My older cousin got his CDL years ago. Since then he bought 20 acres of land, built his home from the ground up & bought himself a hummer. He has a son who doesn’t need for anything. He’s such a hard worker & very driven!! You can definitely thrive in this field ❤
I just got my permit working on getting my CDL class a I’m in Denver I’m working at a asphalt plant and have 3 kids that job barely covers my bills I know my CDL class a is going to change my life for the better to provide a better life for my family 💯
After training, I’m going OTR. My apartment lease ends December 31st. What I paid in rent, I can save each month, and pay off debt. Good advice, maybe further down the line I’ll transition to local.
Hey! I completely agree. I’ll probably keep my apartment but I plan on signing with a company and going OTR for the entire first year to get the experience. If the money is what I’m expecting it to be, I’ll probably stay OTR for a few years and then go local and work like a 5am-4pm job or something.
Good stuff bro. Got me wanting to make a video on this subject to offer a slightly different perspective..not in a bad way but for those other peeps that might have kids or an ole lady at home like I did
I am 29 and work food service but getting tired of it. Heard a lot of good things about trucking and as an introvert it sounds like the perfect career for me. I’m going to join this trucking school that isn’t far from my house so can’t wait to get my CDL.
@@outerspacevegasbeats im not sure brother, I’ve never done OTR so I can’t give you information on that. My best bet would be whoever offers you the best plan (home time, work, pay, loads etc.)
Got my cdl and first job at sysco and just got laid off cuz I didn't passed probation cuz supposedly I was to slow at finishing. Just applied to US Foods
It’s ok bro, when you’re new to something, you’re not always going to be the fastest. It’s all about repetition, the more you do it, the better you’ll get at it. Also, don’t ever break your back for no company, always take care of yourself first. Good luck 💯
Do most local jobs give you weekends off ? And also when you took the dmv written test did you study the hand book from the dmv ? Of what website did you use to study for the questions? I found this CDL class a test for free on google
Most local delivery jobs, you’ll be working weekends until you get seniority or a route that has weekends off. My days off are Wednesday’s & Thursdays. I studied the book and watched CZcams videos, as fast as the test goes, I think I know which one you’re talking about, it does help but study the CDL manual also, you can download it to your phone
What up bro thanks for making this videos. I’m currently going to cdl school to get my license. I been thinking about working for a concrete company as I am trying to stay local. Can you give me your insight and why didn’t you stick with the concrete company. I will really appreciate your insight.
The reason why I didn’t stay at the concrete company was because I started working there in March, and work was still slow at the time and I wasn’t making the money I was hoping to make and I also had a mortgage to pay . But I really liked working there
Great video, but do you think it’s still a good career for the next 20 years? I am on the fence about getting a cdl, I also think it’s a good idea since I’ve been doing driving jobs for awhile. I’m 34 now. I am just worried that automation might happen soon and a lot of truckers won’t have jobs
You have to get your permit first, you can do that by going to your local DMV and taking the writing test. 3 test total. 1) General Knowledge 2) Air Brakes 3) combinations test
I doubt it bro. At least not anytime soon. Sure AI can probably drive the trucks, but who’s going to do the manual labor? Like opening the trailer doors, unloading product, fuel up, etc.,

in classes for my CDL right now , is locally still decent pay or OTR pay the most ?
It’s different pay in each state bro, I’ve never done OTR so I can’t speak on that

Yes it will be good for the next 20 years
Yes, definitely. Trucking will always be a great career. Especially if you start your own company, that’s where the real money is
how was the experience and pay working at the concrete company?
Aye bro I’m in aurora what’s the pay and schedule looking like at qcd I’m thinking about applying there?
It’s component pay brotha, depends what route you do. You can make anywhere from $350-$500 a day
Yeah OTR is the main issue I’ve heard.
I’m 18 trying to get my CDL should I get my permit before going to a school?
Yes, you need to have your permit before you go to school.
Is the CDL hard to get ?
Make more video bro! 😎
Working on it!
Were did u go to get your CDL bro? Im debating going to prime but not trying to live on a truck with a complete stranger during training
Watch my first video I have on my channel brotha, I talk about it there 😃

Im in the process of getting it but I heard AI is gonna kill trucking smh. What's your opinion on that bro?
I doubt it bro. At least not anytime soon. Sure AI can probably drive the trucks, but who’s going to do the manual labor? Like opening the trailer doors, unloading product, fuel up, etc.,
@JoseRivas0624 I get you bro. Appreciate the response bro definitely still gonna go for it
How much you making hrly im making 30hr local driving
I make component pay. So anywhere from $350-$500 a day, depends on the route I’m doing. And I could usually finish the route in 8 hours
💪💪💪💪👊👊
Can i get a CDL with a DUI?
Do you have a valid drivers license? If you do, then you should be able to get a CDL. It just depends on employers if they’ll take it
You think I can get a hellcat once I get it
what
If that’s what you truly want then yeah however I wouldn’t worry about cars yet.
You could if that’s something you really want, but I don’t recommend you get it right away
IS THAT ROCK ON THE TABLE?
Yes it is
It looks like an Amethyst rock
Thoughts on cali cdl?
I’m not sure about cali, but I’m sure it’s all the same
Victor Vil college got a free 2week program they teach you everything, also Bakersfield- Sacramento have cheap CDL programs
How much do you make/week?
Like $1,500 after taxes
