    Great video , thank you for share sir.
    I have seen people doing back rolling. When do you recommend to do backroll?

      Thank you so much Sam 👍I appreciate it 🙏 So we back roll depending on what the texture is and what the client wants. Back rolling always usually helps when it comes to touch ups at the end of a project, and is really good on orange peel or heavy textures. Out here on the multi million dollar homes, a lot of the clients don't want to see any roller stipple on these smooth hand textured walls, so mostly we leave it up to the client and or what the budget calls for. We do charge a little more money for back rolling out here, so it is rarely requested. Great question, thanks for the comment

    Do you spray just one coat on interior walls on new construction?

    You guys do really good prep overall, I'm impressed. One problem I have is I mostly do residential repaints, usually brush and roller, too in occupied houses, and I find it's really hard to "sell" prep. Everyone's usually always happy or ecstatic at my end results due to good prep, but other people using Ben Moore (not that it's bad, it's not, I still will use it, too) often can bid higher and get the jobs by basically saying "we're using the best paint" and a lot of times the end results look/feel/perform a lot worse than me with cheaper paint (and usually not stuff like Promar, but say, Cashmere) and much better prep overall. I also tend to be overly careful with drop cloths and plastic on almost everything, whereas other guys I've subbed with doing the same jobs with said expensive paint tend to be more reckless.
    It's seemingly hard to sell, but how do you sell the prep (aside from these CZcams videos) as a contractor? Obviously some paint is better or worse, but prep is the most important determining factor for how nice stuff looks and how long it lasts.

    That is nice work. Do you guys pull tape immediately after spraying? Do you need to razor blade the tape line to avoid peeling paint off? Also is the SWB flat a dead flat?

      Hello Dave, yes we do pull off the masking when its still wet. We usually give it a little dry time maybe 30min to and hour so the dust can settle a bit, but we always do pull wet! If for some reason we can't, then the next day, yes we will score it so we don't have tape pull👍👊 thanks for the comment

    Hi this was very informative! What spray gun are you using? Also what are your thoughts on airless spray paint guns for the average joe?

    What kind of caulking do you use for the inside of the sheetrock?

    • @PaintBoss

      Hello there, 👋 so sometimes it depends on what we are doing and what material we will use over the top, but in closets we like lighthouse caulking for closet packs because it flows out of the gun really easily, and then for trim and casings we use sherwin 950A, and or some powerhouse. Just depends on what we are doing, but we are always looking for caulking that flows out and levels out nice and smooth. Thanks so much for the comment 👍🙏

    Did you spray the walls and the ceiling the same color - was it white?

    • @PaintBoss
      @PaintBoss  Před 3 lety

      Hello Michael, in this house the main color was Benjamin Moore edgecomb gray. yes and out here the designers and builders like to shoot same color on walls and ceilings as long as its a lightish color👍 thanks for the comment
