These trucks are feats of incredible engineering. I can’t even begin to describe the amount of stress placed on these machines here lol

@@No_one5888 I got nervous watching this and I'm not even racing....so stressful lol
Fax lol all I'm thinking about
I can’t believe those driveshafts hold up on the loaded trucks.
No kidding, those things must be 4" diameter solid steel shafts to take that kind of torque, and if it is a tubular shift then there's more steel than air inside lol.
"Made in China"
@@TheExplosiveGuy I'm not trying to be a smart ass, and it may not be obvious but a tube make a stronger driveshaft than a rod for the same amount of material. This is because if you locate all that material as far from the center line as possible it is more effective at resisting twist (wall thickness does play a part, but it's a balance with diameter). Think about a lever. The longer it is the more force can be held. Same principle here. More material farther from the axis of rotation makes a stronger driveshaft versus a solid one of the same weight and material. The larger the diameter the less effective the material at the center of the rod is at resisting twist. This is why almost all modern driveshafts are hollow.
In heavy duty race applications like KOH they actually gun drill the axle shafts because the material at the center of the shaft is not effective at resisting twist and just adds to the weight of the shaft.
@@TheExplosiveGuy lol, 4 inch? Try 6 to 8 inch, the power those trucks are making is insane, that’s all custom built hardware

In a semi, the gear you take off in determines everything. For bobtail it's 3rd gear but for loaded truck it's 2nd gear
In any car what gear you take off in determines everything.......
@@MsDawnKeyballs in a race I would say 2nd. In adds power and more speed. But depends on your hp and it you have a supercharger or turbocharger. You don't want to lose control
@@ryanmax-grappler8654 yeah but it also takes away from your acceleration which is a massive part of a drag race

Burnout with a truck ! That was incredible.
I remember growing up as a kid and my father being a trucker. I loved traveling the country any chance I got to be with my father. I would often stay up all night especially when in the bigger cities or there was neat things to see. It was even cooler when you would pull-up to a red light and have a truck next to you and you'd look over at them looking back at you and you just knew.. As soon as the light changed it was hammer down..Was MUCH cooler than this because these were modified diesel trucks that ACTUALLY were used for work but their owners had taken alot of pride in working on them. You could always tell the most badass truck's as they would blow past you even fully loaded like you were standing still(44,000lbs)
That's amazing bro
I dont know what I'm more impressed by, the clutches, driveshafts, diffs, or input shafts on the trannys, its incredible the amount of stress those components are under in order to fully send the mountain ranges that are these trucks.
Having worked on all you mentioned since the late 80’s I’d say the diffs first , input shafts second and any cac hose third. It is impressive as all hell that they hold together so well
Looks sooo good ahha. What would the estimated average power be in these things ? I would imagine low bhp but enormous torque

The sounds are amazing. Also tractors doing wheelies is fantastic
Would love to know each trucks power stats, must be off the chart!

The Americans and Canadians know how to do trucking in style, with maximum horsepower and torque, love it 👌👍🇺🇲🇨🇦
The drive trains in these trucks are modern marvels. The torque is unbelievable.
Reminds me of my bronco. If you rev it in first it gets super loud and the front want to lift up, but it takes about 5 seconds just to get to 10mph.
The anti-lag sounds awesome
Instead of doing a wheelie, the trucks are twisting😆....Powerful engine man💯💯
This is probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen!💪🏽
Absolutely Amazing!
I wonder how engine mounts feel when one wheel goes up during accellaratation because of that sheer amount of torque
Looking at how the chassis twists, they have some serious hp and torque numbers
200 hp, 10000000ft lbs lol
@@isthatasupra9569 👍👍👍😜
@@isthatasupra9569 more like 2000hp
Stock semi trucks make about 600 HP and 2,000 ft-lbs of torque. These drag trucks however, are making anywhere from 2,000-2,500 HP and developing 4,000-5,000 ft-lbs of torque. The motors and transmissions are billet machined custom jobs to take that kind of power, it's insane. The drive shafts are nuts...
Not to mention Semis are build to bend and twist.
Just like the trailers are bowed up to flex down when holding weight
If you've never noticed that pay attention to a flatbed semi trailer and notice how it's not straight when empty.
No different
I had no ideea trucks can perform a whealie... while pulling a fully loaded trailer... the sheer amout of torque those engines pull out... I am amaized the gears box doesnt fall apart...
It's not actually pulling a wheelie, there is so much torque between the motor mounts and the rear diff it makes the frame twist🤣, if you notice the right wheels are always in contact with the ground, since that wheel is being twisted downward while the left wheel is twisted upwards. The fact that all the components can take that kind of torque is insane...
It easy:Lot of HP/Torque and fact trucks are heavy that gives rear wheels increased grip but not enough to handle all power.
The torque is crazy!
