewhere. I will say this is a very practical scooter due to its size and weight (27 lbs)
@@JPL_Rides yeah the weight makes it more practical.
How do you manage to ride in the streets only going 15mph? Don’t cars honk at you and get annoyed?
Yes all the time. Back then I 100% followed the no sidewalk riding law, but after riding another single motor scooter for a while, I have adopted a mixed usage riding style. I will ride on the street when sage but when I don't feel safe I'll hop on the sidewalk.
With my faster scooter I will ride mostly on the street. Some cars do get annoyed and honk so that's why I also have a horn to honk back at them. Sometimes the horn is used for safety too.
@@JPL_Rides ok. I have owned 27 electric scooters in the past and the one I have now is the Fluid Freeride. Very rarely I have used an electric scooter in the streets just because there’s a lot of cars and the speed limit is 40mph and would be hard to catch up with that. But in early morning and late night when there’s nobody really on the streets, it’s really fun.
why does it keep cutting off?
It's not a full ride video.
What are the attachments on the sides and where can i find them? :)
left side is an average usb bike light (I think 800 lumens) from amazon and the right side is a generic gopro handlebar mount I got on ebay for like $13
@@JPL_Rides thank you!
you just want to accessorize a scooter? for what ?to look cool? if you need a scooter light use a bike light ,use your brain bud
@@morrisjohnsonakamj6346 lmao not talking to a mf named morris💀💀💀💀
How many hours until it dies I’m planning on getting one with 19km
Not sure about hours but you can get around 12 miles range if conditions are good
The milage on this thing👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
It's decent. Anywhere from 10-12 miles.
@@JPL_Rides Do i need a driver's license, to ride in the street? Or do i need to have it, registerd, so the cops don't bother me?
@@reecestar8446 check local laws
@@JPL_Rides ok thanks
Did you steal a bird scooter and do the board swap mod?
No but I rode one in this video
czcams.com/video/GkVEleGzczQ/video.html
Just paid $348.00 for mine! Hope it lasts awhile.
It's a nice little nifty scooter, perfect for simple short trips around town. Hope you enjoy!
Didn't take a charge, so had to take it back. It was so disappointing 😞 😪
I'm thinking on buying this what is the max speed?
15.5 mph
When mine gets down to about 1-2 bars it slows down a lot, and won't hit 15 like yours
Mine does, it depends on your weight, I was riding one with a family member and there’s was also at two bars, but I was going faster than them
Can you ride a scooter on the sidewalk or do you have to stay on the street?
In California the law prohibits riding on the sidewalk and the laws allow for street riding, on the right hand side of the road, on streets with a speed limit less than 35mph (i believe it may be 25). The rules here are a bit odd sometimes as to legally make a left turn I'd have to cross the street at the crosswalk. I've found that if you're aware of your surroundings you'll be fine wherever you ride.
@@JPL_Rides interesting, thanks.
People do both so do I just watch out for people or else the cop will get you lol and yes I'm from California
@@X7L92 yeah nobody cares everyone rides the sidewalk all the time. Just don’t be stupid when it’s crowded.
@@kishascape exactly lol i never ran into people!
Would I be able to ride with my 6 year old, like is there enough space for a adult and a small child?
I don't recommend you do that on any scooter
Probably not there is only room for one
Are u Going to upgrade to different scooter???? Macwheel
Bought a Varla Pegasus and it's coming in tomorrow :)
Any new update on the scooter?
This scooter was sold almost a year ago now
What's that knocking sound?
Rear fender
How fast does the adult one go?
Check the gotrax website. They have various models.
what is that rattling noise coming from?
It's the fender. I messed it up pretty early in the scooters life and I must have hit a bump or something. Sometimes it fixes itself but it always comes back.
@@JPL_Rides oh okay then - anyway thanks for these videos, im saving up to buy a gxl v2 and your videos get me really hype to finally buy it
@@quadrakyiro these are really great. Just watch for traffic people and dog Walkers, first time you get on it takes a few minutes to get used to it but if you’ve ridden a bike or skate board it’s natural. Once you push off and get going get your footing on board and your off! 🏎 💨
what attachments do you have on your scooter
I just have the front and back mounted lights, go pro mount, and a reflective wristband I added to the stem. Both lights are essential when riding at night, as the scooter only has an internal front light and a rear reflector.
@@JPL_Rides front light looks very nice and bright, would you recommend it?
@@cheezeballer267 The built in light by itself? No. The built in light with a mounted light? Absolutely. Something around 800 lumens should be good and some lights are rechargeable.
Is it in km/h or mph?
mph
I wish it was faster is there any way to make it faster?
eh probably but it would require you to mess with the battery, controller, etc. I saw this guy on youtube modify a single motor scooter and get it up to 30mph. You'd probably need a second battery and just in general a lot of know how with these things. Personally I'd recommend just buying a different scooter, with suspension, if you want to go faster.
@@JPL_Rides does 15mph fell pretty good on it?
@@JPL_Rides do u think I’d get away with driving on small roads maybe for a few seconds if I half to?
Is it possible to put a bike holder on it
Do you mean like a bicycle mount on the scooter? If so, no. It doesn't have enough space and would probably struggle to move you and a bike. Your best bet is to just wheel a bike next to you while riding.
@@JPL_Rides I mean those small phone holders on Amazon
For bikes
That's a long grocery store ride
About 4-6 miles in total rountrip
@@JPL_Rides That's great
@@JPL_Rides Are you still using this model
first person riding on an e-scooter on gta san andreas?
Idk where your located but you got balls to ride that on the road with traffic especially since there not supposed to be on the road. Remember preppie you are on a scooter the goes slower than 30 kilometres and you will be make a lot of cars angry by slower them down and also not to mention the Karen’s out there. Again this guy has balls.
I lost my scooter being hit by a car recently it was $800 down the drain!
what was the promo code?
Tell Gotrax to collab with me
@@JPL_Rides huh
I just picked this up for my downtown commute.. hope it last
Unless you're commute is over 10 miles or super hilly, then you'll be fine
@@JPL_Rides no, it’s probably one mile each way
@@dabaydestrian437 Youll be fine if its 2 miles round trip then your scooter should still have around 75% battery left
whats the clicking 😅😅😅 ahhhhhh
Do you where a helmet?
Yes. Safety first, always.

Driving a scooter as if you were driving a car…you are an accident waiting to happen
In California, it is illegal to operate a scooter on the sidewalk, so I ride in the street. I usually ride central as it is the safest spot and cars can pass me if they want. Under law I can also ride in the middle of the lane as there is no bike lane.
The laws are still a work in progress but for now I just consider myself a bike.
This is my first scooter and probably the best toy I've had in my 38 years of life ; ) czcams.com/users/postUgkxvyNuxpWiHTNypxG6nyqyf7ywc7Q16PDM The assembly was easy - Took me 10-12 mins to get it set up and enjoy a quick ride before putting it on the charger for the full charge.I love the push-off feature vs. some of the other scooters that start with direct acceleration. I believe this allows a bit more of a stable start with a jerk reaction. I also like the throttle/acceleration feature that its a slow increase in speed vs. what you would get in a motorcycle. I've taken advantage of the anti-theft system when taking the scooter out to the beach and city. I like the anti-theft system as well as the need to enter a code after you turn it on before you can operate. The powerful front lights are helpful for a night ride. You can see in the picture how powerful the light is as a reflection on the garage. I'm impressed with the lightweight and how easy it was for me to get it set up and going. I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a scooter.
Bro its the best scooter everyone in my neighborhood has it even me 😄😄😄🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴🛴
