I just saw this film again on the BBC. You need to see the film, and understand the history to see how poignant the song to Austria is.

Your singing brings back old memories of a magical mystical time many years ago when the world was young and we visited Salzburg, Austria, to see Sound of Music sites, with my bride and our best friends, all of whom are now passed away, except for the young child then still waiting to be born. She is my Edelweiss.

Thank you for doing such a wonderful rendition of this Anne. Similarly to Derrick, this song holds a special place in my heart.
It was my dad's favourite song, and he died at the age of 38 when I was only 4 years old. Watching the Sound of Music together is one of the few things I remember about him, and I know this was sung at his funeral. 2 years ago I was able to add a happier memory to the song, dancing a waltz to it with my wife as our first dance at our wedding, in honour of my dad.
Always like watching the individual images and their expressions as the song progresses.

When I was a young kid watching "Superman" on black and white T.V. they played this song and at 77 I still love it.

I'm always super amazed at Anne's videos. I can't even imagine the time and the effort, along with the complications that one must take, yet somehow the clips end in perfection. What's truly fascinating here is that if a listener follows any one of the images, he or she can actually hear that character within the others.

My mother was Austrian so I can very much relate to this song and also to Derrick's loss.🙏
In the spirit of this Austrian/German theme, there is a fun, silly and upbeat song that Anne might consider singing in the future. I think it would work well with the clones.
It's by the Austrian group EAV (Erste Allgemine Verunsicherung) from the 1980s and is called "Banküberfall" or "Bank Robbery". The English version of the song, which was something of a minor hit in its day, can be easily found right here on CZcams.

It is one of my favorite songs to sing. It takes me back to when I was soprano. I loved it. I still sing, but I am now too short to hit those high notes. Great video Anne, you are on my most played list of all lists, on spotify and youtube. I love your music, it is music for my soul and heart.
